"Susannah, I'm glad you're back." her mom said, coming out of the kitchen. "I'm trying this new recipe, and I want to know what you think. And hello, Jacob."

"Come on, you can taste it too. I don't even remember what it's called, but that doesn't matter." Ms. Summers said, walking back into the kitchen."Do you want to try whatever concoction she's made?" Susannah asked him.
"I would," Jacob said then a worried expression came to his face. "But what if she' not your mom," he whispered.
Susannah blinked at him, as if what he was saying didn't make any sense to her. "Of course she's my mom." she said.
"How do we know that she's not Adrian?" Jacob asked.
"Because why would Adrian want to be my mom?" Susannah asked.
"Get close enough to you to finish what her brother started," Jacob said.
"Jacob, now you're being paranoid." Susannah said, not sure who she was trying to convince, him or herself.
"That's better than you being dead," he pointed out.
"I can't just not eat my mothers cooking. Especially when she's been working so hard at it." Susannah said.
"You know what you're right maybe I am just being paranoid," Jacob said.
Susannah nodded and followed her mom into the kitchen.
The kitchen smelled great. Susannah had no idea what it was she was smelling, but she assumed it was coming out of the pot her mom was standing by.
"So what are you cooking Ms. Summers?" Jacob asked.
"It's called. . ." she looked at the recipe. "Ok, in all honesty, I can't pronounce that. Here." she showed him the title of the recipe she held in her hand.
Jacob read it and nodded. "Mind if I have a taste?" He asked.
Ms. Summers nodded. "Sure. Just grab a spoon and try it."
"Thanks," Jacob said pulling a spoon from the drawer. He took a bite and rolled it around in his mouth for a second before swallowing. "That's really good," he said.
"Here, you try it." Ms. Summers said, giving Susannah a spoon.Susannah took a bite, and nodded in agreement. "Good job, mom. I didn't know you could cook stuff like this."
"Neither did I." Ms. Summers said.
"Do you mind if I stay for dinner?" Jacob asked. "This is much better then anything I would be having at home anyway."
"Sure. Just give me thirty more minutes to finish the sides and set everything up." Ms. Summers said.
"Alright thanks," Jacob smiled. {{srry I had to get some work done.}}
((Its alright.))ms.summers went back to cooking.
"You think you could help me with that calculus stuff while we wait?" Jacob asked Susannah.
Jacob went up to her room and sat next to her bed. He took the jars of holy water our of his bag and put them under the bed.
Susannah followed him in. "What are those?" she asked.
"It's some of the holy water we got today," Jacob said. "I'm leaving some here just incase she comes here tomorrow night while I'm out looking for her."
"Oh." Susannah said, sitting next to him.
"That way you'll have some defense while I'm not here," Jacob said sliding the last of the jars he had brought into place next to the others.
"So tomorrow when I'm not here I want you to stay in your room," Jacob said. "Splash everyone who comes in, even me. And if one turns out to be her then douse her with them and call me I'll be here in a moments notice."
"Does that mean there's no way I can convince you to let me come with you?" Susannah asked.
Susannah sighed. "Alright. But be careful." she said.
"Always am," Jacob said. "Alright well now I'm convinced."
"That it's really your mom down stairs," Jacob said. "Since we haven't died due to poisoned dinner."
"So, what didn't you understand about calculus?" Susannah asked.
"Ok. . ." Susanah took out her textbook and started going over the lesson again.
Jacob tried to follow but got confused alot.{{srry had to get some stuff done.}}
((its ok))Susannah tried to explain things as slowly and completely as she could.
Jacob began to get a few of the simpler concepts.
