Hello everyone! I’m William Graser. I’m new to this group and am pleased to join you. I’m the author of ‘Smell the Gunpowder: The Land of the Morning Calm’ a new book currently on Amazon, with an official publication date of October 2022, copyright 2023. Inspired by true events and firsthand accounts about Korea post 1945.
The US and Korea’s Joseon Dynasty established diplomatic relations under the 1882 Treaty of Peace, Amity, Commerce, and Navigation, and the first US diplomatic envoy arrived in Korea in 1883. US-Korea relations continued until 1905, when Japan assumed direction over Korean foreign affairs at the end of the Russo-Japanese War. American military in Korea began from the end of World War II through the Cold War to include two Korean Conflicts (1950–1953) and (1966–1969). Smell the Gunpowder: The Land of the Morning Calm continues with the Singapore Summit 2018 (Singapore), the Hanoi Summit 2019 (Socialist Republic of Vietnam), North Korea’s hostile threat of nuclear conflict along with the economic and social impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Smell the Gunpowder is inspired by true events and veterans’ firsthand accounts of Americans who served in Korea. Because of these veterans, the Republic of Korea remains a free sovereign nation, and one of the strongest and wealthiest countries in Asia. Today, North Korea continues to have a nuclear arsenal and is one of the most militarized countries in the world creating a critical security challenge. Concerns about North Korea and its intentions remain at the highest level since the end of the 1950s and 1960s Korean Conflicts. South Korea has urged the United States and North Korea to reach a formal peace agreement.
Brief Bio
William R. Graser enlisted in the US Army in 1965 and was recruited by the US Army Security Agency. He was a Sergeant First Class and his assignments included Republic of Korea, Republic of Vietnam, Kingdom of Thailand, Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany), occupied West Berlin—and the US Army Security Agency’s headquarters at Arlington Hall Station in Virginia. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Good Conduct Medal with four loops, Army of Occupation Medal (Berlin), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), Vietnam Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Upon retirement, he was awarded the Legion of Merit Medal for superior meritorious service while serving with the US Army Field Station Berlin.
I look forward to participating in the group.

I'm Lucy Broadbent, a journalist and author. My book What Would Ted Lasso Do? How Ted's Positive Approach Can Help You was released in December and picked out as one of the best motivational books for Christmas by WomenLoveTech Magazine.
I wrote it because I loved Ted Lasso the Apple TV+ show and wanted to expand and explore some of the themes of the show which relate to the Positive Psychology movement. It became a book containing both TV fandom and psychological advice from experts.
When I am not watching Ted Lasso on TV, I write for The Los Angeles Times, The London Times, Cosmopolitan magazine, Marie Claire magazine (US, UK and Australian editions) and a host of others. I also drink a lot of what Ted calls 'garbage water' but I call tea.

Hello Everyone!I've recently published my book, which is an hilarious memoir of my year as a cruise ship doctor on Carnival Cruise Line back in 1992.
The title is Up Your Game, and the main theme is me engaging in a feud with the egomaniac Sicilian captain, which caused a battle for my onboard survival. It is all a true story!

Hi, I'm Jodie. I have just published my first book. A noir true crime memoir.A Prisoner by No Crime of My Own: Incest. Rape. Murder. Then, I turned four.
At three years old, Jodie watched her father murder a woman in a seedy hotel room. He, a true-born sociopath, strolled undetected, using religion as his disguise. Their family coat of arms was incest. The murdered woman’s life mattered and so did her death. Her murder left a destiny to locate the truth and get the chance to bring healing and justice to cold crimes lost to time.
My sincerest desire is to help others walk free from their horrendous childhoods into a life that is full and free.
I am happy to be a part of this group.
Hello here. I am Rukayat from Nigeria. I am a reader, and I am looking for more reading experience and also be able to give feedback and review books for people interested.Looking forward to the experience here.
Hello, my name is Courtney Hines. I am a writer. Writing has always been my first love, and I have been writing since before I can even remember. I have completed two autobiographical novels and have a repertoire of poetry and spoken word. In recent years, I have immersed myself in crafting and writing thrilling mystery stories. Now, I have written and self-published the beginning of a science-fiction trilogy, Enhanced. With Enhanced, I explore one of my passions and delve into the science fiction genre. I love science-fiction, but I often times feel that the genre lacks black representation, and especially black female protagonist, which Enhanced provides.Enhanced: Initiation begins telling Chloe's story. It does so in a slightly distant future with a refreshing simplicity and action-packed adventure. Enhanced: Initiation is a coming-of-age science fiction story of an eighteen-year-old girl who joins a group of enhanced young adults in order to expose a corrupt government organization and make the world a better place, while struggling to discover her place in it.
The first two books in the trilogy, Enhanced: Initiation and Enhanced: Deadlock are both available on Amazon as e-book and paperback.

Hi everyone!Currently writing a flash fiction collection... My fiction writing tends to focus on Kenya as that was where I was born & raised.
Tea fascinates me and my latest non-fiction book focuses on how to mitigate the negative of tea-derived caffeine.
Hey, I am Stuart, a self-published author, and lover of books. I try to squeeze in reading whenever I am not working or writing my stories. I dream of being traditionally published someday. Nice to meet you all :) Only My Eyes Move: The First Nightmare Where Dreams are Lost: The Second Nightmare
My name is Jonathon Wright I am currently working on a short story about John the Baptist and Jesus with some interesting prophecies and dialogue when John's parents meet Mary the mother of Jesus. Prophecy and biblical research fascinate me. John had almost as Divine a birth as Jesus. In Luke 1 the same angel Gabriel visited Zechariah and Mary. Zechariah may have been like Abraham. He was very old. This is the second in a series. It has not been published yet.
But my first entitled A Dramatic and Prophetic Short Story: Jesus and His Early Life has been published on Amazon. However, it has not been reviewed yet. If anyone is interested please contact me at jonche231@gmail.com. Thanks and God bless.
Hi, folks. I'm K.K. Edwards, former graphic artist and kindergarten teacher; now, writer of psychological suspense and thrillers; sometimes, with a touch of horror/paranormal just to keep things interesting. I don't pull punches but my grit has heart . . . most of the time. :)My compelling novella Somebody Knows Something is here on Goodreads if you'd like to take a look. I hope you do. Feel free to visit me at https://copyfol.io/v/pqd9rp7m/ and happy reading, everybody!
My name is Steven Prouse. I've written comic books for Image Comics and Arcana Comics and recently released my novel Hanlebars and childrens' book Sammy the Squirrle(tle) on Amazon. I very much enjoy consuming stories whether in print, audiobook, audio drama, or film/television!
Hello. I'm Jason Bradford and though I'm not new to writing, I'm quite new to social media. I recently self-published my first book, Solar Ashes: Birth Of A Hero
It's the first part of a 5-book series I'm crafting. I wasn't a big reader when I was younger, and I found that's because school failed to introduce me to writing that appealed to me. I believe almost everyone can become a reader if they find that niche that works for them. Mine was action-adventure thrillers, but I also loved comics and sci-fi movies. So, I blended everything I loved into my series to excite readers, and entice nonreaders to discover the type of thrill only books can deliver.
Hi everyone! I hope this is appropriate to share! If not, please let me know. I apologize in advance and will remove this immediately.I am a university student working on a innovative project to help solve some issues and frustrations of aspiring authors and self-published authors. So if you can spare the time please spend 2 minutes to answer these 4 questions. I really appreciate it!

My name is Dylan. I write books, and I also love reading them. I think I’ve wanted to be an author since I was really young. I just remember writing little stories about dinosaurs and zoo animals. Now I write about stuff I’m going through personally as it always helps me deal with certain situations, such as mental health, bullying. It’s funny because I can’t deal with it myself, but if I’m a different character that I have created then I can all of a sudden deal with it.

I too write about my mental health and sometimes I have to write in a character that is not me in order to work through it.

