Ashley did a great job uploading my book on Amazon's Kindle! Her programming knowledge helps her figure out what needs to be done.

Guevara (jguevara) | 63 comments If you don't live in the States and don't have a stateside address or bank account, forget it. and Amazon doesn't tell you until AFTER you jump through all the hoops. Scribd is the same problem, but at least they tell you upfront. So, If you're not a cit or living in the states, stick with smash and save the hassle; like we have nothing better to do... (sorry, but yeah I was pissed. 5 hrs set up 5 days back and forth and not a live body to talk to before i realized it was "Sorry Mate" and I'm a yank for chrissake!!!!)
Ashly, have you seen Dan Brown's eBook? can you do that? I'm sure there's a way, and you would know. if so, pls contact me. jguevaranovels@gmail.com.

Guido Henkel (guidohenkel) | 51 comments j, I haven't seen Dan Brown's book. What makes it so special?

J. Guevara (jguevara) | 63 comments Guido, the format reads like a regular book. But I found a great site that sets it up for you free, and simple. http://www.freado.com/book/5733/The-T.... That's my link, check it out. if you like, follow instructions. If i can, anyone can. Book Buzzr also does a bunch of free promo for you, like auto tweet, mktng links, sales and FB updates. don't know how they make any money, and didn't ask. But I've had more hits on it than anything else i've tried.

Guido Henkel (guidohenkel) | 51 comments Okay, I see, but that's not for the Kindle, though. This is just a browser-based application, right? Looking good, though.

J. Guevara (jguevara) | 63 comments Right. Kindle can't handle anything but Kindle. Don't know what Dan Brown does bout it. It's just a cool eBook. And the promo stuff with it is great.

Guido Henkel (guidohenkel) | 51 comments Okay, that makes sense then. I was just confused because the original post was about Kindle layouts.

Steph Bennion (stephbennion) | 184 comments Hi - I am having problems formatting the book's item description on Amazon. I read a post in the Kindle forums that suggests you can use simple html tags, but when I tried updating the description via the KDP pages, all the tags were stripped out upon publication. I can see on other book pages that it is possible. Does anyone know how to make this work?

Yeah, using the guidelines from smashwords works beautifully on kindle.
