"Why? How? I thought she was in the tree." Caleb said, confused.

"Yeah I thought I should probably explain some things. I know that you know about vampires, but theres a lot more. For one thing the reason I have no choice in the matter of loving Susannah, the reason I said it was as if loving her was in my DNA."
"Yeah, explain that to me." Caleb said.
"The reason is because I'm a werewolf, and we imprint we sort of just see someone and we know they're like our perfect soul mate."
"And what about the other person? Do they have a choice?" Caleb asked. That was a confusing new development.
"No she doesn't, which brings us to the complicated part. I've imprinted twice. On Kahlan, the one whose imprinted on me, and on Susannah."{{srry, I had no Internet for a little while}}
"How is that possible? The word soulmate reffers to the persin your ment to be with, right? Well, take it apart, you have soul, being you, and mate, being the person your meant to be with. But, the word mate, even the word soulmate, reffers to one person, so how is it you've imprinted twice?" Caleb asked.

"And what you said to her about not being over the fact that we couldn't be together without risking her life I realized the other day. I told her to call you and ask her out, so that she could have someone who loved her, almost as much as i do."
"So she only asked me out because you told her to?" Caleb asked.
"Well I didn't tell her to persay. I mention that you liked her, which she was completely oblivious of, and told her that you seemed like a nice guy. Thats all."
"She was completely oblivious? Seriously? I did everything I could think of to tell her without actually telling her." Caleb said in complete disbelief.
Jacob shrugged. "Maybe you were a little too subtle."
"I would have looked stupid if I had told her when I knew she still had a boyfriend." Caleb pointed out.
"You didn't know when you first met her," Jacob pointed out. "and at the time she hadn't been. She only became my girlfriend the day before you asked her out."
"I didnt have the guts then." Caleb said. "Especially since she'd never showed that she thought of me any other way than as a friend."

"Wait I'm confused. Do you not know as in you cant remember, or as in you don't understand?" Christain asked.
"Well in all fairness she thought that you didn't think of her as any more then a friend."
"Whatever. I don't really feel like talking about that right now." Caleb said.

Jacob nodded as they neared the place he'd left Susannah.
Susannah heard branches breaking and leaves crunching, so she went towards the noise. When she saw Caleb she ran up to him and gave him a hug. "I'm glad you're alright." she said."Why would't I be?" Caleb asked.

"Rebecca," Jacob explained. "She was thirsty."
Christain groaned. "I don't like to dance." he complained."Why didnt you tell me that in the first place?!" Caleb asked.
"i dont care!!!!!" she said making him dance with her
Christain sighed, but didnt complain since it seemed pointless.
"She did try to warn you," Jacob said. "But you for some reason didn't understand what she was telling you."

"I thought Susannah was still in the tree. Was I supposed to just leave her there with a hungry vampire?" Caleb said.Christain couldnt help but smile too.
forever grinned and started to dance a diffrent dance that no one in the modern age knew even existed
"What are you doing?" Christain asked.
"A werewolves teeth can tear through the skin of a vampire," Jacob said. "My job is to make sure that vampires dont kill any humans."
"So? What are you talking about?" Caleb asked. How was that even remotely related to the conversaion?

"If Susannah were up there Rebecca wouldn't have even gotten close enough to hurt her."
"How long ago was that?" Christain asked."Yeah, because I knew that at the time?" Caleb said.
"so long ago nobody not even i remember the name to it" she said smiling
Christain stopped dancing. "Ok, that's enough dancing to last me the rest of my life." he said.
"I didn't say you were supossed to know," Jacob said. "But anyway I guess I'll go and let u guys get back to your date."
"Bye." Susannah said."See you later." Caleb said.
Jacob hugged Susannah and nodded at Caleb. "See you guys around," he said. Then walked of into the woods, but didn't go far before jumping up into a tree just to make sure that Susannah was in no danger.
Susannah and Caleb continued walking.
