Zach gasped, "You didn't have to do that, plus I was kinda wondering what he meant by 'dog'." Zach said."Yes." Melanie sighed, "But, it's only cause your older."
"No I held back," he said, "I waited until we almost got her to use my full speed."
"When he said 'dog' he was refering to my other power," she started "I, unlike most witches, can make people fall in love with me," she was speaking very slowly and unsurely now. "That was why you broke up with Star the first time. You were right when you guessed that before. "
"Exactly. Cheater." Melanie said as she waked past him, and onto the campus.Zach stared in wide-eyed horror.
"Did not," he said following her.
Melanie sighed, "Fine." she said relenting, "Good stratagy."
"No it wasn't it was a stratagy as old as I am," he sadi.
Melanie looked at him in confusion, "What?"

The blood left Zach's face. "That's why star hates me? Why she shoved me into a locker?"

"Well, my startagy was to do my best. So I gave it my all." she said.
"I say hold back let the others wear down, and then use your all," he said, "I have never lost that way."
"Yeah, well I win sometimes. You can't win all the time, it brings cockiness." Melanie said.
"I know that I wont all ways win," he said, "I just haven't last yet."
Melanie looked at him, "Whatever." she sighed as she stepped into a room with a sign OFFICE on it.
"ok," he said. He walked up to the person in charge, "I would like to inroll this young lady in your school," he said to them.
"She'll have to wait til next year. You missed the enrollment deadline." the lady replied.
"But yesterday I had no hold on you what so ever you choose out of your own free will. I couldnt hold you because since I fell in love with you my magic weakend. I couldnt hold you no even if I wanted to. But I dont want to," she was rushing to get the words out holding Zachs shoulder. "When ever I start a new school I take control of the hottest guy, or a new hot guy comes to my school I take him. Usually I dont love them but you were different. I didnt think it was possible for me but I actually fell in love, for the first time in my life," tears were building up in her eyes and she started to choke on the words. She stepped forward and leaned her head on his chest as the tears began to stream down her cheeks.

Zach hesatently put his arms around her, holding her to him."I don't know, I have to call the main corporation.' the lady said as she goto on a phone.
"How about one billion," he asked.
Melanie's eyes got wide, "No way." she told the lady "if it's that much i don't want in."The lady was talking on the phone. And held up a finger to ask them to be quiet.
Rebecca sobbed and hugged Zach tightly. "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry for what I've done," she kept repeating into Zachs chest.
The lady hung up "It will be $100 extra since the deadline was only last week." she said.Zach hugged her tightly, "It's ok, it's ok." he said over and over again soothingly.
"ok," he said and wrote a check for &100,000 more than what was needed.
"Ok...she starts in 3 weeks. Sorry for the inconvenience, but since you missed deadline the spots are filled, but in three weeks a few people are sheduled to graduate, so there will be a spot then." the lady said.
Rebecca looked up at Zach, make-up streaming down her face, "I'm sorry," she said again looking into his eyes her eyes swimming.
Zach looked down at her, eyes full of love, "It's ok." he whispered stroking her cheek with the tips of his fingers.
Melanie smiled at the lady. "Thank you." she told her."Your welcome sweetie." the lady said before she turned to pick up a phone.
Melanie turned, and walked out the door, her mind racing.
Rebecca's head fell back to Zach's chest and she sobbed again. "I dont know what I ever did to diserve some as wonderful as you, all I've ever done was hurt and now the most perfect guy in the world who I've probably hurt the most ..." she didn't even know how to finish. She felt like she didnt deserve his forgiveness and yet here she had it.

Zach gently stroked her hair. "What have you done? I'm a guy who was weak enough to leave his girlfriend for someone else without ever even knowing." Zach said feeling extremely guilty.
"So...why did you do it?" Melanie asked. She knew she had asked before, but she just didn't understand it. "All i've done since we met was give you a hard time."

You still loved Star even when I was controling you I felt your love for her. Trust me your love for her was stronger than most."

"But I can't imangine why," she said pulling away from his chest looking down at her feet. Her eyes were puffy and her cheeks had streams of mascara running down them.
Zach gently lifted her chin up, "Because your strong, independent, and deep down are a really good person." he said into her eyes.

Melanie stopped, "So then it makes no sense." she said and after some thought she said, "I'm sorry too, you know, I just..." she stopped. then she continued walking.
"It's ok," he said, "I can see you are a good person at heart," he said.
