"When is he going to wake up? you didn't hit him that hard!" Came a shrill female voice to the left of the pacing footsteps. The legs of a chair, as well as the legs of the woman sitting in it were visible from where Jacob was. She had small legs that were bare, most likely because she was in a skirt, and was wearing immodest footwear-strappy black high heels. Pacing in front of her,the large legs of a man could be seen, clad in dark slacks and dress shoes. Whoever the people were, they placed style above comfort. A set of steel bars, slick from being bathed in some kind of solution could also be seen, separating the people from Jacob.

Jacob decided that the longer they thought he was unconscious the better it was for him so he let his eyes slide close again.
"This getting boring. Just hit him again." the girl said.The man sighed. "Be patient." he said.
"Are you sure you saw him with her? He might not even know anything." The girl added.
"Oh, he knows. I'm sure I saw him talking to one of them." the man replied.
Rebecca went down to her car, looking for her keys as she went; and finding them on the table next to the door. Jacobs mind flew to Susannah as it always did when people said her.
Christian knocked on the Blacks front door, and it was answered by a distraught looking Susannah, who had dried tear tracks running down her face, but whose hair tips kept sparking, occasionally catching flame. "Come in," she said, stepping out of the way for Christian to come in."Lets throw something at him," the woman said,a tapping sound resonating through the small room when she stood on her heels.
"Not that, you crazy woman! You'll kill him!" the man said.
"My aim is better than that." she said, And a knife whirred through the air.
Jacob heard the air splitting around something and peeked to see what it was. In less than an instant he was a wolf, growling and barking loudly.
"He's awake!" The woman said with mock applause, the knife landing harmlessly a few inches from him. Zach drove with Rebecca to Jacob's house.
Rebecca got to the Blacks house a few minutes after Christian. Jacob growled threateningly.
Christian answered the door, as Susannah was too busy angrily making and extinguishing fireballs to hear the doorbell."Don't be like that." The woman said. "We just want to talk."
Jacob paced back and forth. "So what's going on?" Rebecca asked.
"Shift back, punk," the man ordered."I called Jacob to ask for a ride back from the center of town, but he wasn't answering. So I walked back and checked with the pack to see how long he would be patrolling. But they said he'd left early when one of the members noticed his car was making weird noises. So I came back here to look for him, and he wasn't in the house, so I checked the garage, where I found - " Susannah broke off suddenly, worry paralyzing her features and blocking her voice.
"Come look," Christian said, taking Susannah's arm and leading her, Zach, and Rebecca to the garage.
The hood of the rabbit was lifted, tools scattered around as if someone had been right in the middle of working on it. On the floor was Jacob's cell phone with a cracked screen, some blood, and a bloody wrench discarded a few feet away.
"Go find Sam," Rebecca said, to no one in particular. "We need an Alphas approval to bring vampires. "Jacob barked and pawed at the shredded clothes on the ground.
Susannah took off running."Don't act rashly. These are the only extra clothes you're getting from us. We don't run a boutique." The woman said, tossing Jacob a pair of grey pants.
Jacob stared at them for a while. Half waiting for them to turn around and half debating if he was even going to shift.
"You're such a princess." the woman said as they turned their backs. "Shift.""It'll be much more pleasant if you do it willingly." The man added.
Susannah quickly found Sam and explained the situation.
After thinking for a few minutes Sam agreed to allow for two vampires. Jacob shifted and put his pants on quickly.
Susannah ran and let the others know Sam's decision.They turned back around. "So," the man said as they both pulled up chairs next to his cell. "Lets chat."
"That red head you live with and her little cousin. Tell us about them." the woman said pleasantly.
"I'm not telling you s**t," Jacob said. "We need Alek, I need his scrying crystal and Jasper Cullen," Rebecca said.
"Aw, Danny he's making me sad." the woman said.The man, Danny, glared at Jacob. "Nobody disappoints my girl. Talk, or we'll find a way to make you talk."
"I know!" the woman said. "Lets start with something else. Have you ever heard of Adriana and Bartholomew Alcza?" she asked.
Susannah quickly called both of them.
"You mean Adrian and Balthazar?" Jacob asked.
"Is that what they're calling themselves now?" the man mused. "Sure. Adrian and Balthazar. what do you know about them?"
"I know that I want to kill them violently," Jacob said. "Almost as violently as I want to kill you right now."
"Interesting." the man said. "Well, allow us to introduce ourselves. Danny and Analise Huitt, best bounty hunters in the eastern hemisphere. There's a witch in New Zealand willing to pay a pretty penny for a pet like you."
Jacob growled and a tremor traveled down his spine.
"We also know some buyers in the arctic that are always looking for pretty firestarters." Danny added.
Jacob's eyes narrowed and his whole frame shook with the desire to shift.
"But the biggest prize is a tribe in Brazil looking for the Alzca twins." The woman said.
"We don't ask why. They seemed pretty angry though. Probably to kill them. Make the do circus tricks. Don't know, don't care," The woman said."Your turn. Talk." Danny said.
"You find out why they want them, and if I like the reason I'll bring them to you," Jacob said. "Then you leave."
"We aren't negotiating here." Analise said, "We're taking you and the firestarter. I also heard rumors that a witch as around here. Their hearts sell well on the black market. "
"If you touch any of them I will kill you very slowly," Jacob growled.
"So it's true, then?" Danny said in disbelief. "There really are firestarters and witches here? I really thought you were crazy, Analise ."
"And you're not getting your hands on any of them," Jacob said.
"And what do you expect to do about it from your little cage there, huh?" Analise said.
"I doubt I'll be here too long," Jacob said. "Besides I can tear a vampire apart without even trying, I don't think getting out of here will be too hard." He said putting his hand on the bars. Alek came with the crystal after Susannah called.

((sure))the skin on Jacobs hand immediately started sizzling.
Jasper arrived soon after.
"Jasper I need you to make sure Susannah stays calm," Rebecca told him quietly when he arrived. "There'll be no finding him if she looses her cool and burns the house down."Jacob hissed and jerked his hand away. "What the f**k is that!?"
Jasper nodded, and sent calming vibes to Susannah, whose hair finally went out."Security," Danny said,
Jacob glared at him. He didn't like either of the bounty hunters but he particularly hated this guy.
"it'll be a lot easier for everyone if you just tell I what you know." Analise said.
"Not gonna happen," Jacob said. Rebecca got the crystal from Alek and sent him to start tracking Jacob. "Susannah I need something of Jacob's to use to find him," she said. "The more personal the better."
"I found this on the garage floor." Susannah said, And she handed Rebecca Jacobs wedding ring. "Must have fallen or something."Danny sighed, "Oh well," he said, And he shot Jacob with a special tranquilizer designed for wolves like him or elephant herds. Just depended on what they were hunting that day. He turned to Analise, "Make sure that witch is holding up her end of the bargain and keeping this place hidden. If there really are witches around here, I don't want any surprises," Analise nodded and left while Danny thought of what and how they'd go after next.
Rebecca took the ring and tied it to the chord on the crystal. She held it over a map and it started to swing in circles which got smaller as it zoned in on him. Jacob growled as he swayed on his feet before he fell.
Analise threatened the witch they'd captured a couple of jobs ago until she agreed to cast a spell that would send anyone trying to find their location in the wrong direction.
Just like when they were looking for Susannah, just as the crystal was about to land it flew out of Rebecca's hand. "I really hate that f**king spell," she muttered.
"What now?" Susannah asked, anxiety leaking into her voice despite Jaspers best efforts to keep her calm. Her eyes also started to flicker red as her anger fought Jaspers compulsion.
"Protection spell," Rebecca said. "Hides people from scrying. Adrian used it last time she took you. But Alek should still be able to track him."Alek's tracking had not been affected by the spell and he was getting close to the end of the trail.
"Werewolfs trapped, firestarter useless at tracking, witch blocked, I think we're good, Danny." Analise said, Going back into the room where Jacob was being held.
Alek stopped hearing four heartbeats coming from just ahead.
