"Alright, come on," Rebecca said grabbing his arm to teleport. "Alek's waiting."
"He can wait until I get there." Zach said, snatching his arm back.
"No," Rebecca said. "It has to be done by tomorrow evening so it has to be right away. If we wait he may not be done."
"I'll get there, when I get there." Zach said as he started to walk out of his room. "Where is he?"
"I don't know," Rebecca said. "I was supposed to meet him in the woods but I'm not sure where exactly. Unlike you I can focus on a person to teleport not just a place."
"Well come on," Rebecca said. "We need to go."
"I'm ready!" Zach said. "What else do I need to do other than show up?"
"Just make sure I don't kill him," Rebecca said.
Rebecca teleported and then they were with Alec back at where they were this morning with Rebecka.
Rebecca dropped Zach's hand and was at Alek's side in an instant. "Are you sure you want this?" Rebecca asked to make sure."I am," Alek nodded.
Rebecca turned to Zach. "Swear you'll stop me," she said.
Rebecca nodded and turned back to Alek. "I'm sorry in advanced for this," she told him. Then softly kissed him. Then she bent her head and bit him at his collar bone. She had intended to let go but the taste of the blood was overwhelming and the magic in it mixed with hers and made her more powerful, so she began to drink.
Zach sighed, and roughly pulled her back by the arm.
Rebecca turned and hissed at Zach then realized what happened. She spun back around and caught Alek as he fell to the ground. She knelt down and laid his head in her lap then looked up at Zach. "I took the venom out to quickly," she said her eyes filled with sadness. "And I can't bite him again or I'll probably start feeding again. Please help me."
"Zach if you don't he'll bleed out and die," Rebecca said. "I severed a major artery it won't heal in time.
Zach groaned, and quickly bit Alek. He was gone in seconds, not wanting to have to deal with Rebecca anymore.
It didn't take long for Alek to start screaming from the pain. Rebecca sat with his head in her lap, running her fingers through his hair, all throughout the night.
Zach went home angry, and frustrated and hurt all over again. He punched angry holes in his walls, and used the night to fix them. It was a good distraction.
The next day neither Alek nor Rebecca where in school.
Zach got to school extra early that day since he couldn't stand to stay in his house.
Jacob was just finishing getting ready at the same time Zach was arriving at school.
Susannah had woken up as early as she had the day before, woken up by the same nightmare. She hadn't woken up screaming, which she took as a good sign, but she hadn't been able to sleep, so she was already ready.
"Didn't sleep well again huh?" Jacob observed as they were leaving.
"Nope." Susannah said, her books in her hands.
"It will get better I promise," Jacob said. "Which today?" He asked in front of the garage, referring to the motorcycle or the car.
"It doesn't matter." Susannah said. "Whichever you prefer to drive."
"Well I guess since we took the bike yesterday we can take the car," Jacob said.
Jacob got in the car and through his bag in the seat behind him.
Susannah got in next to him, putting her bag on her feet.
Jacob drove to school and they got there fairly early.
Once they were at the school, Susannah got out of the car.
"Zach's here," Jacob said once he got out of the car.
"So early?" Susannah wondered aloud, already heading in Zach's direction.
"Hey," Jacob said when they net up with Zach. "Sorry about what happened yesterday.
Zach simply shrugged, staring at the dirt floor.Susannah sat next to him, and put an arm around his shoulders.
Jacob sat next to her and took her free hand in his.
Susannah rested her head on Zach's shoulder, trying to comfort him some even if she didn't know what to say, and held Jacob's hand tightly in hers.
"Not to add lemon juice to a paper cut but are you still gonna go to the dance?" Jacob asked.
"Who?" Jacob asked, not knowing who she was.
Zach sighed. "She's an ex girlfriend. She's been hanging around lately, and while it's normally annoying. . .I didn't see any harm in taking her to the dance if that's what she wanted to do."
