If Only characters had a voice!

Machiko glared at the newcomer.
"Who are you and what is that supposed to mean?!"
Caius groans and puts his head in his hands.
"Machiko"
If only I could say how awesome both your characters are.
Talamar bowed again, this time with extra embellishments to convey his sarcasm. "Allow me to give you my humblest gratitude, lady," he said, half hoping she wouldn't notice the underlying humor in his words.

Machiko turned her attention back to Talamar,
"Watch it vampire. My familiar is a werewolf and I'm not afraid to sick him on you."
"Machiko!" Caius exclaimed, with a tinge of hope that she would in his voice.
(If only I had seen there was another page added!!)
If only Talamar could take insults in stride.
"Familiar?" he asked, grinning maliciously. He turned to Caius. "You're her pet?"

"I'm her familiar! he growled, I'm not a pet! She summoned me and we formed a bond."
Machiko glares smugly at Talamar,
"I'm a powerful sorceress that summoned a werewolf for her familiar. Top that!"
If only I didn't have to go! sorry!
If only I could say goodbye to you! And thank you for your participation!
Damius and Erever both nod goodbye to Talamar, hoping to see him again in the future.

Machiko glares smugly at Talamar,
"I'm a powerful sorceres..."
"If only I could," Talamar answered smoothly. "But being the sole heir of the king and queen of the moroi and possibly the strongest of them seen in centuries is nothing compared to the...greatness...of you and your...familiar. I am afraid the gap of superiority between us is very wide indeed."
Talamar nods a greeting to Damius and a slightly more mechanical one to Erever, never taking his eyes off of the Canis as he does so.

"I can turn you into a bug if you don't watch your tongue!"
"Machiko, enough!" Caius shouts at her.
*pop* Machiko's ears dissapear.
"Oh I'm so sorry everyone!" she cries, "I did it again!"
She hides her face in her hands in shame.
If only Talamar knew how to apologize.
Talamar relaxes slightly, moderating his unfriendly expression into a blank one, but for the shame and discomfit in his eyes as he looks away.

"It's not your fault Machiko." he says glaring at Talamar, "That bloodsucker goaded you on."
Machiko calms down a bit and peaks through her fingers at Caius and Talamar.
If only Talamar didn't hate being a vampire.
"I am sorry if I goaded you. It was unintentional," Talamar says to Machiko, the white lie the closest to an apology he can manage. (He didn't mean to goad her at first).
Then he turns to Caius and says coldly "I'm no bloodsucker. But I wouldn't expect a split-soul to know that."
(In Talamar's world the vampires suck souls-blood, with the 'evil' ones sucking blood at the same time. Werewolves are either humans with the souls of wolves or wolves with the souls of humans. The moroi, or vampires that only suck souls-blood, detest them.)

Machiko smiles at Talamar.
Caius continues to glare at him, not believing what he's being told.
"Well however you look at it, you still Suck!" he growl laughs at his own pun.
If only Talamar didn't HATE puns.
Talamar, trying to avoid a fight for the sake of Machiko, only says "If that is the extent of your capacity to understand, so be it."
Which is still fairly mean of him.

"Watch it vampire." he growled, "My bark is most definitely not worse than my bite."
"Caius stop!" Machiko cries grabbing hold of his shoulder to keep him from lunging at Talamar. She's beginning to like the vampire. She wants to become friends.
If only we could all get along! (lol)
Talamar's hand is ready on his rapier hilt until he sees Machiko's expression. He lowers his hand to his side, slowly. He's beginning to like her as well.
His gaze flicks over to Caius and his lip curls contemptuously.
Then Svartr sees fit to join in and intercede before Talamar can make another comment.
"Allow me to make your acquaintance," he says to Machiko and Caius. "I am Svartr Faeyn."
Talamar rolls his eyes and adds "Duke Svartr Faeyn. If my title follows me, so will yours."
"If you want me to lower myself to your impulsiveness, I suppose I will oblige," Svartr rejoins. He didn't like the way Talamar handled the situation. He nods in greeting to the other two, smiling a little.

