"Is something on your mind?" he asked.
Melanie glanced at him, "Just the reason why I acted so mean." she said then continued looking straight ahead.
"I dont know about the last one," Rebecca said. "I feel like that if I ever move again I'll become who I was before. I think that all this," she pointed to her running mascara, "is you. Your affect on me."

"Then I'll follow you."Zach said softly."Oh, i know why it is. I was trying to push you away." melanie replied, her eyes fixed straight ahead.
"And why is that?" he asked.
"Because..." MElanie thought of how to phrase it. "Because once, I had a freind. We were best friends, and one day she tried to kill me. Almost did, but then I turned." she said.
"Well I wont," he said, "And I will sware on my life I wont."
Rebecca wrapped her arms around Zach's neck, laid her head on his shoulder, then kissed his neck. "I really dont know what I did to deserve you," she said. "You're just, I cant even think of a word that describes how beyond perfect you are. I love you, and dont you ever forget what you've done to me. I have never cried a day in my life before you came along."
Melanie looked at him, disbelief obvious in her eyes, "Another promise I will hold you to." she said."I think...that even if you don't belive youve done anything to deserve me, it's not that you deserve me, but that you needed someone. I'm willing to be that someone." Zach replied.
Rebecca smiled alittle bit into his shoulder then pulled away, "I need to get home my moms gonna be home soon and she said she might have some big news."
Zach nodded, "How about I drive you?" he asked.
Rebecca eyed his car for a moment then looked up at him with a skeptical look in her eyes.
"What? You don't like my car?" ZAch asked, a teasing looko in his eyes.
"Not really," Rebecca laughed. "The only thing similar between me and a Cullen is that we both like fast cars. And I'm gonna guess your's goes about 60-65 at the fastest."{{Sorry it took so long, Im in trouble again, i've got to be sneaky}}

Zach looked at his car fondly, "Yeah, she's a beauty." he said.Melanie thought, "Fine, I'll stop being a jerk to you, and the first thing I'll do is apologize. I really am sorry cathal." Melanie said.
"You dont need to apologize," He said, "You just did what you thought you needed to do. I would have done the same in your place."
Melanie looked at him, "You know, your too nice. I don't deserve a freind like you." Melanie muttered looking away again.
"Nope all I've done is be mean to you, but now, I'm gonna make sure you don't regret it." Melanie promised, half to herself, half to him.
He smiled at her and grabed her hand again.
Melanie smiled back at him, "So have you always lived in this area?" she asked him.
"No I was living in france befor this." He said.
"Really? So you speak french?" she asked him.
"yes," he said, "not much anymore though, I can't remember alot."
Melanie nodded, "I was learning spanish. But then I moved. I don't even know why I would need to learn spanish, unless I do architecture in mexico, but I've never liked their style of architecture." Melanie said.
"Thats cool," he said, "And I never understood mexican buildings anyway," he said.
Melanie laughed, "They are too basic if you ask me. Too...square." she said.
"Right," he said, "Why you think I like my rock, it's so round."
"Your rock has more architectural structure than a maxican building and it was made naturaly." Melanie agreed.
"Actualy I built it myself," he said.
"Really? What do you know about architecture?" Melanie asked, fascinated.
"Nothing, But I know that water will make a rock smaller, so I found a really big rock and used water to make it smaller and round," he said, "Then I used a hamer and chisal and did the inside."
"Very inventive." Melanie comented with a smile.
"Well I was bored for a few hundred years," he said, "it took me about onehundred and fifty years to build."
"So what did you do for shelter until then?" Melanie asked.
"I dough a hole in the ground and covered it with leaves and then I lined it with leaves.
Melanie nodded. "So...why can't I pay you back?" melanie asked. It had been nagging her during the whole conversation.
"Because you can't pay back a gift," he said, "Plus I would never let you."
Melanie graoned, "Fine!" she sighed, relenting.
He smiled, "Why do you want to pay me back so badly?" he asked.
"Because..." Melanie thought. "I could except something small, of little money, you know like most presents are, but this 'present' is just so extravagant, I don't feel right about letting you pay for something like that, especially when I met you when? Yesterday." she explained.
"So," he said, "I told you I can tell you are speacil, and I have this pull to do anything I can for you."
"Well, then let's analyze that. Why?" Melanie asked.

"Well when I first say you, I thought I was seeing her again," he said, "The one person that ever treated me nicely, the only person I ever loved."
"The my wife, though when she was a vampire she didn't remeber me, but she still treated me with kindness untill the day he killed her," he said.
