I started Kindred
for my book group and The Twelve Dogs of Christmas
on audio for the holiday season. The Andy Carpenter mysteries are always enjoyable.
In the Wash: The Rona Shively Stories that I started hoping to get it done before the end of the year to round up my total for 2017 to an even 130 and
The Grave's a Fine and Private Place
Started Beartown
on audio and The Women in the Castle
. Got the latter in some giveaway - I got a lot of giveaways in 2017.
The Rules Do Not Apply and then
No One Cares About Crazy People: The Chaos and Heartbreak of Mental Health in America
Listened to
Public Library and Other Stories tonight. Then moved on to
One Nation After Trump: A Guide for the Perplexed, the Disillusioned, the Desperate, and the Not-Yet Deported
Started We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy
and also got The Immortalists
. I had a free, limited time preview of this one and didn't finish it before it expired so had to wait and just got it from the library so I can finish the last third of the book.
Finished The Women in the Castle
. This was pretty good, but I'm kind of done with WWII women's novels for a while.
Started listening to The Afterlives
And reading
The Importance of Being Earnest for my book group on Monday.
Little Fires Everywhere
on audio. I somehow managed to select part 3 instead of part I when I started this. It seemed a little confusing, but it took me 45 minutes of listening to figure it out. Oh boy! I restarted from part 1 this time!
Who Thought This Was a Good Idea?: And Other Questions You Should Have Answers to When You Work in the White House
. Yes, it’s about politics, but more about being a female leader - and very funny.

The Immortalists"Let us know what you think. I read it and wasn't thrilled but I seem to be in the minority.
Just started Stray City
on Kindle and Born to Run
on audio. I've never been a huge Springsteen fan, but the book has gotten great reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. He is a good writer, and he also reads the audio version which makes it kind of fun.
I was struggling with the New Jim Crow - just not in the mood for depressing non-fiction I guess, so I started Stay with Me
last night and was drawn right in.
Excited to be starting
Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk. I will be attending a book signing/luncheon with Kathleen Rooney here in SC on Friday. Also, since it is National Poetry Month enjoyed
Robinson Alone written by her about a little known poet of last century named Weldon Kees.
Listening to The Hate U Give
and reading hardcover of Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI
