Alek got out and lead the way down to the shore.

Alek reached out and took her hand while they walked.
Sabrina looked over at him and smiled.
Alek smiled back, wrapping an arm around her waist as they walked.
Sabrina wrapped an arm around him in return.
Jacob came bounding down the beach; he grabbed Alek's throat and lifted him off the ground. Alek pulled at his hand and kicked wildly but as a human his strength was nothing compared to Jacob's."Where is it?" Jacob growled. "Where's the body?"
"Th- There's n..." Alek choked.
"Bulls**t. I feel your pulse, who did you kill to get it?"
"I... didn-" Alek's leg eyelids started to flutter, his legs stilling.
"let go of him and listen!" Sabrina said, trying to push Jacob off of Alek.
Jacob dropped Alek and he fell to his knees, coughing and gasping. "I didnt... kill... anyone," he gasped. "I swear.""Oh yeah and I believe you," Jacob said sarcastically.
Sabrina stood between alek and Jacob protectively, and said, "he's telling the truth" and told Jacob about the events of the past couple of days.
"You want me to believe that you just wished really hard and turned your boyfriend into a real boy with powers you didn't know you had four days ago," Jacob said, raising an eyebrow.
Sabrinas hand twitched with the urge to smack him in the face. "Next time I nearly go blind I'll be sure to document more evidence." she said bitterly.
Alek slowly got to his feet, still breathing hard. "Jacob, I swear I never killed anyone," he said, his voice still a bit horse. "At least not in the time you've known me."
Pain shot through Sabrinas head suddenly, impossibly worse than even that morning, and she fell to her knees with a whimper, her head in her hands.
Alek knelt beside her and slid his hands under hers to hold her head. He sent a series of different healing spells through his hands hoping to help her more than he had with her eyes.
The pain ebbed but didn't leave, and Sabrina stubbornly rose unsteadily to her feet anyway.
"Sabrina, no, sit back down," Alek said. He sat her down in the sand and sat behind her, laying her head in his lap."What do you mean not in the time I've known you?" Jacob asked.
"Seriously?" Alek scoffed. "That's what you want to talk about right now?"
Jacob didn't say anything, just waited for an answer.
"Fine there was an accident a long time ago. I didn't know how strong my powers were; got in a fight with someone under my control and said my life would be easier if they dropped dead. The next day their body was found. The cause of death was labeled a suicide, but I knew that wasn't true. I'd killed them. I said I wanted them and that was what I got."
Sabrina took his hand I'm hers bot trusting her voice but wanting to let him know her opinion of him hadn't changed.
Jacob didn't say anything, he just stared at Alek."So now you know, I'm an asshole and a murderer," Alek said. "But that was the only time. I didn't kill anyone to become human." Then he looked down at Sabrina, "Not yet anyway."
"I'm. ..fine." Sabrina insisted weakly.
"Yeah and I'm a vampire," Alek said, lifting her up. "Come on, we're going back to Christian's house."
Sabrina groaned, but didn't protest.
Alek looked at Jacob, "Am I free to go?" "Yeah sure," Jacob said.
"We're going to Shirley's later to talk about how Sabrina and Susannah are probably more than cousins later; you should bring Susannah."
"I'll see," Jacob said then he left and Alek carried Sabrina to the car.
Sabrina rested her head against his shoulder and whimpered softly
"You're going to be alright love," Alek whispered, kissing her head.
"I'm sorry," Sabrina whispered softly.
"ruining our morning." Sabrina said.
"You didn't ruin it," Alek said, "Jacob did."
Alek gently placed her in her seat and shut the door for her.
Alek drove quickly to Christian's house helping her out of the car and up to the door when they got there.
dizzy, Sabrina leaned heavily against him.
Alek held her up as best he could while he banged on the door urgently.
Christian answered, and when he saw Sabrina, his face paled and he opened the door to let them in without a word, leading them into the living room.
Alek slowly lowered her onto the couch and sat next to her.
"What happened? " Christian asked, sitting on a chair across from them.
"She woke up this morning and could see, we went out to the beach and she collapsed cause her head hurt," Alek said.
"You can see? " Christian asked incredulously. When Sabrina nodded with a wince, he said, "Hmm...let me look at something." And he stared between Sabrina and Alek, a look of intense concentration on his face as he saw something They could not.
"What are you doing?" Alek asked.
"I'm...well, I guess you could say I'm looking at the shadows of your persons. a soul, or physical representation of a soul, radiates light. in fact, with some training, Sabrina should be able to see it. I can't, but where there is light, there is shadow, and that's what I'm trying to glimpse." Christian explained. "And yours are. ..very interesting."
Christian shook his head, lost in thought.
Alek rolled his eyes and reached over to hold Sabrina's hand.
"Ok, here's my theory." Christian said. "Rather than actually heal you with her powers, Sabrina inadvertently you...a piece of her soul, if you will. Soul is too spiritual a term for what it is, but it's proper name eludes me. Anyway, since the magic was transferred rather than used, the throwback wasn't permanent. Before I continue, i have a question: has your mind always been your own?"
"Balthazar was squatting in her head for a while," Alek said. "But I took care of it."
"...Are you sure?" Christian asked. "Because the only way I can figure she'd be able to work that kind of magic would be if someone with more experience did it for her. and her head hurts now because they're trying to make her do something else, but because I bonded her magic, it's not working and hurting her" Christian Said.
"I'm pretty sure," Alek said. "I went in and killed the part of him that was invading her mind."
Christian looked at him skeptically. "One more thing," he added, and he kicked Alek in the shin.
