"Thank you all for trying to help," Alek said as he left."It's no trouble at all," Esme said warmly.
"We'll see you guys tomorrow," Jacob said, taking Susannah's hand to lead her out.
Susannah waved, then followed Jacob out.
{{srry, was doing a whole bunch over my spring break}}Jacob opened Susannah's door for her.
((Oh, cool. I hope it was awesome!))Susannah thanked him, then got in.
{{it was pretty good}}Jacob drove back to his house.
"So how do you plan to get sabrina to met carlisle?" Susannah asked as she gathered her books the next morning.
"I'm going to invite her," Jacob said.
"And what makes you think she'll agree?" Susannah asked.
Jacob shrugged. "I doubt she'll have anything better to do."
"True. But she's not your biggest fan." Susannah pointed out.
"Well I guess we'll just have to see what happens," Jacob said.
Susannah shrugged and nodded, then walked outside.
Jacob followed and got in the car.
Jacob got them to school about ten minutes before class.
Susannah walked with him to class, sabrina the only one already there.
Jacob put his stuff in his seat and went over to where Sabrina was sitting. "Morning."
Sabrina looked up at him. Then she lookee back down, not saying anything.
"I wanted to apologize for yesterday," Jacob said. "I was rude."
"Yeah, you were." Sabrina said, still refusing to look at him.
"Anyway," Jacob continued. "I wanted to invite you to hange out after school today. I'm going over to hang out with some old friends. Would you like to come?"
Sabrina was quiet a bit, thinking. "Fine. When and where?" She asked.
"We'll leave from here right after school. I'll drive."
"Meet you out front after last period," Jacob said and went back to his seat as the bell rang and more kids filed in.
Sabrina was quiet the rest of class.
((Yeah))At the end of the day, Sabrina stood outside the school.
Jacob and Alek had talked at lunch and decided that he couldn't run there so he'd have to drive with them. On the way out Jacob told Susannah she'd have to sit in the back with Alek, as the best way to try to prevent him from killing Sabrina.
Susannah had agreed, and walked with Jacob out of the school that afternoon.
Alek met up with all of them outside having skipped last period to hunt.
They caught up to Sabrina, and headed towards Jacob's car. Sabrina kept peeking at Alek from the corner of her eye the whole walk there.
Jacob opened their behind the driver side door for Susannah. Alek did the same with the passenger door for Sabrina, earning him a glare from JKe.
Sabrina smiled and blushed lightly as she got into the car with a quiet, "Thank you.""Thanks." Susannah said as she ducked into the car.
Alek got in next to Susannah, sitting perfectly still, every muscle in his body tenses from Sabrin's scent filling the while car.
Susannah watched Alek closely, and through narrowed eyes, trying to catch absolutely anything that might hint if his control slipped.
Alek began to very slowly, involuntarily, lean forward.
Susannah glared, and a warning spark of fire erupted on his shirt sleeve for a second.
Aleck hissed and and slapped out the spark. "I'm trying here, you think I want to be here right now? This is just about as painful for me as being turned."
Susannah sighed. "I know. But that doesnt mean you didnt deserve that."
"Alek, im not going to wait for you to hurt her to do something. You leaned forward too much." Susannah said.
Alex rolled his eyes and turned to look out the window.
