Rebecca smiled and slid her hand into his, threading their finger together.
"Come on," Rebecca said. "We better get going, its a long walk and it'll be getting dark soon."
Rebecca followed, resting her head on his shoulder.
Zach took his hand from hers and slid it around her waist.
"I love you so much," Rebecca said.
"I wonder if you couldn't teleport now, even though you're not a vampire," Rebecca wondered aloud.
"Why would I be able to? I couldnt before." Zach said.
"Being a vampire increases what already exists," Rebecca said. "It doesn't create things."
Zach shrugged. "I'd rather not try it."
"You don't have to," Rebecca said, "it was just a theory."
"I bet you could," Rebecca said. "Probably just not very far."
zach didn't reply, no longer wanting to talk about it.
Rebecca lightly rubbed his back, deciding not to push the subject.
About half way to her house Rebecca had to stop she was so tired. She sat and leaned back against a tree, taking a long drink from her water bottle.
Zach sat on the floor next to her and took a sip of water. "I need to invest in a car." he said. "Actually," he added. "I'd need a job first."
"Your car's at my place," Rebecca laughed.
"Its my moms car." Zach said. "And I got lucky today because she didnt need it."
"I could always do this..." Rebecca said snapping her fingers. As she did so a brand new car appeared on the road.
"Where'd that come from?" Zach asked.
"Magic," Rebecca shrugged like it was no big deal.
"Why?" Rebecca asked. "You said you wanted a car, so there it is."
"You cannot just poof stuff up and call it yours!" Zach said.
"Because..." Rebecca started, confused as to what he meant.
"Because it isnt right?" Zqch supplied for her.
"What do you mean?" Rebecca asked. "That's what I've always done."
"So I don't see what the problem with conjuring you a car is," Rebecca said.
"Because there was no work involved?" Zach suggested.
"Hey, magic taked up a lot of energy ok," Rebecca said. "Regulating is a lot of work, every spell drains you, and if you're not careful, it could kill you."
"All the more reason not to do it?" Zach said.
"It's only a reason not to if you don't know how to control it," Rebecca said. "I can control my energy useage just fine.
Rebecca shrugged. "I don't agree with you," she said. "But I'll send it back, just not right now. If I try to send it back right now, I'll likely end up in a comma."
"Come on," Rebecca said. "Let's drive the rest of the way to my place."
Rebecca got up and into the passanger side. "Come on!" She said excitedly.
Zach got into the car and started it up.
"You really don't like it?" Rebecca asked disappointedly.
Rebecca frowned. "Well that's upsetting," she said.
"I dont see why. I already told you." He said
"I junt meant I hoped you like a new car that's all," Rebecca said.