Machiko smiles at Svartr,
"Are you a vampire too?" she asks him.
Caius growls, he gets jelous when other men/boys are too friendly towards Machiko.
If only I agreed with me! Conflict makes everything more interesting.
Svartr casts an amused glance at Caius. He's not remotely interested in Machiko in that way. "Certainly not, lady. I am an elf of the Faeyn court. I would never," he adds, drawling, "have the slightest inclination of becoming a vampire. It would mean my loyalty would be to Talamar."
Talamar laughs at the idea, his good temper returning. "And I would never want someone like you as a subject, should I ever actually become king."
Svartr regards him wryly. "You'll be disowned before that ever happens."
"Indeed."

Caius relaxes. Elves are fine in his book.
Machiko stares at Svartr in awe.
(gtg ttyl maybe)
(If only I could say thanks - and diddo. Machiko and Caius are a great pair. ttfn!)
Svartr has the good breeding to ignore Machiko's staring. He lifts a hand in farewell to the pair, and Talamar grins and sketches a bow.

"Hello everyone we're back and I've brought my friend Kacia with us this time!" Machiko calls brightly.
(I need to figure out Kacia's character for my fanfic so I thoght I would play with it here!)
If only Math was more like English or art.
Talamar and Svartr are curious to see the newcomer. Svartr also wishes he could have met Damius and Erever.
"Well met," Svartr says. Both elf and vampire bow.

If only Math didn't suck so much, then maybe I'd be good at it.
Damius enters the room again. He notices, Svartr and Kacia and greets them with a hearty hello.
"Greetings, newcomers. I am Damius. Please know that you are protected here."

Kacia smiles. At everyone.
"Thank you for the warm welcomes." She turns to Machiko and motions at Talamar,
"You didn't tell me he was hot!" she whispers in her ear.
Caius looks at Kacia and rolls his eyes.
If only both Svartr and Talamar didn't have excellent hearing.
Talamar, who would have cockily agreed had the comment been directed at him, blushes and tries his best not to look like he heard. There is something in his expression that goes deeper than embarrassment.
Seeing this, Svartr leans down and murmurs "Is this a pro or a con of immortality?"
Talamar grins, then replies quietly "Jealousy is an ugly thing, Svartr. We can't all be short and dashing."
"I can just imagine you adding that to your title," Svartr says dryly "Short and dashing Prince Talamar of the moroi."
Talamar laughs out loud at that one, and, job done, Svartr turns to Damius "I wonder, if you know we are protected here, where 'here' is?"

If only Damius could laugh. He did.
"Well, Svartr, where do you think we are?"
"Well, Svartr, where do you think we are?"
If only Svartr knew where he was.
"My best guess," he says thoughtfully, taking in their surroundings, "would be in a corridor between our different worlds. But this is all theory."
"And you being such a philosopher and all," Talamar sniggers. He tells Damius "Svartr is known for his talent of doing nothing productive whatsoever."
"Do you have a better idea?" Svartr challenges.
"No," Talamar says cheerfully. "It's an excellent theory. It's merely the contrast between the quality and the source that I am laughing at."
Svartr smiles a little. "Fair enough." Then he turns back to Damius. "Do you have a better idea?"

If only Damius had a better idea.
Damius looks sad. "I have stopped creating ideas long ago. I am simply waiting for my cruel life to end now."
...If only Damius wasn't so emo.

If only I had read enough to know why :( (I'm on chapter 4)
Both Talamar and Svartr are immediately sobered by Damius' statement.
Svartr stretches out a hand but is not used to these situations and lets it fall, slowly. "Would that I could aid you in some way."
"Perhaps if we knew from what your suffering originates," Talamar says quietly. He likes Damius, and decides to attempt some kind of gesture of friendship, however inexperienced he may be. Whatever friends he makes he holds to with fierce loyalty.

Are you in some kind of trouble Damius?" Machiko asks.
Caius turns back to the others in curiosity.
Kacia can only look at Talamar and then away again. She giggles.
If only I could giggle too.
Erever steps forth and says, "Please, Damius does not wish to speak of the misfortune he has had in his short life. He has lost so much. He has lost the will to live. Yet he still struggles to remain proud and kind. The least you can do is to show him your respect and treat him with kindness in return."

