The book I have written is titled "Swept" and you can find it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Swept-Trilogy-e...I know the reviews showcase the sex in the book, but there is more to the story than JUST sex, I promise!
Hi All- My name is Jennie Marts and I am new to the group. I have been seriously writing for the last five years and reading since I could pick up a book! I write romantic comedy/mystery because I like a story to have a happy ending, a little romance, and to keep you guessing. I live in Colorado, have big hair, a big laugh and a big heart! I love to discuss books and am in a book club that likes to laugh and usually only half of us have even purchased the book. :)My first book came out in Dec of 2012. Love for you to check it out! Nice to meet you all!

A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty andhe said no.
She asked him if he would want to be with her forever and
he said no. She then asked him if she were to leave would he cry, and once
again he replied with a no.
She had heard enough. As she walked away, tears streaming down her face the boy grabbed her arm and said....
"You're not pretty, you're beautiful. I don't want to be with you forever. I NEED to be
with you forever. And I wouldn't cry if you walked away...I'd die"

Hello all. I'm Brittny, though I go by Brit or Tealya. I am both a writer and reader. Currently, I'm finishing up the editing on my first novel and just starting to get the website going (http://kithrynmythrin.com). It's been a long road to get to this point, but I''m hoping to have the book out in August an available as an ebook on smashwords. As for reading, I like sci-fi and fantasy primarily, but I will read most anything so long as it is not offensive. I would like to read more independently published books, hence the reason for joining this group. If you would like to make a suggestion, just send me a message. I could always use more books on my to-read stack.
I am a Bangkok based PI and have recently published my first detective fiction 'Bangkok Rules' and am learning my way around Goodreads. This looks like my kind of group. Hello to all of you.
Hello everyone. Not a writer but an avid reader. I have a number of ideas floating around in my head for possible short stories but haven't found the time to put it down on paper and develop them. Currently going through a science-fiction phase (again), but my likes touch many genres.
Hey guys. I'm new here. I'm a fairly new author, and I'm just now diving into the marketing scene for my new novel, Sanctuary. I'm strictly an indie writer, so much so that I've formed an indie imprint/publisher with some writer friends of mine called www.the4threalm.com, where we also have an online writer's group (on our forums) where we edit/critique and do what we can to help each other out.
But, I'm happy to be part of this group now and I'm looking forward to making even more writer friends!
Hi My name is Cyndi I am new to goodreads! I do not write books but I love to read! I am very excited to get to know and read from new authors!
Hi,I wrote "Odyssey through Hell" you can find it in Kindle. It relates to my personal 15 year industrial quest of whilst searching for the proverbial pot of gold, I found something else much more valuable.
I'm currently working on a new nonfiction, more businessy kinda project. I love reading and for now, I'm spending most of my time both on my dayjob and researching for the new project, which happens to be the same!
Hi, Everyone--My name is Brijit Reed and I'm both an author and a reader. I usually read and write about history or historic events and I love doing research, learning new things (or old!) and writing about them. My background is in anthropology and my first book, adapted from one of my screenplays, is about the controversial 18th Dynasty Pharaoh, Akhenaten.
Thank you for providing this forum, Vincent, and I look forward to expanding my horizons with everyone on here!

