While on the way Jacob gave Kahlan a call to tell her to let everyone know that the Cullen's were coming to the beach. She wasn't thrilled, no one was but they sucked it up because Jacob had said it was ok.

When they got to La Push Susannah headed to Jacob's house while Sabrina went to catch up with the others down on the beach.
Jacob followed Susannah in to change.
Susannah looked through the couple of boxes of clothes she owned, the only swimsuit she was able to find was the one Alek had made her wear. She searched her clothes twice before resigning herself to wearing that one.
Jacob just put on a pair of swim trunks. When he saw Susannah at first he was annoyed about the whole Alek thing, but he decided that she did look good in it. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and kissed her neck. "Well now I can't have you going out there in front of a whole bunch of other guys looking this hot," he said jokingly, "I'd get so jealous."
Susannah blushed. "Actually, I was hoping you'd let me borrow one of your bigger shirts to wear over it until we get to the beach."
Jacob smiled and pulled a t-shirt out of one of his drawers and handed it to her.
"Thank you." Susannah said, slipping it over her head, and it was long enough halfway down her thigh.
Jacob nodded and took her hand. "Let's head down to the beach."
Susannah nodded and walked alongside him.
Jacob slid his fingers between hers as they walked.
When the got down to the beach it wasn't hard for Jacob to find exactly where along the water everyone was.
When they caught up with everyone, susannah sat next to sabrina on a log of drift wood, their toes barely being washer by the low tide.
Alek had disappeared into the woods for a little while to hunt and was getting back around the same time as Jacob and Susannah. "Would you care to go for a swim?" He asked Sabrina holding a hand out to her.
Sabrina smiled and nodded, taking his hand as she stood. She either didnt care about or didnt notice how cold his hand was, she didnt show any reaction to tell.
Jacob wrapped his arms around Susannah's waist. "You wanna go cliff diving?" He asked. Bella appeared at his arm. "If you guysgo I'm coming." She declared.
"What do you mean 'cliff diving'?" Susannah asked.
Jacob pointed at the cliffs where everyone goes cliff diving. "There's the low and the high jumps."
"Youve got to be crazy." Susannah said.
"Not even a little," Jacob said. "Come on.""It's a lot of fun," Bella chimed in.
Jacob smiled and took her hand. "You coming Edward?" Bella asked.
"No. I'm going to keep an eye on them," he gestured to Alek and Sabrina.
Jacob led Susannah to the cliffs, Bella walking along beside them.
Susannah walked next to him, heading to the cliffs a bit hesitantly."So how long have you been i forks alek?" Sabrina asked as they swam.
"A few months now," Alek said. "Do you want to go from theat lower bit or from the top?" Jacob asked Susannah.
"Whyd you move?" She asked."The lower bit." Susannah said
Jacob nodded. "You going to the top Bells?" he asked. "Yep."
Alek shrugged, "couple reasons."
Susannah stopped at the lower cliff, and peered over the edge nervously."Like?" Sabrina asked.
Alek was at a loss for what to say. He moved there to gain power from Rebecca others in the area, but he had never come up with a cover story. Jacob squeezed her hand reassuringly.
"Let me guess," sabrina said, her tone light and friendky, in an attempt to break the sudden silence. "If you told me, youd have to kill me, right?""I dont know, jacob, its...really high." Susannah said.
"Just close your eyes and keep your legs straight. Gravity takes care of the rest.""Something like that," Alek said.
"Gravity would be the enemy here." Susannah said.Sabrina shrugged. "Alright. Whatever your reasons, at least youre here now " she said, then she laid back into the water, and floated on her back
Alek ducked underwater and swam around. "Just push off hard to get some distance from the rocks and you'll be fine," Jacob said.
Sabrina watched the sky. Despite the semiwarm weather, it was still a bit gray. She couldnt get away from gray skies in forks."You go first." Susannah said.
"Ok," Jacob said. "Oh one more thing: you'll probably want to take a running start." And with that he leapt of the edge. While he fell he put his arms over his head and turned until he sliced through the water with a perfect dive.
Susannah peered over the edge at all that...water. she didnt know when, but the idea of natural water, water that hadnt been purified or tampered with by humans seemed suddenly very, very unpleasant and she didnt feel like getting any closer.
"Come on in," Jacob called once he surfaced.
Susannah shook her head, and headed back down.
Jacob came out of the water and met up with her at the bottom. "You ok?" He asked, putting his hands on her shoulders.
Susannah looked out at the watern "i justr dont want to swim." She said.
"Ill wait for you over there." Susannah said, pointing towards the log she was sitting on earlier.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Jacob asked worriedly.
Jacob sat down with her and held her hand.
"You can go swim jacob, ill be fine here." Susannah said.
"It's fine," Jacob said. "Is either stick with you."
