"It's not," Rebecca said. "I tried so hard not to but I couldn't help it anymore. When I left school when I was avoiding you I was trying to protect you. I didn't mean for anyone to get hurt I swear."

Jacob came up just after Susannah laughing aswell.

[Cielo]

"I'm not sure, but I think some dead guy once said something along the lines of 'the biggest mistakes are often the ones with the best intentions' or something like that." Zach said, then he turned to leave.

"Did you plan that?" Susannah asked.

[Nymronyn]

"No," Jacob said wiping the water from his eyes.

"Zach please," Rebecca begged. "I'm afraid."

[Cielo]

"Well it was hilarious. Can only imagine what it would have looked like on the outside." Susannah said, pushing her hair out of her eyes.

"Afraid of what?" Zach asked, turning around. "I don't see what you could possibly have to be afraid of when everyone else is afraid of you."

[Nymronyn]

"You're right, everyone's afraid of me, myself included," Rebecca said. "I'm afraid of hurting someone again."

"That would definitely be a funny sight," Jacob laughed.

[Cielo]

Zach sighed, the effort of keeping himself distanced from her already wearing him down. "And how am I supposed to do anything to help you?" he asked.

Susannah smiled, and splashed him.

[Nymronyn]

Jacob splashed back.

Rebecca shook her head. "I don't know," she said quietly.

[Cielo]

Susannah laughed and splashed him again.

"I have to go." Zach said quietly, then turned and left without any hesitation.

[Nymronyn]

Rebecca curled up on the bed, pulled the covers over her head and didn't move after that.

Jacob picked up Susannah and tossed her a couple of feet.

[Cielo]

Zach didn't go home. Instead, he ran in circles around Susannah's house, fast enough that her mother wouldn't see him if she looked outside. He wanted to be there when she got home so he could apologize.

Susannah came up laughing and pushed him into the water.

[Nymronyn]

Jacob took her feet and pulled her under again.

[Cielo]

Susannah pushed on his shoulders to push herself back up above the water, pushing him down in the process.

[Nymronyn]

Jacob swam to the surface and came up laughing.

[Cielo]

Susannah smiled at him when he came up, then splashed him.

[Nymronyn]

Jacob wrapped his arms around her and held her tight so she couldn't splash anymore.

[Cielo]

"Hey, no fair!" Susannah said, laughing.

[Nymronyn]

"Oh well," Jacob laughed.

[Cielo]

Susannah stopped fighting. "Alright, you win!" she surrendered.

[Nymronyn]

Jacob laughed and let go of Susannah. "Of course I do," he said. "I'm me."

[Cielo]

Susannah stuck her tongue out at him playfully.

[Nymronyn]

Jacob stuck his toung out in reply.

((It's ok, I was taking a shower anyway))

Susannah laughed, and said, "Enjoy the feeling of winning while it lasts."

[Nymronyn]

"I think I will," Jacob said. "And I think I'll quit while I'm ahead." He climbed out of the water and laid in the grass next to the pond to dry off some before he got dressed.

[Cielo]

Susannah got out and laid down next to him. "Sounds smart." she said.

[Nymronyn]

Jacob smiled and wrapped his arm around her.

[Cielo]

Susannah rested her head against his shoulder.

[Nymronyn]

Jacob played with the ends of her hair.

[Cielo]

"This was much better than going to school." Susannah said.

[Nymronyn]

"Definitly," Jacob said.

[Cielo]

"You know, technically you'd have to let me out of your sight in order for me to go to school." Susannah pointed out.

[Nymronyn]

"We'll see about that," Jacob said.

[Cielo]

"Is there anything I can do to convince you that you don't have to follow me around all the time?" Susannah asked.

[Nymronyn]

"Let me kill Rebecca," Jacob said.

[Cielo]

"Other than that?" Susannah asked.

[Nymronyn]

"No nothing else," Jacob said.

[Cielo]

Susannah sighed. "I just don't want you to worry about it." she said.

[Nymronyn]

"Susannah I love you so much the thought of you just tripping and hurting your wrist worries me so much I feel sick," Jacob said. "You were attacked and tortured by a vampire and there is no certainty that she wont attack you again. I'm not worried I'm terrified."

[Cielo]

"Don't be." Susannah said, touching his face gently with the back of her hand. "You're not responsible for me, Jacob. Things are going to happen that niether of us will be able to control. You can't control the world, Jacob. I don't want you hurting yourself by trying to."

[Nymronyn]

"I'd rather I get hurt than you," Jacob said putting a hand on her cheek.

[Cielo]

Susannah sighed. "Well try not to." she said, out of arguments since she couldn't think of anything to say to change his mind.

[Nymronyn]

Jacob shook his head then put his head against hers. "I don't want to," he said.

[Cielo]

"I mean try not to hurt yourself." Susannah said. "Not because of me."

[Nymronyn]

"I know that's what you meant," Jacob said. "But if something were to happen to you and the only way to protect you involved me getting hurt I wouldn't want to try and keep myself safe. I'd only want you safe."

[Cielo]

Susannah sighed. "You, Jacob Black, are difficult. But I wouldn't want you any other way." she said, deciding to drop the subject, at least for the moment.

[Nymronyn]

"That I am," Jacob said. "But you have your difficult moments too and I wouldn't have you any other way."

[Cielo]

"Like when?" Susannah asked.

[Nymronyn]

"Like now when you won't let me kill Rebecca," Jacob said.

[Cielo]

"Ok, I'll give you that one." Susannah said. "I guess that counts as difficult."

[Nymronyn]

"It does," Jacob said. "But that doesn't matter because no matter what I will always love you with all my heart." then he kissed her lovingly.

[Cielo]

Susannah kissed him back just as lovingly.