Hi everyone! My name is Lindsay and I live just outside of Toronto with my husband and two children. I recently found Goodreads, not sure why it took me so long but I'm looking forward to expanding my network of book lovers and books themselves. I have always loved stories. First falling in
love with Alice in Wonderland and then The Wizard of Oz, I think that there is no better way to spend time – than through make-believe. I have been involved in media for many years now and have also written two children's picture books. Looking forward to meeting you all!
Greetings from India fellow bibliophiles!Really quickly:
Started off in the late 2000’s as an aspiring writer, did some regular freelancing for music/gig reviews and some travel writing; I’ve since moved on to more fictional pursuits.
Written for several Indian Comic Publishers and way back in the ye-olde-days of 2012, founded Meta Desi Comics as a creator owned/friendly publishing label.
Can’t stop coming up with strange new ideas so end up writing a fair bit of short fiction and love to dabble in drawing and doodling which has resulted in the birth of the OHM webcomic you can read on Tapas, DeviantArt, Webtoons and Instagram.
Okay! So I've written a bunch of things over the years and I'm always looking for feedback and how to better what I do - for me the writing is all about loving to tell stories and to share what runs around in my head.
If you'd like to check out my comics, my profile links the site to get the E-Book versions of them.
If you'd like to check out my prose short-fiction, can check out the free stories I've posted over on my blog which will be updated as I plan to intersperse book and comic reviews with free short fiction there going forward (that's on top of the short stories already there).
Thanks for taking a moment or two to read about me and hear me out. Lovely to meet you all and appreciate anyone who takes the time to interact and chat as it's always interesting to meet new folk and doubly appreciate anyone who takes the extra time to check out my work.
Cheers all!

Hi. My name is D. Emily Hicks. I live in Southern California, I am the author of a new book, An Introduction to Complexity Pedagogy, Using Critical Theory, Critical Pedagogy and Complexity in Performance & Literature. It is now available on Amazon; it can be ordered through bookstores and bookstore chains in 22 countries including the US, Mexico, Canada, Germany, South Africa, India and Australia. It is a sort of field guide that introduces a new way of understanding and teaching literature and art. I analyze and show how to teach works by the Chicana lesbian author Gloria Anzaldua, the Choctaw author LeAnne Howe, the performance artist Karen Finley and the performance art duo Bob Flanagan and Sheree Rose. I am currently looking into where to set up book signings/readings. I am also working on a new book, Parables, about authors of African American and Afro-Latinx ancestry.
Hi everyone, I'm Greg and I'm the author of Il Lupo (links below).I live in England with my wife and our pets, and I'm a golfer and a karate guy in my spare time. Professionally, I've worked in business consulting and technology for most of my life, and I've been fortunate enough to hold positions in some of the world's largest and most admired companies in my field. But work, work, work makes Greg a dull boy, and my first novel is far more interesting than my profession.
I've incorporated some of my own life experiences with loss, and grief, and also with anxiety and stress into the backstories of some of the characters in Il Lupo. Having lost my brother to a sudden illness when he was twenty five and I was just twenty two, to then lose my mother to illness only a couple of years later was a profound and utterly life-changing period for me. At the age of fifty two now, I'm still working with, and processing what happened way back then. It was hard to leave all that out on some level.
That said, through it all, I like to think I've kept my sense of fun, and that comes out in my writing too, it wouldn't be me if it didn't. And my lifelong passion for the classic horrors in both written and movie forms is the final piece.
My written work will always:
- include down to earth, everyday, relatable aspects of reality
- make you smile or even chuckle in amongst the tears and the fears
- make your pulse beat a little harder and a little faster as the story builds and the danger and the jeopardy rise unerringly into the red-zone.
I'm looking forward to connecting with you all here, and on my socials too.

I’m the author of ‘The Unsealing’ a new novel currently on pre-order on Amazon, with an official publication date of February 28, 2023. The novel is inspired by Buffalo, New York’s ‘true crime of the century’ in 1901. Of course, it’s now a fictional tale, with names changed.
This is the first novel of The Avenging Angel Detective Agency™ Mysteries. The second novel, A Murder in Ashwood, will be published in May of 2023.
I’ve walked to each place, each building, each street and researched all that is possible to research on the case and the context. Buffalo in 1901 is fascination - Queen of the Lakes…The Electric City. As a native of Buffalo, I aim to bring to life this time period and these characters. My site is robertbrightonauthor.com, and I’d feel very pleased if you visit.
Now, back to the group - happy to be here!
