Hi, I'm from Kathmandu, Nepal. I have done one self pubishing via Kindle and one through a publishing house recently. Writing a fiction, especially of suspense and mystery genre has always been my passion; and I equally enjoy reading such. I would love to know and hear about others in this group.

A Baker's Dozen For Writers: 13 Tips for Great Storytelling
Hello everyone, I'm Angel Orengo. My wife and I launched a publishing company this year. Our goal is to positively impact the world one reader at a time, injecting dosages of love, kindness and hope through stories.
Our first project is a book we co-wrote (our first) titled - THE ORCHID: The Secret Code of Modern Goddesses - about the power of self love and the forces of awareness, gratitude, forgiveness, acceptance and intention.
It's a self-help book written as a story. It has wonderfully vivid and diverse characters, built-in exercises and moments designed to drive the reader's introspection and growth.
Though it is primarily for women, the book and its message is really for all genders.
Hope you give yourself the opportunity to journey through its pages... Available in English y Español (THE ORCHID: El Código Secreto de las Diosas Modernas), digitally, physically and in audio versions.

I’m Z.W. Bosie, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself. I’m the author of "Inside the Invisible Box: My Journey from Mars to a Rising Phoenix," which is currently approaching its pre-launch phase and will be posted on Goodreads soon. This is my second publication; the original book, "Inside the Invisible Box," was published back in 2007."Inside the Invisible Box: My Journey from Mars to a Rising Phoenix" is a memoir that intertwines my personal narrative with poetry and personal development to explore the complexities of mental health, cultural identity, and resilience. Writing this book was a journey of self-discovery and healing for me—one that I hope will resonate with readers who have faced similar struggles or are looking to understand the often-unspoken challenges that shape our lives.
In "Inside the Invisible Box: My Journey from Mars to a Rising Phoenix," I open up about the personal experiences that inspired my poetry, offering readers an honest and raw glimpse into the moments that have shaped who I am today. It’s more than just a memoir; it’s a conversation about the power of vulnerability, the importance of mental health, and the strength it takes to break free from the invisible boxes that confine us.
I’m passionate about connecting with others who love transformative narratives and meaningful dialogue. If you’re interested in stories that blend memoir with poetry, or if you’re passionate about mental health and personal growth, I’d love to connect with you!
Feel free to check out my book cover (which I’m pretty excited about!) and follow me. I’m an avid reader as well and love discovering new treasures, so I’d be happy to follow you back😀 Let’s support each other on this journey of writing, reading, and sharing our stories.
Looking forward to connecting with you!

Sherrie Miranda's "Crimes & Impunity in New Orleans" follows the dramatic story of naive, sheltered Shelly going to “The Big Easy” to prepare for El Salvador, but has no idea she will encounter sexism and witness racism as well as illegal activities by government agents.

Review: Shelly’s journey in “the city that care forgot.”Sherrie Miranda’s new novel “Crimes and Impunity in New Orleans” puts the reader into a whirlwind of political protests, abusive police, sexist attitudes towards women, and “good old boys” racism in 1980’s New Orleans. Miranda’s second novel follows Shelly, the young northerner, as she quickly finds out that she “isn’t in Kansas anymore” while encountering a slew of picturesque, colorful characters. Reading her book makes you wonder if justice and respect for blacks, immigrants, and women can be reality in America.
In Book 2, "Secrets & Lies in El Salvador," Shelly goes to El Salvador to photograph Salvadorans in the midst of the civil war there. She becomes the keeper of many people's secrets & lies.

