"And," Jacob said. "I decided I'd let you decide when you were ready."

"That is such a get-out-of-jail-free-card answer." Susannah commented.
"You asked I told you," Jacob shrugged.
Susannah shrugged as well. "Alright, whatever. Like I said, I was just wondering."
"And?" Jacob asked. "Since it is your decision."
Susannah shrugged. "I don't know. I'm kinda up for anything when it comes to you, Jacob. So I figured I'd ask you. And so that's what I did."
Jacob kissed her shoulder. "Well what that doesn't really decide anything," he said.
"Ok, here are two extreme instances on completely opposite sides of the spectrum: one, I ask you to take me now, two, I ask you to wait until we're married. What are your opinions on each?" Susannah asked.
"Whatever you want," Jacob said honestly.
"I don't know what I want any farther than the fact that I want you." Susannah said. "The where and the when I don't really care about."
"Well I'd be lying if I said I didn't want it," Jacob said quietly, and lightly kissing her collar. "But it's ultimately up to you."
"Well, I want it too. . ." Susannah said softly, trailing off when he kissed her and she had to gather her thoughts again since his kiss sent them flying everywhere.
"I. . .I really want it to happen soon, Jacob." Susannah admitted. "Because I really love you, all of you, and I often find it difficult to keep my hands to myself in your presence, and I just really want to be with you, as much as anyone can be with anyone else." By the end of her speech, Susannah was blushing terribly.
Jacob nodded. "Same here," he said, kissing her chest.
Susannah moaned quietly, and she kissed him softly.
"Can I ask you another question?" Susannah asked.
"Yes," Jacob said. "Of course you can."
"When's your birthday?" Susannah asked.
"Alright, another question: do you have a middle name?" Susannah asked.
"What are you most passionate about?" Susannah asked.
"What do you mean?" Susannah asked, confused, having expected the answer to be some kind of hobby.
"I mean you are what I care most about," Jacob said.
"Oh, ok." Susannah said. "What about your favorite book?"
"I don't really read much," Jacob shrugged. "But I guess it would be Skulduggery Pleasant."
"What about your favorite kind of car?" Susannah asked.
"Chevrolet Corvett," Jacob said, "hands down. All models are great but the best is the Singray."
Susannah nodded. "And what about your favorite drink?"
"Ginger ale," Jacob said. "Followed by Smirnoff wine coolers."
"What about your favorite kind of outfit?" Susannah asked.
Jacob shrugged. "Don't really have one."
"Ok, I think I'm out of questions." Susannah said.
"And I think I figured out what to do about that question you asked earlier," Jacob said alittle awkwardly.
"The next time your hair turns white then it'll be time," Jacob said.
"The next. . .what are you talking about?" Susannah asked. "My hair's never been white."
"It can be when it's on fire," Jacob said.
"Oh. Ok." Susannah said. "That makes sense."
Jacob kissed her lightly. "So what do you think?" He asked.
"I think it's a good idea." Susannah said.
Jacob kissed her collar bone lightly.
Susannah relaxed against him. "Was this," she gestured at the impromptu picnic with a hand, "the surprise?" she asked.
