If Only characters had a voice!
If only April and Gabriel could actually meet Damius and Erever! technically, they haven't really met everyone yet. I'm sure Damius and Erever could be like my characters and walk in on the middle of something =P
If only Erever could have heard that comment.
"My, there is a lot of noise in here", Erever growls. "My apologies, but I do not know what events have taken place here recently; therefore I will start anew. For those of you whom I have not yet met, I am Erever. Do not be appalled by my appearance, but I understand if you wish to cast your eyes away."

If only I could find something more interesting for my characters to do.
April was sitting where Gabriel had told her, but it had been a good 10 minutes since she last saw him and was beginning to worry for for boyfriend. She gets up and quietly walks back to the scene of the fight, praying that Gabriel wasn't hurt, or worse...
She stopped thinking about what could have happened. She couldn't imagine what a life without Gabriel would be like.
While she was lost in her thoughts, she walked right into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there," she muttered ((to Erever)) without really seeing who (or what) it was she was talking to. She was still to preoccupied by Gabriels fate and the fact that she had just met creatures that were only supposed to be in stories.
Meanwhile, Gabriel was still trying to tend to Kacia. However he didn't think it was the wisest idea to try to give her his blood. So he moved to Machiko and Caius and wrapped their wounds with cloth that he ripped from his white shirt. Sadly, he would have to trust Kacia's fate to the others.

If only it wasn't finals week.
Hearing Erever, Cristina looks up and hides her reaction with difficulty. Burning with curiosity and sympathy she takes care to hide, she stands and walks over to him, bowing since she's not in a skirt at that moment.
"Well met, Erever. I am Cristina Haeydon. We've had a run-in with more vampires than is wise, which explains all the noise."
Talamar gets the gist of Machiko and Kacia's discussion and uses his rapier to slice part of his palm open, dribbling the blood into Kacia's mouth.

Kacia can feel the blood coursing through her body revitalizing her system. It also chases away the last of the ice within her. She moans and blinks her eyes open. Surprised to see the person she would never have expected leaning over her.
"Talamar...?" she whispers, "Wha...?"
On the other side of the room Gaston groans and struggles to get up but the arrow's effect hasn't completely worn off.
"Blasted Elf!" he curses, "I'll get you for this!"
Machiko and Caius stir.
If only I didn't have a bazillion too! AP stands for Advanced Procrastinators!
Svartr already has an arrow nocked in his bow. "Perhaps one day you will. But now I suggest you leave."
Talamar grins at Kacia. "I've got plenty of blood."

Talamar grins at Kacia. "I've got plenty of blood."

Gaston gets up dragging the arrow from his chest and flinging it on the ground.
"I will!" he cries, "And mark my words," he says pointing to Kacia, "She will die!"
Kacia shivers still not strong enough to move.
Machiko and Caius open their eyes.
If only...If you wait 'til the last minute, it only takes a minute. :D
Talamar gazes at Gaston, expressionless. "If she dies, then you will have the prince of the moroi to fear. And you don't want that."
Talamar gazes at Gaston, expressionless. "If she dies, then you will have the prince of the moroi to fear. And you don't want that."

Gaston smiles wickedly,
"If I didn't know any better I'd think you had fallen in love with the girl."
He bows, "Well for now you are welcome to her. But I do not fear you Moroi Prince. You are not pureblood. There is nothing you can do to me!"
With that he turns and vanishes in burst of icy wind.
Kacia shivers again.
Caius glares after Gaston.
"Don't come back!" he shouts.
Machiko shivers from the cold and moves closer to Caius.
If only it was a foolproof solution...
Talamar looks at where he was in disgust. "Everyone seems to think that," he mutters ambiguously.
He turns to Kacia. "Are you all right?" Internally he's rolling his eyes at such a dumb question, but it's human culture...but Kacia isn't human...
Svartr lowers his bow.

Svartr lowers his bow.

Kacia blinks trying to sit up, but she's still too weak.
"I think so" she murmurs, "The cold is gone at least."
Cius helps Machiko sit up making sure that she is all right too.
"Bloody vampire." he growled at the chill still in the air, "He'll have me to answer to for this as well."
If only. I am too :D
Talamar smirks. "Isn't there a paradox in there somewhere?"
Svartr hides a smile. Talamar is back to normal.

Svartr hides a smile. Talamar is back to normal.

