"Why not?" Alek asked, not out of wanting for her to change her mind but because he wanted to know.
"Well, there are all the reasons I gave jacob: school, the fact that this is my home. Then reasons specific to you: I dont like you enough to go somewhere you're the only one I know, and I'd rather be near Jacob, spelled or not, than who knows where else." Susannah said.
Alek nodded in understanding. "Then I guess that's that," Alek said. "I'm sorry," he said again.
Susannah shrugged. "I know." she said.
Alek held his hand out to her the spell already flowing through to his finger tips.
Susannah slowly put her hand in his.
Once the spell had her under his hold, Susannah smiled widely at him. "Ready to head to school, Alek?"
"Sure," Alek said. "You go ahead, I'll meet up with you in a minute. There's just one quick thing I've got to do."
"Alright." Susannah said. She quickly kissed him, then went outside.
Alek grabbed a sheet of paper and scribbled something on it, folded it, wrote Susannah's name on it, and put on the nightstand with the ring on it. Then he ran out and caught up to Susannah in a just moment.
Susannah smiled at him once she saw him. She held her hand out for his.
Alek took her hand and thread his fingers through hers.
Susannah beamed. "I love you." she said, resting her head on his shoulder as they walked.
"I love you too," Alek said, looking straight ahead to avoid the agonizing guilt that would have come from looking into her eyes.
Alek kissed the top of her head as they neared the school. "I haven't any classes with you today," he said. "I'll meet up with you during lunch and out front afterschool."
Susannah nodded. "Alright. I'll miss you."
"And I you," Alek said before heading off to his class.
((Sure))At the end of the school day, Susannah waited for Alek at the front of the school.
Alek appeared at her side in an instant. He was soon followed by Rebecka and Jacob. "I assume you've done nothing recklacly stupid," Rebecka said, in response to which Alek just shook his head.
Susannah took Alek's hand once he was next to her.
"Jacob and Susannah will continue as they have," Rebecka continued, "this time with no foul ups."
"You mean I'll have to leave Alek again?" Susannah asked, a slight whinning tone coming to her voice.
"It's alright," Alek said reassuringly, gently running a hand down her back
"But, Alek," Susannah whined. "He's so unpleasant."
"It'll only be for a few hours," Alek said, "I'll get you in the morning."
Susannah sighed. "Alright. I'll miss you."
Alek took her hand and walked away. "Oh and Alek," Rebecka called after them, "don't do anything that will put her in jeopardy."
"Why would she say that?" Susannah asked as they walked.
"Its nothing," Alek said. Once he was sure they were out of Rebecka's range he stopped and turned to Susannah. "I left you something on the night stand in Jacobs room make sure you're alone when you get it okay."
Susannah nodded. "Ok." she said.((G2G))
"You have to be alone, it's very important," he said firmly, "swear to me."
"Thank you," Alek said, kissing her cheek softly.
"Of course." Susannah said. "Anything for you."
Alek took her hand and continued walking.
"I shouldn't go any farther than this," Alek said at the boundary to the reservation, "it'll cause issues with the wolves. I'll see you tomorrow, first thing in the morning."
Susannah nodded. "Alright." she said, as she gave him a quick kiss before she continued walking.
Alek left.Jacob was already at his house.
Susannah arrived at his house a few minutes later.
Jacob was lying on the couch watching tv. "What took you so long weren't you with a vampire?" He asked, not looking up and not actually caring about her answer.
"Yes. One who actually cares what I have to say. We were talking. One can't talk above the wind of vampire speed or during teleportation." Susannah said, pushing his feet off the couch, and sitting where they had been.
Jacob sighed in annoyance and adjusted his position. "There was a piece of paper with your name on it in the room," he said absently.
