Hadrian | 2 comments Hi everyone,
I'm Hadrian Stone, author of The 23 Laws of Marketing: Master Them or Die. I write about strategy, influence, and the psychology that drives decision-making. My focus is on uncovering the hidden levers of persuasion; what works, why it works, and how it shapes the world around us.

When I', not writing, I'm publishing articles and papers on the darker side of marketing strategy; scarcity, perception, and power dynamics. I'm here to connect with fellow authors and readers who enjoy sharp ideas, bold takes, and books that challenge conventional wisdom.

Looking forward to the discussions here, and happy to swap thoughts or recommendations anytime.

David Amerland (david_amerland) | 1 comments Hi, I'm David and very new to this group. Been writing for a long time and I have a science background and a career in journalism. I've written 19 books to date that range from Search (and SEO) to marketing, social media, decision-making (a lot of neuroscience research included), intentional living and my latest one, "Built To Last" on fitness and longevity. None quite fit the traditional mould of the genre they appear in. The connective thread (crystal clear in retrospect) has been and is, human behavior. None of us is the same in every context and yet we are physically and from neural substrate perspective, the same in every context. I hope this gives you a rough idea of why I am.

Gwynna Moore | 1 comments My name is gwynna moore.
I am an author, and last year I published my first book, The Last Captain Sails Again, a story about a scarred war hero who fears that the war he fought in never ended, and is going to return in full strength.
I'm pretty new to the publishing side of things, though I have been writing since I was 9 years old. I like writing strange genres (My book would fall into the category of a 'fantasy pseudo-historical fiction Age of Sail action drama with talking animals,') and I like to play with stereotypes and archetypes, switching their typical places in the story to see what new things I can do with them.

message 22572: by Rich (new)

Rich Oliver | 1 comments Hi, my name is Rich (RichO is my nickname) and I am self-published under Rich Oliver.

My first two fiction books are companion works that tell the origin of two main characters who later are featured in a Science Fiction/Fantasy series.

The first book is "Below the Falls" (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...)
The second book is a WIP at the first draft stage: "Beyond the Falls."

The series name is "Guardians of Reality" and will include:
AI Wars (science fiction techno warfare)
A Storm is Coming (dystopian science fiction)
Bangkok Do or Vanish (science fiction thriller)
Millennium Storm (dystopian science fiction)

I placed my first two books in the fantasy adventure genre, but they are also classified in the YA genre. The series is firmly designed to be science fiction.

I have faced multiple challenges along the way. I have extensive training in using Photoshop and InDesign, yet getting the paperback edition of Below the Falls formatted was way more difficult than I expected. If you do not have the resources to pay for a formatter then started learning some system like InDesign early in the process.

My number one tip: Get a personal EIN Tax ID for banking purposes. EIN for your LLC will not work for some platforms. It is free and easy to request one on the IRS website. Be sure to only request it on the IRS website. I believe there are options for international EIN.

My author website is: https://www.richo.org
https://books2read.com/belowthefalls

Am I allowed to say that I am looking for final readers?

Terri Hanauer (terrihanauerbooks) | 1 comments Hello everyone! My name is Terri, I'm a Los Angeles based actor, director, and author. I have just released my debut fictional novel, 'The Lightness of Rain'.

Bold, revealing and emotionally layered, The Lightness of Rain is a compelling tale of love, sex, forgiveness, past decisions and future possibilities. It is a passionate, haunting novel that captures both the searing pain of loss and the transcending power of hope.

In the sprawling, sun-soaked expanse of Los Angeles, the lives of three strangers run parallel yet strikingly different courses, until an unexpected turn of events connects their paths.

If that sounds like a fun juicy time to you, please check it out and let me know what you think! I am working very hard to build up some reviews on Goodreads and Amazon, and if you feel so inclined to leave one it would mean the world to me.

Martha Tecklenburg | 1 comments Hello, I'm Martha Tecklenburg. I'm a retired ESL teacher who now writes fiction, finally has time to garden, and relax! I've published four collections of short stories this year. The first, "The Voices That Sang," is a collection of portraits of courageous, resilient women who face adversity. The second, "The Shape of Her Strength," is a collection of tales about strong women who must overcome some of life's challenges. The third, "The Map of Belonging," encompasses stories that focus on various kinds of relationships, extending beyond romantic ones to include neighbours, friends, coworkers, siblings, parent-child relationships, and other types. The fourth, "Whispers of the Unrequited," is a collection of tales of unrequited love. All the stories are set in different eras and countries, some with the backdrop of war or revolution, others set in interesting historical times and places.
I would love for anyone who may be interested to read them!

message 22585: by Ghad (new)

Ghad | 5 comments Hey everyone, I’m GHAD.

