and I am really enjoying the second book (The Weed That Strings the Hangman's Bag)! I've had to put it aside so I can do work read for sales conference, but I can't wait to get back to it!
(it doesn't hurt that, in the acknowledgements, the author thanks Ann and me for the attention the book got on Books on the Nightstand!!!)

this is the book for our book discussion tonight. I called one of the members, who is 95, to see if I was to give her a ride. She explained that she could not get past the beginning of the book. I gushed enough on the phone that she said that she would try it again. I have been so eager for the book discussion tonight. What do YOU think the "P" stood for in the Inspector's book (the notation that represented Flavia)?

I hope Bradley will be able to complete the series. I have two of my co-workers reading it now. Just to let you know, your recommendations reach us and then they spread like pollen.
And for the record, I can't think of "Careful Feely! Acid" without giggling.
From what I hear, Alan Bradley is writing well ahead of the publications and I think he' already written the 3rd and maybe the 4th!
I still wonder about the "P" in the Inspector's notes. I hope we'll find out in one of the books!
I still haven't listened to the first one. I really should!!

I've been accumulating guesses on the "P". My one friend thought precocious. I thought of poison or pest. The book discussion last night came up with prodigy, persistant. We kept stumbling into possible "P's"
