My name is Robin Watt. I have published an e-book, but still consider myself learning the trade. I have been a technical writer for many years, but creative writing is so different - so much to learn. My e-book - Moon of the Hawk is basically a fictional response to a true event - probably like most beginning authors. But I have begun several other ventures and I recently joined a writer's group to learn more about my craft!
Hello everyone! My name is Sandra and I am an author of many genres. My newest release
is available through B&N online and on shelf and Amazon, Borders, Target, and on my publishers site at http://www.insearchoftheuniversaltrut... and I can also provide signed copies myself if you'd like to purchase through me.
My name is April Aasheim. I keep a blog detailing my whacky adventures as a suburban housewife. I also write books. Theres something very satisfying to sinking into a novel, both reading and writing them. I love to get lost in a good story.
My first book "The Universe is a Very Big Place" is a quirky, modern day love story. I am also currently working on a book about siblings who happen to be Witches. Think Practical Magic meets Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood.
I look forward to establishing some fun relationships in this forum. Thanks again for allowing me to participate.
Not new here but this is an active thread and so I chose it to wish all the other left-handed readers and writers a Happy Left-Handed Day."Everyone is born right-handed. Only the greatest overcome it"

Christine wrote: "It's nice to meet you D.R. Martin"It's good to meet you as well, Christine. I'm enjoying reading about (and writing to) so many people who share my fondness for books (reading them AND writing them).
Hey there! I'm Victoria, and reading brings me absolute joy! When I was younger, reading was a healthy escape for me, and that's stayed with me. There's honestly no problem that a good book and a large cup of coffee cannot fix. When I'm not reading, I'm either on Amazon or Goodreads...or sleep. I also enjoy creative writing and always keep a notebook handy.
Hi!I'm Pam Richards. I wrote a book about a friend who passed on. He hardly gave me a choice! A composer, musician, singer and songwriter, he'd often referred to our friendship in his songs. I tried not to think of him for over ten years after he died, but then I started listening to his songs again. Everything came bounding back. As an artist and a writer, I had to return the favor so I can look him in the eye when I see him again. My memoir of our friendship is Singing from Silence: Rich Mullins: Love Beyond Fear. I hope you have a chance to read it!
Hi allI've posted my book link on the Authors List within this group, I hope that's ok.
I write mainly Flash Fiction and my first book 'Flash Fraction' is a collection of 75 x 75 word stories.
I also blog on www.helenamallett.com so you can see a bit more about me there if you're interested.
I'm Suzy Witten, author of THE AFFLICTED GIRLS A Novel of Salem, an intuitive retelling of the infamous Salem Witch Hunt. (2010 IPPY Silver Medal for Historical Fiction)"Something happened in Salem Village in 1692 ... but it isn't what you think!"

I am Tricia L. McDonald, Sally's mom. Sally is actually my miniature bull terrier and I have authored two books about my life with her - Life With Sally: Little White Dog Tails and Life With Sally: Still Spinnin' Tails. Most of the time I am referred to as Sally's mom, instead of Tricia. I also have a new book out titled Quit Whining Start Writing: A Novelist's Guide to Writing. It is a quick read book that is not text-heavy, yet filled with good information for writers - both beginners and published.
Lastly, I am also the owner of Splattered Ink Press http://www.splatteredinkpress.com/pag..., a publishing company created to help writers get their books in print. Having great success and working with wonderful writers! Please feel free to check us out.
I am happy to be here!!!
Hi all,I'm Tellulah Darling, former screenwriter, now YA author. My first book Sam Cruz's Infallible Guide to Getting Girls, a sexy YA romantic comedy is on my GR page right now, getting advance buzz for its October publication. I've been having a lot of fun here on GR and procrastinating way too much chatting with people on the forums.
If you get a chance, please check out my book trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbWPUQ...
Look forward to chatting more with you all.
Hi all,As a reader, I'm just Heather.
As an author I'm H.R. Willaston.
I love reading and will read almost anything. I've written and self published one YA book - Future Letters - and am currently working on my second (also YA) and third (General Fiction). I've also written a few children's stories, none of which are published, but have been used in my own personal classroom while working as a preschool teacher.
I live in Central California with my husband of almost 13 years and our dog, cats and fish.
Hi everyone.. I love to read! I write reviews like crazy too and love to do this for authors. My favorite books are comedy mysteries, light hearted romances historical, funny, (not sexy) , and true happy stories. I can read up a storm and love being here. So nice to meet all of you - Ruthie Pople
My name is Stephen Matlock, and I'm a writer. I've been writing for 20+ years, mostly trade publications (long and short form), as well as essays and short stories, and 6 novels which will never see the light of day if I'm lucky. My seventh novel is now published & available on Amazon (print and Kindle). And I'm working on sequels #2 and #3 to this novel as well as a fourth novel that does not yet fit into the world of the first three.
Feel free to check out the novel on Goodreads:

