"And how exactly does she plan to do that if you guys don't want to be mord sith?" Zach asked.

"We have our ways," Cara said. "Lets move!" She ordered."I'm not going any where," Rebecca said through her teeth.
"She doesn't want to go. You guys have got to learn to take no for an answer." Zach said.
"But 'no' isn't an answer we like," Cara said, nodding to the other mord sith who was right behind Zach. The mord sith drew her agiel."Stop," Rebecca cried. "I'll come."
"Rebecca, you don't have to if you don't want to." Zach said reasonably.
Rebecca saw the mord sith move the agiel slightly closer and stiffened slightly. "It's ok, I'll go." She said. "What a smart girl," Cara said. "Now both of you start walking."
Zach rolled his eyes and started walking. He really hated the mord sith.
Rebecca looked at the mord sith that had been behind Zach as she put the agiel away then flited to Zachs side and took his hand.
Zach closed his hand around hers. He hated the mord sith. And he had strong hopes things would be ok - they weren't completely stupid, but he also couldn't help but be worried, and a little scared.
Cara led them to a huge tower far from town and led them down several stories underground. They separated Rebecca from Zach. She was put in a cell with Susannah he in one with Jacob.
Zach walked without any further comment.
"So, how'd you end up here?" Zach asked conversaionally to Jacob.Susannah looked up at Rebecca as soon as she came in. "Rebecca, do you know what they want with us?" she asked. Try as she might, she also couldn't hide the fear in her eyes.

"They want to make us like them," Rebecca said to Susannah."They brought Susannah and I here," Jacob said. "Any idea what they want from her?"
"How are they going to do that?" Susannah asked.Zach shrugged. "I don't know. I'm only here because they wanted to bring Rebecca here. I think they said..." Zach's eyes widened as a confused understanding came over his face, "I think they said they wanted to make both Susannah and Rebecca one of them." he finished, his eyes focusing back on Jacob.
"No," Jacob breathed."I don't know for sure, but i have my suspicions," Rebecca siad.
"But what does that mean? I still haven't figured it out." Zach said, Jacob's reaction making him worried.Susannah wanted to know what those suspicions were, but knew she would be better off if she didn't so she stayed quiet.
"What it meas is that they're going to make Rebecca and Susannah just like them. Heartless and masochistic killers. And they'll make Susannah a vampire," he said as if it was the worse part.
Zach closed his eyes and banged his head on the wall of their cell hard enough that it would have broken a humans skull. "We're screwed." he said.
"You said it," Jacob said laying back on the floor.After about an hour Rebecca was moved to a different cell.
"Do you...do you know what they do? What they could possibly do to anyone that would make them so cold?" Zach asked, his voice barely audible.Susannah sat in her cell, curled in a ball in a corner.
"No," Jacob said, "but I'd bet it has to do with those things they have, those sicks."Starting the next morning Rebecca's life turned into a living h**l. Every day she was 'trained' for hours. In other words tortured beyond all resonable belief.
Cara did the same to Susannah, and at night the rat came and nibbled at her feet.
During the day's Jacob and Zach were also separated.
Zach's thoughts of what could be happening to Rebecca or Susannah became his own, silent, self-inflicted tourture.After a while, Susannah didn't even scream or cry most of the time. She was just a shell of the girl she'd been before they had stuck her in that cell.
Rebecca had long since stopped screaming at the touch of the agiel but she kept a part of her mind closed to them where she escaped at night where she kept who she was and was able to keep from losing herself.When they found who would be easier to break they began to 'train Jacob al they needed from him was to say what they wanted him to but when he didn't they settled for him to say silent when they spoke to him.
One night several weeks after they were brought Cara left an agiel in Susannah's cell. "If you get tired of the rats," she said, "you can always stop them."
Susannah stared at the agiel in horror, and scooted as far from it as she could. She hated the thing, and didn't want to touch. Ever. No matter what.
As soon as Cara left the rats came to torment Susannah.
Susannah couldn't help it. She'd spent so long not crying, telling herself it wasn't worth it, but right then she was scared. More scared then ever before, because she knew that the way to end the torment by rats was sitting just a few feet away, and she was tempted to use it, and that scared her more than anything yet. So, she let go of her mental restraints, and cried.
