"So what are you doing the rest of the day?" Zach asked.
"I wasn't planning anything," Jacob said. "Was there anything you wanted to do?" He asked Susannah.
Susannah shook her head. "Not really."
"I guess we're free," Jacob said.
"Man, I was hoping for some inspiration. Because I don't know what I'm going to do, and I'm quickly growing bored." Zach said.
"And boredom is not good for you," Jacob said.
"Because boredom leads to sleep, and for you sleep could lead to very bad things for the general populous," Jacob said.
"I don't see how that's even possible." Zach said.
"Magic," Jacob said. "Some times a good thing, other times," he motioned to Zach, "not so much."
"So anyone want to see a movie?" Jacob asked.
"Actually, I think I'm going to go do something like. . .run." Zach said, standing, his mind already picking out his path, already preparing for the rise in heartrate and the sweat, things he'd missed as a vampire, even if they were uncomfortable and stinky.
"Just don't tire yourself out to much," Jacob warned. "Where are you going to run?"
"Alright well try not to kill anyone, and have fun," Jacob said.
"Lock the door when you guys leave." Zach said. With that, he turned and left, not even bothering to change out of the clothes he'd worn to school.
"Will do," Jacob said as he left. "You wanna head out?" He asked Susannah.
"What would you like to do?" Jacob asked, taking her hand and heading for the door.
"Hm. . .I'm not sure." Susannah said.
"We could go out for a hike?" Jacob suggested.
"Alright, sure." Susannah said, jumping on the idea.
"Alright come on," Jacob said. "We'll just drop the car off back home, then we'll go from there."
"Thank you." Susannah said as she hopped in.
"You're welcome," Jacob said closing the door and walking around to his side. He got in, started the car and drove home.
Susannah looked out the window as they drove.
"Other then the story of Rebecca and Zach's transformations did I miss anything else at school today?" Jacob asked.
"Well, you missed calculus." Susannah said. "But that's it."
"Then I'm good," Jacob said. "I hate calc anyway."
"Yeah, but you're still tested on it." Susannah said.
"I said I hate it not that I can't do it," Jacob said.
"True: but you did miss today's lesson." Suannah said.
"And I have the smartest kid in the class to catch me up," Jacob said.
"Well the love of my life of course," Jacob smiled.
"Oh did I mention I have a surprise for you after our hike?" Jacob asked.
"No, you didn't." Susannah said. "What is it?"
"Oh yeah. Duh." Susannah said, laughing.
Jacob smiled. "I hope you like it," he said.
"Just promise me something," Jacob said.
"Just don't pretend to like it if you dont," Jacob said.
Susannah's jaw worked for a second as she thought it over, hesitating slightly. But she finally said, "Alright, I promise."
