"Because it would just mess this up, when we just fixed it," Rebecca said.
"I mean we just got back together and I think it might upset you," Rebecca said. "And I don't want to do that."
"I don't see how it could upset me." Zach said.
"You killed me," Rebecca whispered. "Not even because you had too. And your eyes were bright red like a vampire who feeds on humans."
Zach's arms slackened around her, and he sat there, staring at her in complete and utter shock, with a bit of fear laced in.
"I told you it would upset you," Rebecca said pulling out of his arms.
"it only upsets me because its true." Zach whispered shakily.

"No its not," Rebecca said, taking his face in her hands. "That's... I don't know what it is, but it is most definately not true!"
"Oh, because I never murdered you while I was a vampire?" Zach said with bitter sarcasm, his eyes alight with guilt.
"This was different," Rebecca said. "First of all I made you do that, and this time you didn't bite me."
"The end result's the same." Zach said. "And I will never forgive myself for it."
"You should," Rebecca said, "because the important part is that I'm alive, and so are you."
"I shouldn't have happened." Zach said.
"Well it did and that it, unless you can turn back time," Rebecca said.
"Unfortunately I cannot." Zach said softly.
"Even if you could," Rebecca said, "it wouldn't change a thing. I'd do everything over just the same."
"Well that's one of us." Zach muttered.
"Then I would have made you wait longer so you still wouldn't have a choice," Rebecca said.
"Right, I forgot. All things must go as Rebecca plans." Zach said bitterly.
"This I thought did," Rebecca said. "I thought this was something important."
"Just forget it." Zach said, turning away from her.
"Hey come on," Rebecca said, rubbing his back. "It was just a dream."
"Please," Rebecca whispered, "I hate you being mad at me, and you do to remeber."
"I'm not mad at you." Zach muttered, and though the statement was reluctant and he still didn't look at her, it was the truth.
Rebecca ran his fingers through his hair. " Are you sure?" She asked.
Zach nodded. "Yes, I'm not mad. I'm sulking. There's a certain clarity that comes with sulking." he said, his tone becoming lighter.

Rebecca wrapped her arms around his shoulders from behind, and lightly kissed his neck.
Zach leaned into her touch slightly.
"I love you," Rebecca said, laying her head on his shoulder.
"I love you too." Zach said, wrapping an arm around her.
"I'm sorry for upsetting you," Rebecca frowned.
Zach sighed. "It's fine. Not your fault."
"Yes it is," Rebecca said. "I went and told you about that stupid dream."
"You also asked to be let out of that basement," Rebecca said, "but I didn't listen."
Zach mulled this over for a second. "True." he said. "Although asked might be putting it lightly. I think at one point I begged to be let out of that basement."
"I am a horrible person," Rebecca groaned. "You should have left me dead, or killed me last night. I deserve it."
"I don't." Zach said, not bothering to comment on what she deserved. He didn't feel like arguing.
"You don't what?" Rebecca asked a little confused.
"Never mind." Zach said, flopping back to lay down in the grass.

Zach shook his head. "So, what else did you want to do today?" he asked, changing the subject.
Rebecca shrugged. "I didn't have any ideas for today," Rebecca said. "But Zach what is it that you're not telling me?"