Rebecca heard the crying through the wall and found a crack. "Susannah?" She whispered through the crack.
"Rebecca?" Susannah answered. She hadn't heard any of her friends voices in so long, that just made her cry harder. She was starting to lose hope, and that scared her too.
"Shhh Susannah," Rebecca said said weakly, she was starving.
"Why?" Susannah whispered back. "What's the point? It's not going to stop them."
"Yes it will," Rebecca said. "If they think that it's working, and that you're losing your humanity they'll finish."
"Fine." Susannah said. Then she sat, and collected her thoughts. She wanted to get out. She had to get out. She had to see her mom, she had to see Zach, got to school...Jacob. She could imagine his face as if he was sitting next to her. And then she formed the resolve that should would get out of that damn cell no matter what. So, without thinking about it much, she took the agiel, and killed all the rats.
The next morning Trianna walked into Susannah's cell, saw all the dead rats, then quietly turned and walked back out. A few minutes later Cara came in. "Well done," she said clapping her hands. "I think you're almost ready to fully become one of us, sister."
Susannah smiled. It wasn't her old smile though...it was the smile of one of them. It scared her that only have of the smile was fake. But she tossed those feelings to the side and said, "I think I'm finally starting to understand what that means."((G2G, night))
"You just might," Cara said with satisfaction. "Now that you've passed the first test, you only have one more before you're turned into a vampire and officially become one of us."
"It's simple enough," Cara said leading Susannah to a doorway across the hall from her cell. "It's almost the same thing you did last night. You just have to kill something not worth the air that it breathes."
Susannah didn't like the sound of that, but she didn't let it show as she said, "Ok. Sounds simple enough."
Cara smiled and unlocked Susannah's radihan. "Use anything you need," she said handing her an agiel. "Now are you ready to see what you have to kill."
Susannah shrugged as if it wouldn't matter what it was, but inside she was freaking out. If she couldn't do it, they would send her back to that horrible cell. Instead, all she said was, "Sure."
Cara unlocked the door and pushed it open. Jacob jumped at the sound of the door and swung to see Susannah in the doorway with an agiel in her hand. His eyes widened at sight of her, afraid that it was to late and that she was one of them.
"You just have to kill a worthless werewolf," Cara said.
Susannah's blood ran cold. She wouldn't couldn't do this. But then again she suspected she wouldn't be able to do what they wanted her to. So, instead, she decided that if she could just surprise them a little, then she would take it as a small victory. She made her face look cold and calculating as she held the agiel in her hand, and took a step towards Jacob.
Jacob backed up slowly but wouldn't say a word, not with Cara there.
As Susannah saw Jacob back away, she realized maybe she was a better actress than she thought if he was believing any of this. Once she was about three feet away from Jacob, she turned to look at the mord sith. Her eyes flashed red, and one of the mord sith's legs caught on fire. That was a complete accident, but not one she regretted as she threw the agiel at the mord sith's feet and said. "I won't do it."
Cara had expected as much of Susannah. "Before you decide that you should just know that Jacob offered anything just for us to let him go. He said that he would leave you just to get out of here," Cara lied smoothly. "But we take care of our sisters and betrayal is one thing that we don't tolerate and so we refused his request."
Susannah was slightly hurt by the words, but said, "So? It doesn't matter. I will not become a murderer, no matter who it is, or what they did."
"Fine then." Cara shrugged. "That's really a shame I guess it's back to training.""No," Jacob growled.
"Shut up dog," Cara said.
"I dog I am indeed," Jacob responded quietly then he began to tremble, about to shift, "because you took off my radihan in order to 'make it more interesting' as if I'd shift to fight Susannah." Only a second later he was wolf, much thiner and with a duller coat then before but still huge. He barked loudly and stepped in front of Susannah.
Susannah was able to focus on Jacob now that she didn't have to pretend to the mord sith. She also noticed that he didn't look very good, even as a wolf. She didn't know what the mord sith had done to him, but whatever it was, it couldn't have been in good conditions, and she hated the mord sith all over again...though she'd never stopped hating them either.
Jacob growled as Cara and Trianna stepped forward.