I’m a writer and artist from Toronto, using storytelling to bring clarity to a world that’s often misunderstood. My books explore crime, but not just the act itself—I go deep into the relationships, psychology, and life behind the headlines. These are stories rooted in the streets, but told with a voice that reaches beyond the usual ā€œurban fictionā€ lane.

If you’re curious about street life, power dynamics, survival, and the emotions behind people’s decisions, my work might speak to you. I don’t glamorize or sensationalize. I focus on what leads up to those pivotal moments and what happens after.

Whether you read for the raw emotion, gritty realism, or human insight, I aim to leave you with stories that stay with you.

Let’s connect if you enjoy deep, layered crime fiction with heart and truth.
I’ll follow back readers, reviewers, and authors alike.

Looking forward to being part of the community.

Elizabeth Douka | 2 comments I’m Elizabeth, a new indie author and fantasy reader obsessed with mythology, divine chaos, unpredictable fate, and morally gray heroes. (Been working on my series for over a decade!)

My debut romantasy/action/urban fantasy, Under the Aegis, just released — it’s about a mortal woman saved by the Olympian gods and forced to prove herself worthy of godhood ⚔. Think modern Greece meets ancient myths, slow-burn tension, reluctant divinity and a story about survival.

I’d love to connect with fellow fantasy/romantasy readers and authors here :)

My name is Adria Sanders. I’m a New Age non-fiction author, and I write about my spiritual experiences over the past six years. Through my books, I aim to encourage readers to explore alternative perspectives on life and to embrace experiences that may not be easily explained by traditional ways of thinking—such as memories of past lives, contact with non-terrestrial beings, astral projection, and more.

I don’t claim to be a specialist in these fields. I still have my doubts and fears. However, the ability to connect with other realms has positively transformed my everyday life.

If you're curious and would like a glimpse of my books, you can find me on https://www.amazon.com/author/adriasa....

Carl James | 1 comments Hello everyone,
My name is Carl James. I am both an author and a reader. I like books of all kinds, but particularly biographies, and books on personal growth.
My books are self-help nonfiction on the topic of recovering from anxiety - something I was able to achieve rather late in life. Seeing a need out there, I have made it my purpose to share what I learned on my journey to recovery.
I have published two books so far, with more on the way. My first book is titled "It's Only Anxiety", and details the acceptance based approach that helped me recover. This method was pioneered by the late Dr. Claire Weekes, an Australian physician who recovered from anxiety herself and authored many books on the topic.
Glad to be a part of this Goodreads community.

Eric Magun | 8 comments Hi Everyone!

I'm Eric Magun, an award-winning filmmaker and now novelist. I’m excited to invite you to step inside the Sinners Club—my multi-award-winning debut novel Thank God for the Sinners that just hit the shelves in August. Dark, gritty, and unapologetically raw, this psychological thriller drags you headfirst into the wild, unforgettable ride following outcast Rick Price as he explores memory, childhood scars, trauma, adventures through China and more. Early readers have called it 'Tarantino meets Bukowski on a Bourdain odyssey.'

As this is my life’s work, I would be thrilled to know all your thoughts, opinions and feedback on here, also through a Goodreads review, or even an amazon review. As a new author, this is incredibly valuable to me and I would be happy to return the favor to anyone else in the community. Hope to find new ā€˜sinners’ in here. Buckle up and enjoy the chaos!

Tony Brooks | 1 comments Hi everyone! I’m Tony Brooks — author of Moonshine, Music, and Ghosts and The Light That Watches. I write stories that blur the line between the real and the unreal: Southern grit, family legends, and a touch of the supernatural on one side, and tech-driven paranormal horror on the other.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually reading anything that mixes truth, tension, and imagination — from memoirs to sci-fi. I love connecting with other writers and readers who enjoy stories that make you think and feel a little haunted afterward.

Looking forward to meeting everyone here and trading ideas, books, and maybe a few good ghost stories along the way.