Though she's still weak Kacia can't help but laugh.
Machiko laughs to.
Caius smirks.
If only Heather was supposed to be doing work so she could go to twin dragon in 20 min -.-
Gabriel was relieved to see that everyone was okay and that Gaston had left. Once everything was settled, he remembered he was supposed to go back to April.
Meanwhile, April was making her way back to the gathering when she bumped right into Gabriel.
"I though I told you not to leave until I came back for you," muttered Gabriel angrily.
"Sor..." was all she could manage when she saw that he was standing in front of her shirtless and perfect. "Wha-what h-happened to y-your shirt?" she stuttered.
"Oh," he responded off guard. "I used it to bandage Caius and Machiko's wounds."
"Oh," was all she could reply.
"Well, we better get back to the others. We still need to find out how to get back home."
Everything flooded back to her memory and she cringed at the discovery of the creatures. "I guess so," she responded reluctantly.
April and Gabriel rejoined the group.

Caius looks up to see April and Gabriel
"Yo Gabe!" he calls, "Thanks for patching me and Machiko up!"
Machiko smiles in appreciation.
Kacia is still trying to recover fully.
If only I still didn't have all my Christmas shopping to do!!! Yikes!
Gabriel cringes slightly at the nickname that only his family ever called him. He was still not used to it though he had been called that most of his life. However, not wanting to upset his new acquaintance, Gabriel nods his head towards Caius. "No problem," he smiles politely.
All the while, April has been clinging to Gabriel's side trying to hide from the others. The only one she could trust to be human was Gabriel.
Gabriel turned to the others. "Now, back to where we were before all this mess. Can anybody tell us how to get back to France?"

If only I had more time to get/make gifts...
Cristina notices Aprils discomfort and walks closer, hoping her human-ness will help. She remembers how hard it was for her to adjust, and she had already been living in a magical realm.
"We were trying to get to the mortal realm as well," she says. "France is as good a place as any, right, Svartr?"
Svartr nods. "We had no particular destination in mind. Only..." He scrutinizes Gabriel and April, frowning a little. "We were aiming for a particular time. Might I ask what the year is where you come from?"
Cristina's eyes widen. She hadn't even thought of that kind of complication, but looking at her tunic and breeches, cloak and boots and comparing them to the other two humans' clothing, she starts to worry. "Oh, no."
Talamar looks up at this new development. Kacia, Machiko and Caius' appearances worry him as well. He turns to Kacia, taking her hand in an effort to help her recover more quickly. "What time are you from?" he murmurs.

"Uh" Kacia stammers recovering a little more. She frowns, "What time are we from Machiko?"
Caius groans, "You live in it and you don't even know what time period we're in?!"
Machiko turns to him, "Actually I don't either."
Caius falls to the ground in shock.
"Morons! I'm surrounded by complete morons!"
He turns to Talamar, "We're from the year 2010, although time really has no meaning at the academy. We're in our own little world. Though our time runs on the same time as the rest of the world, no one really pays attention to it."
If only I even knew half of what to get!!
April attempts to smile warmly at Cristina but is a bit confused about why she would need to know the time period. She thought time should be the same for everyone and that time travel was impossible.
It was Gabriel that answered Cristina as though she was asking the time of day. "We are actually in the summer of 2011 right now. April just came to Paris to stay with me for her summer break from her high school in Lake Tahoe, California." He looks down at his girlfriend with a tender smile on his face hoping to make her feel more comfortable.
It worked. April looked up into his radiant face. As she did so, a warm feeling coursed through her body and she knew everything was going to be alright.
"So what time period are you trying to get to?" April asked Cristina with her new-found calmness.

If only! Everything went by so fast this year!
Cristina bit her lip, her eyes widening as she listened to the dates. She didn't trust herself to answer.
Svartr answered for her, walking closer to Cristina in an effort to calm her. Humans could be extremely excitable. "We were trying to get to 1607 - around there, anyway. It looks like we have arrived at a new problem."
Talamar stands, trying to hide his worry. He offers a hand to Kacia automatically. "Well, I suggest we try to find where we entered. Then we can determine where we are going."

Kacia takes his hand and stands up she wobbles a bit and leans on him to steady herself. Feeling her heart start pounding faster she decides to calm herself by speaking,
"So you're from the past?"
Caius helps Machiko stand but she's still shaky and can't quite stand properly. He groans and leans down,
"Get on." he comands pointing to his back.
Machiko blushes but climbs onto his back and wraps her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck.
He stands up and looks around at the others.
"Well shall we try to find the exit now? Once we find the exit we can decide what to do next."
If only I could say: WHAT??? Then why am I taking you Christmas shopping for our friends today? O.o
April and Gabriel turn to Caius. "That sounds good," they say in unison.
April blushes slightly as Gabriel continues.
"Well, that sounds like a good idea and all, but I'm afraid I don't quite remember which direction we came from. And I don't know exactly where we happened to cross over. After all, we kinda got mixed up after that fight. We're not where we first were," he comments as he takes in his surroundings.

