"Goodnight." Susannah said.

Jacob went into his room and changed for bed.
Once she thought he was changed, Susannah went into his room to get her clothes.
Jacob left the room so she could change.
Susannah quickly changed, then went to her spot on the couch.
"What are you doing?" Jacob whispered harshly, sitting down next to her.
"What do you mean?" Susannah whispered back, just as harshly.
"The bed is in there," Jacob hissed quietly.
"And the couch is where I originally slept." Susannah said.
"But you've been sleeping in the room with me all this time and we're supposed to continue as normal," Jacob told her.
Susannah rolled her eyes. "Fine." she said.
Jacob motioned for her to go first. "Lady's first," he mumbled.
Susannah stood and walked into his room.
Jacob followed her in, and laid down on the bed.
Jacob slowly and reluctantly wrapped his arm around her.
Susannah shook his arm off. "Don't you think that's a little much?" she asked.
"When my dad says he going fishing that means he'll be up long before dawn," Jacob said, putting his arm back, "and he'll probably feel the desire to look in and if I'm out cold and you're having nightmares about god knows what then we won't know and he'll that we're faking it."
"How does that show him we're faking?" Susannah asked.
"If he looks and I'm not holding you the way I always have then he'll know something's up," Jacob explained.
Jacob's other arm slipped around her waist and pulled her into his chest.
Susannah closed her eyes as if she were getting ready to go to sleep, when in reality she was enjoying the feeling of being held by him, and wishing they didn't have to pretend, that it were real.
Jacob closed his eyes too, concerned with how right holding Susannah felt.
"Why do you love Rebecka?" Susannah asked, her eyes still closed, trying to put some honest sounding curiosity in her tone.
"The same reason you love Alek," Jacob said. "She's just so amazing in everyway it's impossible not to."{{srry fell asleep}}
((its ok))"But what specific qualities make her amazing?" Susannah asked.
"Well for starters she's smart and so powerful," Jacob said. "And not to mention beyond hot."
"Wow. Who knew you were so shallow." Susannah commented.
"I am not," Jacob protestedn finding that he needed to defend himself to her. "Why do you love Alek so much?"
"Because Alek is nice." Susannah said. "He makes me feel loved, and treats me like I'm something special. He's respectful to others and always does what's right. And, yeah, he's also really good looking."
"If he's so respectful to others why did he poison Rebecca?" Jacob pointed out. But he started thinking about the other things she had said about Alek and how they did not apply to Rebecka.
"I asked him why he did some of the things he did. They didn't matter, but just out of curiosity, and he regrets that. He's sorry, and that proves his respectfulness to others." Susannah said.
"Wow saying your sorry. I could say I'm sorry about what I said and did earlier but it doesn't mean I actually am," Jacob said rolling his eyes. "God you'll believe anything anyone says. That's why Adrian and Balthazar got to you so easily."
"You didn't see his face." Susannah said. "He is sorry. And let's not forget that Adrian and Balthazar tricked you too. And I'm really glad I'm with Alek now, more than usual, because honestly Jacob, you're kind of mean."
"I am not," Jacob said quickly, again needing to defend himself to her.
"Yeah, you are." Susannah said. "The worst example would probably be what you did earlier today. Breaking someone's heart without a good reason seems pretty mean to me. But it doesn't matter now, because I'm with Alek, and I know he'd never do something like that to me."
"Bull," Jacob said, "he's hurt you before, he'll do it again."
Susannah shook her head. "Have you seen him lately? Something's changed. I don't know what it is, but so long as it's for the better, I don't care."
"You woldn't care either way," Jacob said he didn't know why but her speaking so well of Alek upset, made him jealous when he thought he shouldn't be.
"I'd care." Susannah said. "I might still love him, but I'd care whether or not his actions affected people, and himself, in a good or bad way."
"No you wouldn't," Jacob said. "You wouldn't because he would make it so that you wouldn't, so that nothing he ever did would effect how you saw him."
"Alek wouldn't do that." Susannah said. "He respects my opinion. I can see how you'd come to that conclusion though, since it's obvious Rebecka does it to you all the time."
"No she doesn't," Jacob said a bit unsure. He knew that Alek would do that if he was the way he was when he first move to Forks, and he knew that he was the same as Rebecka but trying to think of Rebecka like that didn't register properly.
Susannah turned so that she faced Jacob. "You've got to make up your mind. Either you're a mean, pretty bad dude, or Rebecka's controlling you like a puppet."
"Neither," Jacob snapped squeezing his eyes shut trying to block out the doubt she was causing.
"What?" Jacob asked sounding annoyed as he opened his eyes.
"You know I'm right." Susannah said.
Jacob looked away again. She was right, but he couldn't admit to her, he could barely even admit it to himself.
