decent book i would say..bt the ending isnt so good. throught john grisham has narrated very well but coming to the end he has rushed and finished the entire suspense n thrill with in 3-4 chapters..i wish he comes with another sequel to it bt more promising one..

It cans end with anything: new life with happy ending or die finally. Depend on us which is very exciting to me. I kind of like it.

The one thing that kind of puzzled me -- and maybe I'm just missing something -- is that this video had Kyle so worried that he was willing to do what Bennie wanted. However, when Bennie gets away at the end, suddenly the idea that the video would be leaked is not a concern. Why? Three of the four fraternity brothers are alive to face charges. So why isn't he scared the video will be leaked? It's just dismissed as potentially embarrassing. That kind of hurt the ending IMO.

The video leaked was not a concern because Kyle's father had struck a deal with that woman's lawyer (forgot the name of the lady) to drop all the charges and offered them money.

Right, but the video still could have been leaked by Bennie. Kyle was never incriminated in the video, but was embarrassed by it. If Kyle no longer cared about that, it would have been nice to have that shift in thought process addressed in a sentence or two. Even without a trial, being in a video like that, especially with the long life of the Internet, is not something most people would want.

My other complaint is that it took a lot for me to put aside the fact that I thought Kyle was kind of a wussy idiot for being so worried about the video in which he is definitely not implicated in the possible rape. If his original intent was to go into public service law, the embarrassment of such a video would not have hurt him that badly. Legal Aid is happy to get qualified lawyers, and with Kyle's other qualifications, I would think that they'd be reasonably OK with an embarrassed qualified lawyer. Just sayin'.