Machiko bows her head in shame.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean..." she studders.
Caius jumps to her defense.
"Hey she was trying to be nice." he growls.
Kacia puts an arm around Machiko's shoulders but continues to look at Talamar.
If only Caius would calm down!
Erever and Damius both looked at him. "We know you mean well", they said. "Let us talk of other things, shall we?"
Erever and Damius both looked at him. "We know you mean well", they said. "Let us talk of other things, shall we?"

Kacia grinned,
"What do you want to talk about?" she asked turning to Erever and Damius but still looking at Talamar out of the corner of her eye.
If only I could laugh. Kacia and Damius found practically the only two things that put Talamar off guard.
Talamar is struggling to ignore Kacia's frequent glances. "I would like to disprove Svartr's theory, since I don't feel like coming up with one of my own. How about we explore?" He grins. "I'm rather useful when it comes to that, being transparent most of the time."

If only! Transparency is cool.
Erever says, "I know this place like the back of my rotten paw. There is not much left to explore. What do you wish to know?"
Erever says, "I know this place like the back of my rotten paw. There is not much left to explore. What do you wish to know?"
If only, deep down, Talamar viewed it that way. Staying in the physical world is like constantly clenching a muscle for him, and it reminds him of what he is.
Talamar, who was really only aiming for a change of subject and a distraction for Kacia, falters a bit. "Er...perhaps we should start with where exactly this place is."
Svartr nods in agreement, watching Erever curiously and wondering if he should introduce himself, since they haven't exactly "met" each other so far.

"I know we arrived here through a loop hole in space." Machiko says quietly.
"Yeah in the astronomy building, go figure." Caius agrees.
Kacia nods, still keeping an eye on Talamar.
If only Talamar wasn't so depressed underneath his cheerful exterior. Then Kacia wouldn't be a problem.
"I believe we were traveling to the mortal world and somehow got drawn here," Svartr says, his expression thoughtful. He keeps an eye on Talamar, however, to ensure he does not have enough time to dwell on thoughts better left alone. "Did you do something different to the magic, Talamar?"
Talamar blinks, bringing himself back to the present. Damius' statement brought back memories of a time when he had been waiting to die. And Kacia reminded him of the fact that he had no future with anyone.
"I do not believe so," he says automatically. With an effort, he pastes a grin on his face. "Besides, you were so vague on your instructions I wouldn't have a clue if I actually did."

"So you know magic too?" Kacia asks in excitement, "So do I! Though I'm not as good as Machiko."
Caius smirks at her nodding.
Machiko blushes.
If only we could start an rp with our characters (even though we're kinda already doing that)
Talamar smiles sincerely. He doesn't often come across such 'young' and 'bouncy' people. Elves aren't particularly known for their bounce, and neither are vampires. Svartr is recalling a certain human with an uncharacteristic fondness.
"Who among us can truly claim to know magic? I am, however, fairly acquainted with soul-magic. And my ladies are practicing in the areas of...?" Talamar trails off.

"Perhaps they could teach me some magic that they know if I ever visit." she says hopefully.
Caius rolls his eyes at her stuborness.
Machiko is still embarressed by Kacia's praise.
If only Svartr wasn't finding this all terribly funny. Talamar wasn't hinting at anything, just asking what magic Kacia and Machiko know. (Which admittedly would have been ideal in distracting Kacia.)
The corners of Svartr's mouth deepen as he laughs internally. He glances over at Caius, wondering if the werewolf found it amusing as well.
Talamar's smile is slightly strained now. "I am afraid that for humans the only method of learning soul-magic is to have their soul...loosened by a vampire's feeding. Or to have their souls-blood consumed entirely. I doubt you want that, Kacia."
He turns to Machiko and asks curiously, and a little too quickly, "What magic do you know, if I might ask?"

Caius laughs to himself about Kacia's misinterpretation.
Machiko still blushing says,
"I'm not really as good as they say. But I have learned how to levitate and make myself invisible."
"Which no one else in her class has learned." Kacia adds smuggly, putting her arm on Machiko's shoulder.
Caius nodds, looking at Machiko with something more than respect.
Damius simply laughed to himself. "Quite a cast of characters you are! It is refreshing to see youth and humor in this day and age."
