Cassie lowered her voice so only Jersey would hear. "Go shapeshift something into earplugs." Cassie had a tear run down her cheek. "Double digits mommy.." She said to Sasha. "Great." Sasha spat. "Am I supposed to pinch your cheeks now? Oh, they'll get wet. WiMP" Her words stung more than a few years ago when she was abused by Sasha.

Looking at the sky, Carson felt something he'd never felt before, confusion. He was always so sure of himself, cocky, arrogance maybe? But now, he felt strange and flustered. What was he suppose to do with Sam? He would love to be more than friends, yet he didn't think he could. "We need new clothes," he finally said.

Jersey nodded and rolled inside an open store's doorway. She ducked behind the wall and clamped her ears shut.

Cassie screamed and Sasha fell to the ground, her ears bleeding. Sasha shot Cassie's foot and Cassie fell to the ground and yelled for Jersey. Sasha came up to Cassie and kicked her as Cassie groaned.

Jersey heard the screaming stop. She took a deep breath and looked out. Seeinng Sasha kick Cassie, she shifted herself to look like a police man. She came out, mustache, uniform, gun and all, and ran over to them. "You can't abuse children!" He/she said lifting Cassie up.

Sasha was stunned and said. "Who me? I would never harm my daughter. I love her." She turned to Cassie. "Oh, sweetie, you hurt your foot let me fix it." Sasha put her hand on Cassie's foot and inflicted pain on it. Cassie held back her scream and kicked Sasha in the face.

Jersey knew Cassie wouldn't kick this lady for no reason. She took out the 'gun' and pointed it at Sasha. "Don't touch her or I'll put you under arrest for Child Abuse."

"She already did! She shot my foot and she has the gun! I don't want her to hurt me anymore..." Cassie faked her being sad instead of angry. Sasha started to run.

Jersey smiled. She took Cassie to the store and shifted back. "Great job."

"You too! I didn't know you could shift your whole body!!" Cassie hugged Jersey and smiled as she saw her mascara had gone down her face because of her tears. "Let's go find someone. It's up to you. Opal? Sam?"

"I think Opal ditched us... and Sam and Carson have gone to get clothes. I think we should stay here or go back to the hotel, hoping to catch site of one of them." Jersey said. She didn't know she could shift her whole body, either, but she wasn't about to admit it.

"Let's go to a hospital or something, where my foot can be healed." Cassie didn't want to admit her foot hurt, but the pain was too bad.

Jersey nodded. She stood up and got an ice pack from the freezer area, gave it to Cassie, the turned into a guy and carried her. "It looks more... normal than a girl carrying a girl." She explained as she took her down the street.

"No clue." Jersey said. She walked her into the hostpital, setting her down in a chair in the waiting area. She talked to the clerk, then took a seat next to Cassie.

"Just you sprained your ankle. I'll be right back." She went to the boy/girl bathroom and changed back, then came out, hoping no one had seen her go in. She sat back down. "Yeah. She said you'll be called in."

A person called Cassie's name and Jersey wrapped Cassie's arm around her shoulder. She took her to the door where a nurse led them to an examination room.
"What happened?" She asked as she took out a clipboard and pencil.
"We were racing eachother and she tripped. I think she sprained her ankle."

"I'm still faster than you." Cassie cracked to Jersey and laughed a little.

Jersey rolled her eyes.
The nurse nodded. "A doctor will be in to check shortly."
"Um... can I leave her here? I need to go tell our friends that she's okay. We were supposed to meet them an-"
"Okay, but be quick."
Jersey nodded to Cassie. "Sam and Carson have the right to know." She smiled. "Be right back." She ran out the doors and down the street. "Sam! Carson!!"

"Okaaaaaay..." Cassie looked around the room for anything suspicious.

Sam looked in the direction of her name being called. Jersey was bounding over to them. "What!?" She yelled. She really didn't want to be bugged by little kids. Especially when she was so vaulnerable from Carson's charmingness((it's a word!)).