If only I didn't have so many friends and family (jk!)(And merry Christmas, btw)
"No," Talamar says in response to Kacia's question, hoping the increased heartbeat he hears is due to her still recovering, and not to the way she is leaning on him. He grins, knowing he shouldn't be enjoying it. He has no intention of starting anything between them. "You're from the future."
"On the pegasus I saw something strange over that way," Cristina volunteers, pointing.
"It's as good a place to start as any," Svartr says, giving Cristina a leg up onto Sadalbari. Cristina frowns at this reminder of how short she is, but brightens a bit when she remembers that Talamar is about the same size, and he's over a century older than her.

Kacia's heart calms a bit and she glares at him.
"I'm from my own time and your time is earlier than that. Hence you're from the past."
Caius turns to Cristina.
"How far away is it?"
Though Machiko seems to be recovering he'd still like to get her looked at by a doctor soon. And Kacia too, though he doesn't want to admit to himself that he's worried about her too.
Machiko sighs and leans her head angaist Caius's.
If only I could ask how was your Christmas?
Talamar keeps grinning. "I imagine this conversation could go on, but it might get trying. Shall we just say I have more refined, traditional tastes, and leave it at that?"
Cristina frowns, trying to remember. "Not too far. Not more than half an hour on foot."
"For a human," Svartr interposes.
Cristina shrugs, smiling a little. "I'll have to give you that."
"Sadalbari can carry two more," says Svartr. "If Kacia and Machiko wish to ride, they can." He too is concerned about their slow recovery.

Caius grinns.
"I can manage her, but thanks Svartr."
Kacia nodds too, trying to act brave.
"I can walk on my own..."
She trips over her shaky legs and crashes into Talamar again.
If only I could say awesome. Mine was too.
Holding back a laugh, Talamar raises an eyebrow at her. "Are you afraid of pegasii?"
Holding back a laugh, Talamar raises an eyebrow at her. "Are you afraid of pegasii?"

Kacia shakes her head.
"N...no of course not!" she gazes down at her feet sheepishly, "I don't like flying in general."
If only I could say I got a game called 'Shadows Over Camelot' which is amazing and we played it for five hours! (and blatantly cheated) And I got some awesome books.
Cristina says, hoping to reassure her "We won't be flying. We'll need to stay with the group."
"Too right," Talamar mutters. "Both of them get into far too much trouble."
Cristina says, hoping to reassure her "We won't be flying. We'll need to stay with the group."

Kacia looks at Cristina suspiciously.
"You promise not to fly?"
"Oh just get on the pegasis Kacia!" Caius growls. Machiko has gone unconcious again and he's really starting to worry.
If only books weren't so expensive. :D
Cristina looks at her as if she were crazy. "Of course."
"Of the many flaws Cristina has," Talamar drawls. "Lying is not one of them. Or," he amended. "Lying convincingly."
Cristina glares. "I convinced the elves I wasn't from Ileshric."
"We convinced ourselves of that," Svartr says. "It was too unlikely, since it was so obvious you were human."
Cristina subsides into mutters that aren't flattering to elfkind in general. Svartr ignores her.
Instead he asks Caius "Do you know what Machiko is in need of?"

"She needs something to make the cold go away. And unfortunately the only thing that can in her case is sorcery. And very powerful sorcery at that." Caius says.
If only!
Sadalbari shies a little at this new passenger with a strange scent, but a word from Svartr calms him. Cristina smiles at Kacia, and then moves the pegasus into a slow walk that the rest of the group can keep up with.
Svartr notices Talamar has his needle thin rapier out. "Expecting trouble?" he asks.
"When is there not trouble?"
The elf gives a small smile. "True," he concedes.

Caius follows beside them careful not to jostle Machiko too much.
Kacia is still nervous about being on Sadalbari's back.
If only I didn't have to go...
"Have you ever ridden a horse," Cristina asks Kacia, trying to put her a little more at ease.
"Have you ever ridden a horse," Cristina asks Kacia, trying to put her a little more at ease.
if only something would happen....
"There," Cristina said suddenly a while later. She pointed at a tree.
Talamar squinted at it. "It looks...strange."
Svartr nodded in silent agreement.

Talamar squinted at it. "It looks...strange."
Svartr nodded in silent agreement.

Caius looked at the tree and whistles.
"That certainly is something."
Kacia stared at it in awe forgetting her nervousness.
If only Cristina didn't constantly do things that completely throw Talamar and Svartr off guard. Making a sudden decision, Cristina dismounted and vanished through the anomaly in the tree before they could do more than blink. Which is saying something, because they both have superhuman reflexes.
Talamar grabbed Svartr before he disappeared after her. Svartr looked at him, outraged beyond words.
"Wait," Talamar said. "You don't know what it does. It's obviously not natural, or you would have sensed its purpose by now."
Svartr jerked out of his hold, somehow managing to do it with all of his natural grace. "I know she went in," he said coldly, and followed.
Talamar rolled his eyes, but his rapier was out and ready. He turned to the others and executed an ironic bow. "Maybe you'll have more sense," he said, and then disappeared.

