Susannah had completely forgotten about it. She reached up to touch it, and when she felt it she started crying again, pulling away from him and viciously scratching at the carving, reopening the cuts as she tried to erase Rebecca's name with her nails.

Jacob grabbed her wrists to stop her from scratching the cuts. He pulled her into the bathroom, wet a washcloth with hot water and lightly dabbed at the cuts. "If you leave them alone they won't scar," he said. "Now what happened her."
Breathing heavily as she calmed down again and tried to catch her breath, Susannah retold everything that had happened at Rebecca's house.
Jacob wrapped his arms around Susannah and held her tightly. "I am going to tear her apart," he snarled.
Susannah wrapped her arms around him too, and shook her head. "Don't do that do Zach." she said.
"It don't think I need to," Jacob said. "I don't think it's his fault what's he's doing. But I will kill Rebecca."
"That's what I mean. Killing Rebecca will hurt Zach. Don't so that to him." Susannah said.
"Well she's not going to get away with it," Jacob said.
"Becaus of this," Jacob said. He turned her around to face the mirror and tilted her head slightly so 'Rebecca' was visible. "And this." He lifted her arm infront of her to show the cut from the letter opener.
"It's just...she's not just a vampire, Jacob. She's also a really powerful witch. Not a vampire you can just chase down. She-she scares me, and I don't want you to do anything stupid." Susannah said.
"I can't just let her do this to you and not have consequences," Jacob said.
"She'll have the consequence that she lost my friendship today. She'll have the consequence that when - if - she ever let's Zach go, I doubt he'll be very happy. She'll have the consequence that her friends just dropped by half. Can't we leave it at that?" Susannah said.
Jacob shook his head. "That isn't enough for what she did to you."
"Jacob, there's no need to risk you getting hurt." Susannah said.
Jacob sighed. "Fine," he said. "But you should atleast lie down and try to get some rest.
"...I don't know if I'll be able to sleep." Susannah said, afraid of revisiting what had happened in her dreams.
"Well it won't hurt to try," Jacob said. "I'll stay with you even."
"Ok..." Susannah said, a little doubtfully, but she crawled into bed and laid her head on the pillow anyway.
Jacob laid down next to her a lightly rubbed her back
Susannah tried to sleep without much success.
Jacob wrapped his arms around her waist.
Susannah had fallen asleep for five minutes before she was jolted awake by the image of the agiel right by her face.
During the short while Susnnah had been sleeping Jacob slipped out to get Rebecca.Rebecca had just gone out to meet up with Zach.
It took susannah fifteen minutes of looking around her head and her room before she was convinced that there wasnt an agiel in her room. only then did she realize jacob wasnt there.zach had caught a deer and was on his way to meet rebecca.
Rebecca waited just inside the woods near her house for Zach.
It was unlike Jacob to just leave without saying goodbye. She glanced at the clock, and decided it wasn't too late to stop by his house and make sure everything was alright, so she grabbed a jacket and her moms car keys.Zach ran up right next to her with the deer. "Here you go, my love." he said.
"Thank you," Rebecca said giving him a kiss on the cheek.Jacob walked up in human form.
Rebecca was alarmed but not surprised by Jacobs presence. "Jacob," she acknowledged. "If you don't mind I would like to drink before we get this over with."
Jacob nodded.
Susannah drove to Jacob's house and knocked on the door. Zach stood by Rebecca protectively.
Rebecca drained the deer quickly not wanting to to prolong the inevitable. Billy opened the door. "Hello Susannah," he said. "Is there something I can help you with?"
Zach stood silently beside her, watching Jacob closely."I just wanted to make sure everything was ok." Susannah said.
"I'm fine thanks," Billy said a bit confused.Once rebecca was done with the deer she turned to Jacob. "Well come on then," she said.
Jacob raised a confused eyebrow. "You do realize I'm here to kill you right?" He asked.
Rebecca nodded.
"Ok. I was just checking." Susannah said. When he said that, Zach stepped in front of Rebecca.
A growl rolled through Jacobs throat.Rebecca put a hand on Zachs shoulder. "It's okay," she said quietly.
"Is there anything else I can help you with?" Billy asked.
Zach stepped away."No. Well, on second thought, can you tell Jacob that next time he leaves and I've fallen asleep, if he could wake me up or leave a note or something? I was worried something might be wrong since he doesn't normally just leave without telling me." Susannah said.
"Well Jacob's not here at the moment, but I'll be sure to tell him when he gets home," Billy said."Jacob I am sorry about what I did to Susannah," Rebecca said.
"Don't care," Jacob responded.
"I stopped didn't I?" Rebecca argued. "I didnt kill her."
"No but you cut her up like a piece of meat and used that thing on her."
"Alright, thank you. Have a good evening, Mr. Black." Susannah said.Zach watched from the sidelines, extremely worried about Rebecca.
Susannah smiled, and then headed home.
Rebecca tried to take the spell off of Zach before anything happened with Jacob but couldn't. "Alright let's do this," she said.Jacob shrugged, kicked off his shoes and shifted.
Zach couldn't keep himself from running to Rebecca's side.
Jacob lunged at Rebecca and she did nothing to stop him, nor did she plan to.
Jacob stopped. He wasn't going to hurt Zach. As far as he was concerned Zach was innocent.
Zach stood protectively in front of Rebecca.
"What are you doing?" Rebecca only half asked.
"I am protecting you. He wants to try to hurt you, Rebecca!" Zach said.
"I know he does Zach," Rebecca said.
"Then you understand what I'm doing." Zach said, not moving.
"I do," Rebecca said. "But I don't want you to.