Hi all! My name is Steve Williams. I have written a music history book, MUSIC TITANS - 250 GREATEST RECORDING ARTISTS OF THE PAST 100 YEARS, a book that explores the most consequential artists of the past 100 years; all genres are covered from jazz to rock, blues to pop, folk to country. The book has a 4.4 rating on Amazon and a 4.8 on GR. Music publisher Peter Burke called it "an absolute masterpiece!" Grammy winning producer Jeff Weber wrote, "I love this book!" Readers Favorite, in its 5 Star review, wrote, "Steve Williams writes with passion and engagement for his subject matter in a truly delightful and enlightening read...a must-read for any music enthusiast..." I'd be honored if you read my book and doubly so if you leave a review. Thank you.
https://medium.com/@VilenessFats/livi... in the Driftless BioregionI was born and raised in the largest city in the so-called "Midwest"--in a neighborhood regarded more by parish than by real estate-ment.
Blue-collar. Ethnic. Insular. Mostly white. Catholic. Racist and Reagan Democrat. Front-porch-friendly. Family-oriented. Kid-accountable, with two-flats, grandparents, gangways, alleys and around-the-block races. Backyards, sidewalks, side-streets and corner groceries. Guitar Mass, uniforms, nuns, paddles and female lay-teachers in miniskirts.
Then I became a practicing adult.
I’ve never kept a journal or diary, but as I get older and I see so much change happening around me, I feel the need to — particularly when it comes to the so-called “natural world.” The accent, then, or bias, will be towards that, and will largely be limited to what I can sense around my house and the two part-time jobs I’m currently working, both of which involve extensive outdoor activity and aren’t all that far from home. But I’ll also include thoughts I’ve been having about the human condition — particularly about how we all have become so adept at living in conditions that are incredibly inhumane. In other words, living lives that seem to countervail our very natures.
I’ve always hated the suburbs. Even when I still lived in the city and witnessed gentrification destroying neighborhoods that I had either once resided or bummed around. I may have cursed the urban interlopers and carpetbaggers, yet I never considered packing up for suburbia. I just sought out funkier digs.
But I’m not sure if I hate the ‘burbs because of what they do to people or what people do to them. A chicken and egg thing, perhaps. There’s no denying a certain sterility to the neighborhoods and even homes. Subdivision construction requires woodland or farmland destruction. A flattening must transpire.
Lawns are just so, either out of force or preference. Interiors decorated to meet the standards set by neighbors, who double as friends. Women with too much time on their hands; men with too little. Not sure if the races run the rats, or vice-versa. Certainly, will must surface and come into play. A Faustian bargain, perhaps?
We get them out here eventually. They say they’re from the city, but they rarely are. Suburbanites. Transplants, who are often retirees. They might leave their McMansions behind but they arrive well-armed with McMadness — wanting to impose their way of life on a rural one. You see it in their lack of patience. It has to be now, be it a prairie installation or a plumber’s service call. The tongue-clucking. The sighs. The tapping. Feigned disinterest. The symptoms are many. The dis-ease is the same.
REAL city folk have an easier time out here. Provided that they’re not expecting suburbia. Because you have to be patient in the city: Traffic. Crowding. Lines for this and lines for that. Foibles of multiculturalism versus bureaucracy. And guns. The suffering of fools need not be done lightly in Uptown or the Back of the Yards.
Like the South, our pace is slower. Sometimes it even frustrates and aggravates us. But it also allows for more conversation. More opportunities for neighborly interaction. The catching up with stories. To get the latest gossip. Business coming and business going. Farmers’ bullshit. Mothers bragging. Fathers whoring. Drugs a’dealing.
I have vowed to never take this place for granted. Warts and all, this is my new home. I grew up a city boy and Chicago will always have a soft spot in my heart. I’ll still visit, but my cities of choice are now Madison and Dubuque. I can still spot neighborhoods there that remind me of Logan Square, where I was born. The old Lincoln Park, where being punk was cool. Rogers Park, where being a hippie still meant something. And Uptown, where rent was reasonable and the streets weren’t neat and were even mean.

Hi, everyone! I'm Phil Kahn, and I live in upstate New York. Today I self-published my first book on Amazon, Heartstrings Into Infinity! The book is a true story of how I met my soulmate after many years of searching, only to watch her succumb to cancer eight short months later. Her passing was obviously devastating for me, but at the same time I was blessed to have met her! Plus, I know she's still with me as my guardian angel! I've only been on this site a short time, so I'm looking forward to connecting with many new friends!
Hi Everyone. I've just self-published book #4, "What Now?", a short stories collection, 128 pages, posted on Amazon as of Aug. 12. Here's a synopsis to find out if you're interested in reading:
"What Now?" tells eight short stories of individuals dealing with the unexpected that can seriously impact their life.
Ella Mae: the money she accidentally finds may put her in danger. Jasper: a haircut leads him to consider a new road for his future. Caroline: a coworker is on a mission to get her fired. Logan: as high school ends, the devil wind comes to collect his dues. Tara: her boyfriend reveals a dark side. Luke: what he's been hiding hits home. Lori: her addiction is private until her husband surprises her. Marshall: diagnosed with a fatal disease, he is torn about his beloved Harley.
The question is: what would you do?
My other 3 books FYI are titled "Slag", "Long Plastic Hallway" and "Blue Flamingo", all fiction.