When I'm not writing, I'm doing other things in the technical publications field, gardening, golfing, fixing broken things around the house, and watching The Big Bang Theory.
Hello all,My name is Philip Charles Stephens and I'm a writer and artist. I've had a couple of poems and a short story published in some New Mexico journals (Leonardo Magazine and Conceptions Southwest--nothing with a bar-code yet!) and I ghostwrite for a company in England. I am currently ghostwriting a WWII novel and am working on the second draft of my first book. I love SF and fantasy and am heavily influenced by Heidegger and Buddhism.
My first serial, Glyphein, is up on theinsidemag.com and I've also uploaded it on my Goodreads page. A second serial, The Closed Gate, is in the early stages. I'd love to hear any critique and relish the chance to enjoy the work of other authors.
My name is David Krae. I'm a writer and filmmaker. In the film world, I have produced some independent films that won Best Feature awards at some festivals and won the Golden Palm Award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in 2007 for the script 'Lucretia' about Lucretia Borgia. I originally wrote the story as a stage-play in Elizabethan verse (crazy, I know) and have recently written it as an historical novel, Lucretia, which is now published on Kindle, Nook and Smashwords. In the book world, my interests are very eclectic, both as a reader and as a writer -- I guess my bookshelf speaks ...ahem ...volumes (sorry, couldn't resist). ;) In brief, I'm a philosophy nut, a history buff and a total sci-fi/fantasy geek with a manga/anime habit, but I love works from a whole variety of genres and even some mainstream lit as well.
Anyway, great to meet everyone and be a part of the community of readers and writers. Best to all. Cheers! D.
Hey Fellow Book Lovers! I just joined this group. I am an avid reader and fiction writer. You can read a novelette of mine for FREE on Goodreads. Also check out my book giveaway contests! I love to read paranormal, sci-fi, macabre, crime and writing reference. It’s nice to meet you! :o)
Thank you for creating this group. I'm really glad to be a part of it. I'm James Hampton and I write mainly contemporary fantasy and science fiction, but I enjoy exploring all different genres, both as a writer and a reader. Here's where I hang out: http://www.jhamptonwrites.blogspot.com/
I write about punks, skinheads, motorcycle gangs and other assorted hooligans, with lots of swearing and random violence. 35 years ago they probably would have been classed as Young Adult, but I have no idea what they would be called now.Sales have been surprisingly good, considering I only wrote them for my own amusement, but I'm looking for some pointers to where to go from here.
I'm doing well, and I hope you are too. It's great for all of us to have a place (group/website) like this to gather.

Hi Vincent,Great topic -- thanks for the invitation!
My name is Scott Bonasso and I am a conductor (of the musical variety). When I'm not making music or reading books, I'm writing fiction. I recently released two ebooks on every major ebook retailer: a crime novel, "Juarez," and a short story collection, "Snow Stories," that covers multiple genres (fantasy, mystery, horror, etc.).
I self-publish my ebooks through Smashwords. I have been pleased with my sales so far, and touched by the kind reviews I'm receiving on Amazon. The whole experience has been very exciting and makes me want to write and publish more!

I had a giveaway recently where about 900 people entered to win 1 of 10 copies; I just mailed out the copies to the winners Thursday last.
I am proud of my Publishers Weekly review, which summarized the book this way: "Ben and Henry, the touchstones of the story, are charismatic and nuanced individuals"

Hello everyone! My name is Pauline L. Hawkins and I'm an author. Actually I've just written and published my debut book titled, Ashes Ashes The Twins Fall Down. I am single and live with my 20 year old son in Texas. I am an animal lover with 2 dogs, 1 cat and a horse. While I live less than 10 miles from South Fork Ranch, I’m probably the only person that didn’t like the original Dallas series and has not seen the new one. I read widely but some of my interests include: books on plant-based eating, new thought, Lamsa’s translation of the Holy Bible and Anne Rice just to name a few. I started writing in high school, just the regular high school assignments but I found that I like it and I was good at it. For the next several years I only wrote for pleasure, things like journals and free-writing and the computer. It wasn’t until 2003 that I decided to write my debut book, Ashes Ashes The Twins Fall Down.
Ashes Ashes The Twins Fall Down is a look at the events of 9/11 from both a personal perspective and an informational perspective. I’ve shared my experience of 9/11, it’s repercussions on my family, my job and how I viewed the world. The book is a story of coping with the news, reframing how I thought about America and the world, and making a conscious decision to become better-informed. I’ve tried to provide a thought-provoking context for the events of 9/11, personal stories, and hard core facts that not everyone may be aware of.
My book can be purchased in paperback and eBook format on Amazon.com. Currently I have a 2-day promo where you can obtain my book for Kindle for free, saving yourself $4.99. All I ask is that you write a review on Amazon if you are able. Thank you.
