Jacob kissed her head and closed his eyes

Susannah started to have a nightmare, and twitched some in her sleep, but it wasn't bad enough to wake her up.
Jacob held her closer to try and calm down her her dream.
Eventually Susannah calmed down and started to sleep peacefully.
Susannah started screaming around dawn, too caught up in another dream to actually wake up.
Jacob woke with a start when he heard her scream and looked around for Adrian and Balthazar momentarily forgetting he had killed then. When he saw her still asleep and realized she was screaming because of a nightmare he calmed down slightly. He gently shook her shoulder, "Susannah honey, you're dreaming. Just wake up and you'll be ok."
Susannah sat up abruptly, looking around, her eyes wide and vulnerable and scared since she'd only just woke up and hadn't had time to put any kind of mask on.
Jacob wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his lap and rubbed her back
Susannah squeezed her eyes shut to prevent herself from crying.
Jacob slowly rocked her back and forth while he continued to rub her back.
After a few minutes, Susannah scooted away from him and stood up.
Susannah shook her head. "Nothing. You've done everything you can." she said.
"Are you sure?" Jacob asked. "It doesn't feel like I have.
"Well you've certainly done everything I can think of." Susannah said. "I don't know what else there is."
"Well since we're up how about breakfast," Jacob suggested since the sun had just risen and there was no point in going back to sleep.
Susannah nodded. "Alright." she said.
Jacob got up and took Susannah's hand and walked to the kitchen.
"So would you like pancakes or waffles?" Jacob asked.
"It doesn't matter." Susannah said. "Whichever is easiest."
Jacob threw the waffles back into the freezer, took out a bowl, some milk, eggs, salt, cinnamon, vanilla extract, lemon juice and baking powder and started making the pancakes.
"You can get the frying pan ready," Jacob said mixing all the ingridients into the pancake mix.
Susannah got a pan, and got it ready.
Jacob got out a ladle and a spatula and fried the pancakes.
"Need any more help?" Susannah asked him.
"You could slice up some strawberries and bananas," Jacob said.
Susannah nodded, and started to slice the strawberries and bananas, glad to have something she had to really focus on. If she was thinking about not chopping off a finger, then she couldn't think about the dream she'd just had or the day before.
After the pancakes were done Jacob took out the syrup and a jar of nutella.
Susannah put the cut up strawberries and bananas in a bowl.
Jacob set everything on the small table aswell as two place settings.
"I'm sorry for snapping at you yesterday." Susannah said.
"You're, like, too forgiving sometimes, you know that?" Susannah commented.
"Well when it comes to you there's nothing else I can do," Jacob said.
"I mean I can't ever be upset with you," Jacob said. "I love you too much."
"I wish I had the ability to be that objective." Susannah said. "I hate it when I snap at you because I feel so badly about it later."
"Well atleast you'll have the comfort of knowing that I'll always forgive you," Jacob said. "I can't thinking anything that I wouldn't be able to forgive and forget when it comes to you."
"I'm sure there's something." Susannah said. "I just hope we never find out what it is."

Susannah's fingers quietly tapped the table as she tried to convince herself she should eat something.
Jacob took a few pancakes and had then with various toppings.
"Here try one like this," Jacob said. He took a pancake spread it with nutella and put strawberries on top.