Are you truly looking for a great book to read??? Well, here it is!
Hi, I'm Veronica. I wrote some short stories and a play script when I was in high school. Now that I'm in my postgraduate studies, I want to start writing stories again. I miss the feeling of being so engrossed in the writing process, getting lost in my own fictional world, and the excitement that comes whenever a new idea sparks.Even though it's been a long time since I last wrote a story, I’ve never stopped writing my own story—through journaling. Journaling has been a part of my daily life since I was twelve; it's my favorite way of sorting out my thoughts and emotions.
I'm also an avid reader. I enjoy reading books on a wide range of topics, from YA fiction to psychology, philosophy, and anything else that piques my interest. My reading choices often reflect what's going on in my life—like how I read sad books when I'm feeling down, or philosophy books when I need comfort. There's something about philosophy books that I find incredibly soothing, like a fluffy blanket and a warm cup of coffee on a rainy day. 🖤☕
Hello All! Years in the classroom introduced my students to The Gilded Age (now airing on TV (HBO), soon for a 3rd season).
That tumultuous, fascinating era sent me to ink pen and keyboard to produce "The Val and Roddy DeVere Gilded Age Series," mystery novels featuring a western silver heiress who marries the love-of-her-life, a 5th generation New York gentleman. She is too rich to be ignored, but too "low" for acceptance by Society. The couple start sleuthing to protect the life of a good friend in elite Newport, 1898--and find themselves called on to track down killers in New York, Palm Beach, Chicago, the Hudson Valley, and Newport once again. Their first outing: A GILDED DEATH https://www.cecebooks.com

Hi I´m Grace. I have just published my first book newly on amazon. A memoir (novella) about my adventures with my husband, owning and running fairground equipment in Spain. We ran the business for over 4 years and I put my thoughts and experiences, good and bad, into the memoir La Vida Loca. I would like to connect with other short story writers of memoirs or autobiographies, or non-fiction stories and share it with a wider audience. I loved writing the book, it brought back lots of memories. I am now working on the prequel, when I owned and managed a small hotel in rural Scotland.

Hi everyone, my pen name is Naji A.KAt the age of 26, I felt a deep need to break away from the noise of the city and the demands of everyday life. For a year and a half, I lived in isolation, far from everyone I knew, immersing myself in solitude. During this time, I reflected on every aspect of my life—every joy, every sorrow, every lesson. I watched the world from a distance, searching for meaning and clarity. Out of this intense period of introspection, my first novel was born, a work infused with the wisdom and understanding I gained from that transformative journey.
I'm the Author of two books. The One Called Jade is now 3.99. Pick up a copy today or get it on Kindle. Plus you can read all my books on Kindle Unlimited!
Hi, I'm Marc, I'm new to Goodreads, and I'm trying to figure out how it works.
Firstly, I've been led to believe that I must post a URL that leads to my Amazon page, where my book sells. But I don't see where... Is this how Goodsreads reviews end up on you Amazon web page? regardless, it doesn't hurt to have the two sites connected.
I've spent most of my adult life acting, a variety of side-job paying the bills as I chased the passion.
Recently, I published my debut novel. Van Man: American Dreams. It's an interesting combination of genres, heavy on dystopian themes, but riddled with satire and science fiction. A unique read, that" Reads like a movie," according to some.
Anyway, I'm glad to be here. I'm open to making new friends and supporting other authors. It is a pleasure to be here. -Marc Desellem

Hi, Vincent and everyone else. My name is Tom (T.M.) Demmitt. I am a writer who just finished my first novel, The Psychic War, from BLKDOG Publishing. The story involves a young woman neuroscientist and a secret society of world-dominating telepaths. There is so much danger and intrigue for our hero! It is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc., and is the first part of a four-part series (The Psychic War Saga).
I have been a lover of science fiction all my life, and the Psychic War Saga spans our world's past, present, and future (in separate stories) while exploring the mystery of telepathy among humans.