Hello everyone,My name's Marie and I write in two different genre's: one is fantasy where my focus is fallen angels/demons and the other, humorous memoirs about the perils of trying to bring up a family while living on an English Narrow Boat.
I'm published by Accent Press who, to date, haven't come up with the idea that I should combine my two interests and I really hope it never occurs to them.
I'm looking forward to meeting with and chatting to all the other story tellers on here.
Hello everyoneMy name is Shane KP O'Neill and I am the writer of The Dracula Chronicles, a new series that adds a very new dimension to the Dracula legend and which sees a return of the darker, more traditional vampire. The books are quite epic in scope and are categorised as dark, Gothic horrors. However, they are much more than that. Each book is an historical adventure, a romantic tragedy, a tale of paranormal fantasy and romance, with a lot of erotica and dark erotica added to the chilling premise and undertones.
This project has been with me over 20 years. Away from it I love travel, reading, sports, board games, long walks in nature.
As a traveller I have seen much of the world and lived in many countries. My favourite place is New York City and the destinations I long most to see that I haven't would be Rome in Italy and the Balkan countries where my stories are based.
As a reader I love the work of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, James Herbert, Anne Rice, Carlos Ruis Zafon, Jeffrey Archer and James Patterson.
The sports I love would be football, cricket, boxing, rugby union and American football. I love playing board games with the family, though I played scrabble internationally for a few years.
Though I am originally from Ireland, these days I live back in the UK after many years overseas.
I look forward to meeting and to getting to know many of you over time. I hope this gives you some idea of who I am. Best wishes.
Shane
I'm the author of Dancing with Statues - a mixture of mystery and love story set in Bogotá and Ireland. It's available from Amazon in paperback and kindle versions.I recommend it for anyone interested in seeing a fresh perspective of Northern Ireland and Colombia. The book does not shy away from each country's troubled past but it does show how far they have come in recent years.
As one reviewer writes:
"Fast-paced book, beautifully written, great story, and interesting to learn more about Troubles in Northern Ireland and in Colombia. Loved reading this book and look forward to the author's next book -- hopefully soon! Truly an enjoyable read."
I was born in Northern Ireland and I now split my time between Colombia and London so I'm always interested in books set in Ireland as they help bring me home.

Hello, I'm Suzette from Atlanta, GA. Reading has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I would love to take writing classes someday and have my name on a beautiful cover. Little known secret about me...I can't read more than one book at a time. I must immerse myself in it so I have to be focused. ;-)
Hi,I'm Toni - I'm a reader and I'm lucky enough to be a writer as well. I'm finding my way in the new e-book revolution (ie., the wild west of publishing) and I'm enjoying every minute!
I read dark, issues related fiction, but I do like a light/flirty or dark/sexy romance, so my own books tend to be an interesting combination.
I live in New Zealand with my husband-to-be, my son, two dogs, two goldfish and a new kitten! My youngest son lives away from home and is studying to be a musician. We think creativity must run in the family, because I sing in a band as well... That doesn't leave a lot of time for just sitting around, so as much as I love reading, I don't get through as many books a year as I would like.
So many books, so little time!
I'm looking forward to connecting with other readers and with writers.
Toni :-)
Hello Vincent, I'm pleased I found this group. Generally I write historical fiction and my books include The Widow Makers and The Widow Makers:Strife the first two books in a trilogy based in the 19th century. Freya 800 AD a Viking era fiction was published 2012. The latest novel is a contemporary psychological thriller, Kate's Secret. At the moment a goodreads giveaway. At present I am finishing The last book in the Widow Makers trilogy. I write for several magazines, this is something of a hobby as I enjoy the practicalities of constructing a tale in less than 2,000 words. I am a goodreads author. I love meeting readers and never miss an opportunity to talk at clubs, libraries and groups of all kinds. Thank you again for the opportunity to join this group.

I am 41 years old. I am an mother of two. My daughter Angel is 20 and my son Jonathan is 18. They are both doing great in school. But whom I am most proud of is Author Rusty Nugent. He works hard on his Moonwarriors Series. Here is a little bit about the second book. "Thirteen sixty-three. The werewolf warrior Stytentos is jaded and disillusioned, living in a monastery in Nepal. His outlook on life has changed since the humans turned on his people and began hunting them to the point of extinction. As mass hysteria took over Dacia, lycanthropes and humans alike were burned at the stake, accused of being werewolves “in league with the Devil” by the self-righteous and power-hungry Catholic Church. Stytentos is attempting to rebuild his life in the aftermath of the darkest chapter of his people’s existence: The Burnings. So when an old friend long dead appears to him in a dream, asking for him to fight the vampire threat and save the world, he wants no part of it. Eventually, he gives in and his quest leads him on an adventure that will take him around the globe, throughout the centuries until present day. Modern America and the rest of the world have forgotten the old ways, as vampires and werewolves live, fight and die in secret. Nestafil, the vampire leader, plots to unleash his nosferatean army on the human populace and enslave the werewolves. Stytentos must once again learn how to let people get close to him. And the clock is ticking. Will he learn the true identity of who murdered the Volknor family? Can the werewolves destroy the vampires once and for all? It’s a showdown to the finish as the fate of humankind hangs in the balance."
Hello Vincent. My name is Kathy Davis and I have been a passionate reader and writer all my life. I have a book listed on Amazon.com and Goodreads called "Life in the Orient" which took me over 20 years to publish. I am self-published and want and need exposure and reviews. I currently have 11 five-star reviews at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008VHNGXC
(Amazon.com for kindle). Thank you for giving me a platform that will allow me to get closer to achieving my goal of becoming a bestselling author.
My name is Brandon Mahoney. I am a new author who is working on living out a dream. I did not write much when I was in school. I never went to college or took advanced writing classes. I have learned a lot of reading and just plain ole writing. I currently have two books out on Amazon that are ok for starter books. I know I can write better than that. I have learned so much from writing them that I know my third book will be much better off for it. I am currently just trying to find a following for my books. I joined Goodreads to learn from others and to connect to people. I believe it will help me become a better writer.Brandon Mahoney