Kacia dismounted.
"Don't count on it" she laughed following him into the tree.
Caius shook his head and followed not wanting to be left behind.
If only I knew where they went.
"Cristina?" Svartr whispered. The air was thick with fog, choking off any chance to find her by sight. And somehow he couldn't connect to the earth beneath him.
Talamar appeared next to him. "Of course she would wander off without waiting for us," he said in disgust.
"Or something took her," Svartr said grimly. "Can you see anything in this fog? It's as unnatural as the portal. Even the ground beneath us."
Talamar shook his head. "I can see more than Cristina can, of course, but not by much. Not even in the soul realm. This fog covers both."
"I realize that," Svartr said impatiently. He could see the world of souls just as well as Talamar could. "We need to figure out what to do."
"Wait until everyone else comes," smirked the vampire. "Shouldn't be too long."

Kacia came though the barrier on her still shaky legs and crashed into Talamar.
"Aaaaaa!"
Caius landed on his feet next to Svartr and immediately checked to make sure Machiko was all right.
Machiko was still unconcious.
If only Svartr wasn't in a really bad mood.
Talamar gracefully righted Kacia. "We're all mad here," he reported.
Svartr didn't reply. He was debating whether he should just go on ahead himself, as he was sure to go faster than all of them together would. But he was worried about Machiko, and could not quite bring himself to abandon all of them in favor of Cristina.
"We need to hurry," Talamar informed the newcomers, picking up on Svartr's sober mood. "Cristina's gone on ahead, and all of this," he waved a hand at their surroundings, "all of this just isn't natural. So that means someone very powerful lives here."

Caius nodded growling.
"Something is not right I can smell it." he took a deep breath, "I smell magic. Demon magic"
Kacia shivered.
"I don't like demons. The sooner we get out of here the better"
If only Svartr wasn't such an elf. Then he wouldn't be bothered by the others acting so human. Especially that reckless, brash, childish--
"You look worried," Talamar commented quietly. "Which is saying something. You go on ahead and look for her. We'll follow."
He forced back the surge of gratitude and hope this gave him, shaking his head. "No. Separating does us no good."
"And traveling at this pace isn't worse?" the vampire retorted. "Go. I think we can handle a demon."
"Your arrogance astounds me," Svartr said. "I had thought you were different than the rest of your kind. I cannot leave you without protection - the strength of the magic around us is proof enough of that. If you truly wish to help, you will take everyone back through before whatever resides here makes that impossible. It is easier to slip through unnoticed with only two people."

"Oh come on I may not like demons but I can face one just fine"
Caius growled.
"I could too if I wasn't worried about Machiko"
Machiko blinked her eyes open.
"What's wrong?"
If only I wasn't such an impulsive idiot, Cristina thought savagely. The savagery made it easier to ignore the fact that she was shaking with cold and fear. The mist had already dampened her hair. She pulled her cloak tighter.
There had been a light hovering only a few feet in front of her when she had gotten to this place, and, like the impulsive idiot that she was, she had followed it. And now she had no choice but to follow it, for it had become pitch black around her, and she didn't fancy staying in one spot in this place.
And she hadn't thought the witchlight would harm her. She could make a witchlight herself, ever since Talamar bit her. It was merely a little piece of glowing soul, shifting colors with her emotions. But she had tried to make one here, and failed. So she kept walking.
"Nothing is wrong," Svartr told her quietly. He turned to Caius, saying "Surely you have more sense. I am not saying that you could not face one, only that it is foolish to do so when another option is available."
"What is that?" Talamar said suddenly. A glowing light had appeared in front of them, a few feet away. "It's not a soul light."
Kacia blinks her eyes open in confusion at first.
Was she not dead then?
She tried to glance around her but her body felt so week that she had to close her eyes again. She shuddered and tried to swallow. The burning thirst in her throat is becoming unbearable. She decides to call out to her friend with her mind.
Machiko?
Machiko smiles appreciatively at Cristina then stops as she hears Kacia's voice in her head.
Kacia? Are you all right? What is it?
So thirsty Kacia's voice groans, I need. her thoughts falter, Blood they cry in pain and sadness.
Machiko nodds in understanding,
You can have some of mine
Machiko Kacia's mind whispers, No...I can't take my first blood from you of all people... her voice begins to fade.
"I don't care!" I won't let you die, "If blood is what you need that's what I'll give to you."
She leans over Kacia, hovering her wrist just above her friends slightly parted lips. She concentrates on her magic and a slice appears in her wrist.
Caius groans and cries out in pain clutching his wrist and then his neck. He wimpers and goes still.
Machiko lets out a gasp and collapses to the floor again.
"I'm sorry Kacia." she groans as she loses conciousness again, "I tried."
