Right there with you Jen about being sick. UGH! I am on day 3 of this crap. I haven't hardly done anything but sleep for the last three days. So I sadly can't say that I've finished a book already.
But holy cow! Some of you ladies have really started this challenge with extra gusto! Way to go all!! I love it!

I liked it. There are a lot of interesting parts but there are some boring parts to. I liked hearing all the dirt on the presidents and their families.

Ugh, I feel so behind. I've barely gotten into the mountain load of all the books I'm trying to read right now. And on top of that, I've started two knitting projects (probably soon to start a third) and I want to start a crochet project too! To be totally honest about that though - I've already got three others...wait, make that four, already started (crochet projects). OH! And I've got a T-shirt quilt started too!
BIG SIGH! Not enough hours in the day! Damn job keeps getting in the way of what I really want to do.
Ok, so I'm going to toot my own horn, I'm really proud of myself with the knitting. I just started and have only finished one project - a purse for my mom - so far and I am really proud of it. It was a Christmas gift that took me right down to the wire so I didn't get to take a picture of it like I wanted. But right now I'm in the middle of my second project, making a pair of mittens. I've finished the first one (and I think I may have impressed myself!) and am in the beginnings of the second one so I am, quite literally, in the middle. hee hee
So then my other project that I just started today is going to be a pair of "arm warmers," or I should say three pairs. One for each of my two older nieces and one for my brother's girlfriend's daughter. (Did I lose you on that? LOL!) They went nuts over the purse I made for my mom and I was shocked that a bunch of pre-teens would think that something home-made and knitted nonetheless would be cool. So I decided to do the "arm warmers." I've seen the kids wearing them nowadays (I feel so old now having just said that.) and thought the girls would like them.
And my other project that I'm probably going to be starting soon is a pair of socks. I've been telling my fiance's mom that I want to knit a pair of socks. So for my bday, she bought me some pretty dark pink & purple varigated sock yarn and told me she would probably have time to teach me after the first of the year. Yea!
Now, as I said, how am I going to find the time to do all of this?

Put an s into carrots <> and the beginning of the thing you want to underline and then at the end of the line do the same thing but it is /s instead of just the plain s in the carrots (I would type it out correctly but it would just put a line through what I wrote). I had to ask for the last challenge too! I hope that made sense!

10.10 PAMPER YOURSELF Godmother: The Secret Cinderella Story by Carolyn Turgeon (01.05.10)
I read the bulk of this one while curled up in bed. Even though I was sick, I considered it pampering myself because I was taking care of ME and not everyone else! I don't get to do that very often!
+5 Bonus points b/c Carolyn Turgeon is a GR author

I don't want to give anything away, so I can't say too much, but I liked it. It definitely is NOT the kind of book I was expecting when I started it, though. But it's a quick read once you get into it.

10.10. Pamper Yourself - Last night I took a nice LONG bubble bath complete with wine and candles (I came home from work very late after a very stressful week and needed to RELAX). I also shut my phone off and slept so well last night! I read Harry Potter while in the bath (and subsequently got water on a few pages...yikes!)

Sorry Kourt, the rules say that each book can count for only one task. Did you want to use the Harry Potter book for the pampering task?

Hmm...I'd have to say just one task per book. I hadn't intended for that one to be combined with another task -- I just meant that you didn't have to read the entire book while doing a "pampering" activity like a bubble bath. If you sat in the bath long enough to read an entire book, you'd be a shrivled prune by the time you got out! And most pedicures, etc. don't last long enough for you to be able to read a whole book. The idea of that task was just to relax a little and read a book while you do. Does that make sense?

I like them. They are an easy, fun read. I think I was a little disappointed though. I was expecting something a little different. I can't explain it. But I did find them really funny. The titles are hilarious.

Definitely Such A Pretty Fat. I laughed so hard I almost fell out of bed at one point. Pretty in Plaid was fun, but I actually think the Epilogue was the highlight of the book. (If you ever read these on a Kindle they are a little different because you have to go back and forth to read the foot notes) I believe she has a new one coming out this year... can't wait!
