It is so funny how many "D" names we have in a group about an author named Dean :-) Dena, Daina, Diane, Dustin, Diamond, Deep - just a few recent people who have posted.
By the Light of the Moon is one of his best....in my opinion....Chad....I agree with you the Deans new style is not as enjoyable as his past books....I hang in hoping and waiting for his "State of Grace" period to resolve itself.Welcome to all the new readers!!!! Dustin I won't be reading the Odd books again anytime soon but as always I will pass by here and enjoy watching you guys have fun reading them!!!
I'm reading a James Rollins book right now, when I have time.....my daughter had a baby 6 weeks ago and she is my 1st and probably my only grandchild!! Fun times

im re-reading the series and ashley bell at present--enjoying it just as much as before---so glad i found the group
I've been a member of the group for awhile, but thought I'd just now make my first post. :) I'm Chris and have only read a few of DK's books, but I've loved the ones I've read. Would like to jump in on the group read!
Hey all, I'm Robert, big Koontz-fan from The Netherlands (and yes I mostly read them in Dutch, even though the translations are pretty crap sometimes). I've read over 40 books by Koontz and have Intensity and False Memory as favorites, plus loving the Chris Snow ones a lot (can't wait for part 3). Not a fan of Odd Thomas though and never read the Frankenstein books (yet). Currently reading 77 Shadow Street and enjoying it. Don't know which one will be next ;-)

Hey everyone! I'm a fairly new Koontz reader but I've gathered quite a collection of his books and I hope to work my way through some of them this year. I most recently read Watchers and loved it. :)

Thanks for the welcome! I thought the same thing when I saw the new book released. I haven't picked it up yet. I picked up just about all of my books used from either Savers and Salvation Army and sometimes I get lucky and find newer releases there.

I have found newer books at the thrift shop before too :-) I am also a frequent patron at the public library.
Looks like I will finally be starting Ashley Bell next week. I am currently reading Forever Odd - it's a short one.

I've been lucky enough to find almost all of the books on my wish list at the thrift store. I've managed to collect an entire series(s) that way. :) I just finished Houses Without Doors (just before typing this) and I actually have a queue set up for myself to keep myself on track for the year. I may slip in a few changes here and there based on my mood. The Odd books are on my to-read list and I think I'm only missing St. Odd at this point. I'm on the hunt....lol

Mine will probably last me longer than that actually. I'm not even sure how many books are on/in it because I was putting titles from my shelf on the list one by one until the list got too crazy and then I spent an embarrassing amount of time putting them in an order that only makes sense to me.Let me know if you have some sort of program/app/solution that works for a queue like that. I'm not very tech savvy and every time I update it, I just update it in the email that I sent to myself and re-email it. haha

About a month is all I do. You can use your goodreads To Read Shelf to number books in the order you plan to read them. I haven't done that much in the past, but it might be useful in your case Ashley :-)
Thanks, I'll have to play around with my to-read shelf a bit more on here. It would be much more efficient if I could manage it through the app instead. Good tips!

I use the "position" numbering for books on my pcpl-checked-out shelf. This is my shelf for library books and the ability to position them helps me to know which I should read STAT because they're due back soon. ;-) For my monthly plans, in another of my groups I have a discussion topic in which I organize the books I want to read in the given month. If you're interested, here's my January plan: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/....
That's what the problem is with my shelves !!! I'm trying to use the app on my phone to arrange them!!! Great.....I don't get on my laptop much anymore.....I will have to so I can straighten the books up and add my librarySigh. You people rock by the way!!!

I set up the first 30 books that were in my queue. It's a good start and at some point I'll add the rest. :)

Welcome to Koontzland Jessica! I was also impressed with Ashley Bell - my favorite Koontz novel in recent years.
I had to force myself to read it slowly. For years I have zoomed thru his books and then would be sad it was done!!!
Hi Everyone! I've been reading Dean Koontz for years and I am new to GR. So awesome to find a group for my favorite author. Also if you have some GR tips, send them this way. Sometimes I feel a little lost on here.