Hello Everyone, I am Troy CLE, the author of the Marvelous World series. I am published by Simon and Schuster and Random House. I wrote my book series because I was inspired by the movie "The Goonies" when I saw it as a little kid. I then found that my novels brought diversity to YA fantasy. I have had the honor of being featured by The New Your Times, ABC News, and PBS along with speaking at Harvard and UCLA about my books. I am happy to join this group and look forward to meeting lots of readers and authors.

My name is Barbara, I love reading but am a little old fashioned and love to actually hold a book in my hand. I am looking to getting to know this site and how it works and steer my way around it. Hi all,
I'm Julie, a teacher and avid reader. I just self-published my Christian testimony, Finding God, Creating Me at Smashwords. It's free...not looking to make money on it; I just want to share it. If anyone is interested, I would love feedback/review/rating. I've had family (husband a former English teacher but he's a bit partial :) ) and friends read it and would like outside opinions. It's my first longer piece to complete and publish although I do write short stories and devotions on occasion. I'm currently working on my next book which will be a Bible study. I'm new here at Goodreads. My 11th grade son who loves to read and write introduced me to the site. I'm looking forward to learning my way around.
Thanks,
Julie

Hi everyone. I'm Mirta. I've been on Goodreads for a couple of months and am just trying to get a handle on the various groups and all the amazing information that is being provided. I wrote a Creative non-Fiction (aka a memoir) after fifty-odd years of explaining my Jewish faith, my Argentine culture and my Russian ancestors. I probably could have written a completely separate novel about my transatlantic romance, but I think I did a good job incorporating the material into one solid book! I love history and genealogy; romance and adventure. I think my book is a great mix of these things...a little bit "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" mixed with "Are you there God? It's me, Margaret" and a dash of "I Remember Mama". You can read a "Sneak Peak" on Indies Unlimited: http://www.indiesunlimited.com/?s=Wit...
Or you can find some interesting info and photos on my F/B: www.facebook.com/withlovetheargentina...
Thank you and see ya' around GR

Hey everyone. Maham here from Muscat, Oman.Love reading. Love writing. But it's all very low key and stilted right now, me being a full time journalism student and all.
So excited to interact with like minded readers here. And read works by coming out authors like yourselves.
Can't wait.
Cheers. :D
When I first saw this group, I thought Authors, it's going to be all Authors.I see now, at least via introduce yourself, I'm right.
Title and genre.
A Stone’s Throw Away, by Carl Lee (if you’d like, copy and paste title and author into your browser together for further info)
Post-Apocalyptic Sci-fi Adventure Thriller (coining a new genre lol)
Didn’t leave any room for romance in there, but if you believe romance is the process of getting there. Then yes, there’s Romance
Short Book Blurb
Brian, a loner, ends up at the Research Center as an apprentice.
There, he makes the discovery of a lifetime, one that will make him famous, except he walks away because of a personal issue and tells no one.
He ends up apprenticing with the eccentric Chief Henry, in security.
While working in this vocation, Brian makes an even greater discovery, one he hides from everyone.
But once this genie is out of the bottle, he can’t and won’t put it back.
My cent and a half: Though I believe millions will concur, no different than thanking a Military vet for their service, I thank every reader for their efforts in furthering the literary arts.
Thanks for considering my work.
