I think "Angel Falls" is a good deal easier to pronounce that "Kerepakupai" but sure, why not.

I have no problem with it. If he feels that strongly about it, and doesn't get any fall out from his own constituency more power to him.

I'm in favor. More than likely, it will still be unofficially called "Angel Falls", probably in a similar fashion to how some of my friends refer to Mumbai as "Bombay." Keeping the indigenous ties is important, though.
