Brian I had been reading a book in middle school (1986-1989), but stopped reading it and lost it possibly not in that order.
What I remember: Purple cover and foil green lettering, flames. I think it had something to do with a sword and an emerald. The word "beryl" was used several times.
In my search I have only been able to find a book called The Crystal Sword by Adrienne Martine-Barnes. However none of the websites have a description of what the book is about. So I was hoping someone might know of it or be able to tell me about.
Thanks.

LaTrica | 12 comments There's a goodreads group that helps find books. It's called What's the Name of that book (or something like it). They may be able to recognize it.

Carolyn (seeford) Fantastic Fiction has a good image of the cover of the Crystal Sword here: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/m/a..., but no green foil. No description either, but there is a one sentence-blurb on the cover "He journeyed between two worlds on a perilous mission to rescue the future."

I'd try the group LaTrica mentioned, they're very good at helping. = )

Bill (reedye) | 60 comments There is a copy on eBay that says:

"With the forces of Darkness once again challenging the powers of Light, Dylan, Son of Magic, must rescue his people, but is lured into the underworld by a haunting beauty."

I use fantastic fiction a lot, nice to see others use it.

Brian Thanks everyone. I tried fantastic fiction before I posted. I use that site quite frequently as well. I will try the other goodreads group who search for books. Again thank you all for your help in looking for a book that I am beginning to think does not exist.
