"It was so you wouldn't feel it," Alek said. He yanked her hair to tip her head back.

"I'd rather feel it. Not feeling your boyfriend try to kill you two minutes after saying sometimes he thinks he might love you doesn't mean it isn't happening." Sabrina replied,
"I'm not trying to kill you," Alek said, pressing his lips against the side of her neck. "I just want a taste."
Sabrina scoffed. "I highly doubt it's going to end well."
"You may be right," Alek said. His mouth opened wide next to a prominent vein in her neck.
"You're no better than Henry. If I do survive this, I want nothing to do with you. Come near me again, and I'll ask my cousin to fry you-she's gotten pretty good at it." Sabrina said.
Alek stopped and looked at her, blinking rapidly like someone coming out of a trance.
Sabrina was still glaring at him, disappointment and anger making her blue eyes stormy.
Alek eyes widened and he let go of her. Then he was gone, leaving the door open behind him.
Sabrina left the house, not getting farther than the sidewalk before the feelings of fear and betrayal hit her and her shoulders shook with heartbroken sobs.
Alek drained a deer and a mountain lion in just a few minutes, before finding Sabrina, a couple of blocks from his house.
Sabrina had stopped accruing by then, and she was headed home.
"I'm sorry," Alek said, running ahead of her. "I'm so sorry."
Sabrina didn't acknowledge him, she just kept walking, staring straight ahead.
"Sabrina please stop," Alek said, ahead of her once again. "You can't go back, Henry'll be right down the hall."
"Better him than you," Sabrina said bitterly, still refusing to look at him.
Alek took a key out of his pocket and held it out for her. "I won't stay in the house," he said. "It'll just be you, safe from both of us. Please."
Sabrina shook her head stubbornly. "I want to go home."
"Sabrina please," Alek begged. "I'll never bother you, I won't even go to the dance if you don't want me to, just don't go back there to him."
"Home is where you go when things fall apart and go to hell." Sabrina said. "Its where you go when you trust someone with your life and they betray you. I'm going home."
"No you're not," Alek said, grabbing her shoulder. He teleported to his house, put her inside then sealed the door with magic from the other side.
Sabrina screamed in frustration. "Damn you!" she cursed at him, kicking the door that she couldn't open.
"Too late for that love," Alek said.
"You're such a jerk!" Sabrina screamed at him, punching the door where she figured his face would be. "I lived next to Henry for seventeen years!" another punch. "I could have barricaded the door or something! " another punch. "What the hell makes you think you have the right to do this you bast**d!" another punch. Sabrina finally sank to the floor, panting, knuckles bleeding from having hit the door so fiercely at all the wrong angles.
Alek smelt the blood and stepped back. "Could you wash that off please?" He requested. "I don't want to loose control again."
"Go to hell. " Sabrina muttered, but she went and cleaned her hands anyway, wincing as the rush of water ran over her split knuckles.
"There are some bandages on the table," Alek called. His eyes flashed, then they were there.
Sabrina bandaged her hands, her anger quick to leave her, and she was left feeling empty and confused by the time she'd finished, but she was no longer cursing his name under her breath with every movement.
"You should get some sleep," Alek said. "It's late and we have to go check in with your mother for breakfast in the morning."
"Like I can sleep in this house." Sabrina said sarcastically.
Alek rolled his eyes. "Just go to bed," he said.
Sabrina sat down against the wall by the door. "No," she said.
"Whatever you want," Alek shrugged.
Alek stood on the porch, not saying anything.
Eventually Sabrina fell asleep, but it was an unpeaceful sleep, riddled with nightmares that left her screaming and crying, calling out to her father or pleading for Alek to let her go.
Alek was horrified at a lot of what he heard.
It was only about three hours later that Sabrina gave up on trying to sleep and paced in front of the door instead.
Alek waited outside, listening to everything she did but didnt say anything.
Sabrina didn't stop moving until the sun came up, afraid that if she sat down she'd have nightmares again.
About an hour after the sun came up Alek opened the door. "You ready to go to breakfast?" He asked.
Sabrina just glared at him and stepped around him outside.
Alek shook his head and opened the car door for her.
Sabrina walked past him, and continued towards her house on foot.
Alek picked her up and put her in the car, shutting the door once she was in the seat. He ran around the car and started driving. "Put on your seat belt," he told her.
By this point Sabrina was mad. Really mad. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been so pi* *ed off. She crossed her arms over her chest, not moving to get her seat belt, not noticing it when her eyes flashed red.
Alek however didn't miss anything, he saw the color change and slammed on the brake. "What the bloody h**l was that?"
