Sabrina also nodded, but didn't speak because she didn't think she could keep her voice steady, and because the voice in her head - once it had departed - had left her with a painful headache.

Come meet me at the boundary, Alek texted Sabrina.

"What's up?" Christian asked, looking at them curiously. "Is everything alright?"
"Everything's fine. I think." Susannah replied. "Are you free today? This could take a while."
Christian nodded. "Take a seat, I'll be right back. There's something I've been meaning to speak to you about as well."
Sabrina was laying on the couch, and when she heard her phone chirp she almost ignored it, the pounding in her head not lessening despite the two pain pills she'd taken. But she answered it anyway, replying with, Alright, and was at the boundary about twenty minutes later, despite having run there.

Jacob followed Susannah inside.
Rebecca kissed his head gently.

Christian came back, a box in his hands. "You aren't going to like what I have to say." he said as he put the box on the coffee table.
Zach's eyes opened as he woke, and he smiled at her. "Hey beautiful." he said.

Jacob took a step closer to Susannah, so he could help her deal with whatever was said.
"Seatbelt," Alek said, driving to his house.

"Sabrina came to talk to me the other day - apparently she has the signs of being a firestarter too. But that's weird because your firestarter blood is from your father, not your mother. I wasn't even completely sure she was a firestarter, but the more I looked at her, the more I saw it - she was glowing, like you did for a couple of weeks when you first came into your powers. You wouldn't have noticed because you didn't know what to look for at the time but - " Christian was saying when Susannah cut him off.
"I saw it today. She was definitely glowing." Susannah said, and Christian's eyes widened.
"That just makes me more right, when I wish I wasn't." he sighed, and then continued. "Despite that, though, she hasn't created physical fire, even while under emotional duress. Then, impossibly, I thought maybe she was a soulfire. Like a firestarter, but they don't create physical fire that drains their energy, their very essence, their soul, is made of fire. Immensely powerful, but ultimately detrimental as using the power uses the soul, and can kill them. But a soulfire is the second-born of a firestarter family. Never the first, and very rare as many firestarters only have one child. So...I may have tracked down some of your hair and some of her hair and some of your father's hair from the journal you left here, and I may have analyzed the firestarter imprint that's like DNA to a firestarter, and sticks to things that hold DNA, like blood, skin, or hair. And yours were similar. Strikingly similar. Similar enough to come to the conclusion that you may not be cousins at all, but closer blood relatives."
"What are you saying?" Susannah asked, the hollowness of her voice saying she already understood, but needed to hear it.
"I'm saying...you might want to talk to your aunt about why exactly she and your mother stopped talking." Christian said.
"What is it?" Sabrina asked, crossing her arms in front of her chest rather than reach for the seatbelt.

Rebecca reached for her phone to check, but it wasn't there. "I have no idea," Rebecca said. "All of our stuff is in your car."
Jacob was stunned, he had no clue how he should react.

"Oh, right." Zach said, remembering. Then a grin spread over his face. "I will never look at that car the same way again." he said.
Susannah put her head in her hands, and Christian stopped talking to let her get her thoughts together.

"Well he is that," Alek said, "but that's not all." He stopped in front of his house and got out. "Come on. I need to check something."

Sabrina hopped out of the car.

Jacob put a hand on Susannah's shoulder, not sure what else he could do at the moment.
Rebecca smiled, wrapping her arms around him from behind and kissed his shoulder. "That's just how I feel about my shower, and my bed," she smirked.

"Does Sabrina know?" Susannah asked.
"I haven't spoken with her yet." Christian replied.
Zach laughed, and stood. Then he looked down at his lack of clothes. "How should I get to my clothes in my car without flashing your neighborhood?" he asked.

"Maybe you should tell her when we get home," Jacob suggested.
"I need to take a look inside your head," Alek said. "Now please lay down."

"yeah...I guess." Susannah replied.
"And what is in my head that concerns you?" Sabrina asked.

"Sure thing," Rebecca smiled, kissing his cheek before she took off down the stairs. She was stopped at the bottom by the scene that was going on. "What's up?" she asked, concerned.

"Nothing." Susannah said, standing. "We were just leaving." she added as she moved towards the door.

"I'll give you a full detailed explanation later," Alek sighed. "Will you please just lay down."

Rebecca looked at Christian questioningly. "What was all that?"
"Alright, close your eyes," Alek said. "I'm going to put you into a deep sleep first."

"I found out some things that were hard for her to hear. " Christian replied.
Sabrina closed her eyes.

Jacob nodded, driving back to LaPush.
Rebecca nodded then went out to the car to get the clothes.
