"What'd you put on it?" Susannah asked.

"A chocolate hazelnut spread and strawberries," Jacob said hand her the pancake her had prepared.
Susannah took the pancake, and took a hesitant bite.
"So do you want to start getting ready for school?" Jacob asked after all the pancakes were gone.
Jacob got up and started putting the dishes in the sink.
"Why don't you get ready first and let me know when you're dressed and all," Jacob said. "Then I'll get ready."
"Ok." Susannah said. She left and quickly got ready before coming back out to say, "Alright, your turn."
"Great," Jacob said putting away the last dish." Perfect timing." He took a quick shower then go dressed in black jeans, a black t-shirt, and found his black shades. "So do I look like concert security or what?" He laughed coming out of his room when he was done.
Susannah smiled slightly. "Nah, you look great." she said.
Jacob laughed. "Well of course I do," he laughed.
Susannah still smiled, but didn't laugh, like she normally would have.
"Come on lets head out," Jacob said.
Susannah nodded and headed for the door.
Jacob grabbed his stuff and followed her out.
"Which do you like better: geometry or algebra?" Susannah asked, simply to fill the silence since it was giving her too much time to think, and she was tired of thinking about things that were out of her ocntrol.
"I liked algebra just because it was easier, although geometry was okay too," Jacob said.
"I liked Algebra better too. The Proofs in geometry drove me crazy." Susannah said.
"That was definitely a killer," Jacob agreed. "So bike or car?" Jacob asked.
Jacob went into the garage and grabbed the two helmets. He handed Susannah hers and put his on.
{{Srry doing a whole bunch of stuff around my house}}Jacob got on the bike, kick started the engine and waited for Susannah.
((Its ok. I had to go to bed anyway. School's started again, so I'm going to bed earlier))Susannah got on behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist.
Jacob decided to take the long way since they were running ahead of time.
Susannah liked the way the sound of the wind blocked most other sounds. That way she could hear only the beat of Jacob's heart because it meant that at least someone she cared about was still alive.
The path they took was a winding one, and he took each turn at an angle so that the bike would tip then right itself.
Normally the tipping of the bike would have freaked Susannah out so badly she'd be tempted to simply jump off. But after the day she'd had before, a tipping bike didn't seem like the worst thing in the world.
Jacob pulled into school about ten to fifteen minutes laterand they were the first people there.
Still to habit, Susannah jumped off the bike as soon as it stopped.
Jacob got off and hung his helmet on of the handle bars.
Jacob took her hand and walked up to the doors.
Jacob tried the doors but they were locked. "I guess we'll be waiting for someone with a key."
Jacob looked at his watch. "About a half an hour," Jacob said.
"Cool, that's a new record." Susannah said, smiling excitedly for the smallest fraction of a second before her expression dimmed again.
Jacob was glad to see the smile even for just a moment because it meant that she could still be happy.

Jacob leaned next to her and wrapped an arm around her waist.
Susannah started singing quietly under her breath. A song she hadn't sung in years, a song she hadn't had reason to sing in years.
"What song is that?" Jacob asked, not recognizing it.
