I didn't like the movie mainly because of your first two points: Annabeth is supposed to be the kid of the (insert preferred exclamation here) goddess of wisdom. She wasn't that wise in the movie... and yeah, Percy was way too old... and how Logan only managed/remembered to pull a Brooklyn accent 1/3 of the time? *Shudder*
There was too much wrong in the movie... I mean, if Logan was younger, he would look like Percy, but now he could only play him in The Last Olympian and Heroes of Olympus series.None of the characters really had the personality they had in the book. They were all way too serious.
I really hated that they made Chiron a brown horse. I mean, that is something totally simple. They could've made him a white horse like he was in the book!
Their age of course totally upset me.
I think they shouldn't be allowed to make books into movies. They just wreck everything about them.

You know what really bothered me about the movie? First of all, Grover is hilarious in the book because of his "I worry to much" personality. Thats what I love about him. HE IS NOT SOME 17 YEAR OLD OUTGOING PARTY LOVING BREAK DANCING GOAT BOY!! Like COME ON movie makers. Get it right. Now, my book hating brothers won't accept the fact that Grover is not some crazy wacko satyr. They won't even bother to read the books. They right away think the movie is better than the book. THEY HAVEN'T EVEN READ THE BOOKS. HOW CAN THEY INSTANTLY JUDGE LIKE THAT?

The problem I had with the cast (not gonna even start on the story) was Logan Lerman, because his acting sucked in this movie. That was one of the many downsides to the movie. I was able to get over Grover being black, because Brandon T. Jackson did a good job at being funny and goofy like Grover. And I didn't mind the girl being brown, because she was still awesome.
But, that's not to say I'm disappointed. I'm very disappointed in how the movie as a whole turned out. The age thing is what I dislike the most.

I feel your pain. I also have a brother who saw the movie and wont bother to read the book.

Like it more than u do, I never felt like strangling some one so much. The books god there just amazing
i watched the movie before i read any of the books and it was actually good. after i read the entire series it totally changed my entire view of the movie. if they kept to the book this couldve(im gonna get so much hate for this)been the next harry potter.

and what disappointed me was how they sorta changed the story so i dont get how they're gonna make 'the sea of monsters' movie.
also the age thing was a complete bummer...i mean are they supposed to be 30 in the Heroes of Olympus?
Columbus should've done what Harry Potter did, have the cast grow up with the movies. Like they did in the books. I hated the whole 'almost kiss' moment in the end, they're supposed to be freaking 12!! They should've grown up together at Camp Halfblood and known each other better before they kissed. Also, the character traits bothered me. So much. Did the director actually read the book, or did he have a monkey with a typewriter summarize it for him?

The accent that he used 1/4 of the time annoyed me most... why couldn't he just have dropped it instead of remembering to sound all gansta once in a while?

It's just sad. This is Eragon all over again.
Katrin... Breathe.....Yeah, the movie was really fail. It gave possible future movies nothing to start from, as one of the main characters in the next movie's plot is COMPLETELY MISSING. They should've done what they did after Eragon: Make a fail movie, done. It's fail. Don't make audiences suffer through an even worse sequel.
Sadly, Columbus isn't smart.
If people hate your movie, common sense tells you not to make a sequel. But Common sense is Columbus's worst enemy.

Me too! Hades in my mind was really solemn, just on the brink of a rage, but not insanely so. This movie just did more harm than good.
Probably the thing that annoyed me most was when they were up in the underworld and Grover was the one who stayed behind!. I don't know why, I guess i just liked the original reunion he had with his mother. I'm not saying that the other changes didn't annoy me, cause trust me they did, but this one killed me. I knife through the heart and a bullet to the head.
This movie was the CARPIEST MOVIE ON A GOOD SERIES I HAVE EVER SEEN
