Two of my novels, 'That Night At The Hotel' and 'Lost Stars', are now published and it would mean a lot to me if you all could check out my work and provide me with some reviews that would help me become better.

Cheers!

Hi there.
I'm new to this community. I'm a published novelist and a poet.
I have had two novels published by Picador - 'An Accidental Light' and' Underwater', and more recently, 'Blink, and I'm gone', by The Book Guild. As I have joined the ranks of a 'not earned-out writer' - I received a HUGH advance but then my first novel, An Accidental Light, failed to get the reviews the publishers hoped for in the Nationals, so I didn't earn out my advance. 'Underwater' was part of the two-book deal with Picador. I wrote 'Blink, and I'm gone' about eight years ago but as my editor at Picador, despite loving it, felt she couldn''t take it on due to my 'not-earned-out' status she didn't offer on it. Blink, and I'm gone', sat on my memory stick for years until I decided last year to sign up with a hybrid publisher as I really felt this novel deserved a readership. It's it the best I've written, truly, and everyone that reads it loves it. Its a literary cross-over novel of the psychological/mystery/thriller genre. It probably would appeal to women more, but not exclusively.

Hi, Christine, do you review middle grade/juvenile fiction chapter books? Mine is a retelling of Cinderella. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks! =)
I am Maggie Keefe, a former computer geek, who gave up writing code and started writing silly, quirky Children’s books, fulfilling a lifelong dream. My silly nature and immaturity are well suited to my writing ambition. A kid at heart with a passion for children's literature, I may be getting a late start, but am glad to have the opportunity to do what I love. More about me
A retired software engineer trying to exercise the other side of her brain to ward off cognitive decline.
A pandemic poet with too much time on her hands and a bad case of the isolation blues.
A Senior spending the long, long frigid winter in the frozen northeast kingdom of Vermont.
An aspiring rap singer attempting to make rap music passé.
A budget-conscious senior citizen on a fixed income looking for inexpensive, meaningful gifts that are easy to wrap.
The recent recipient of an artificial hip and although her orthopedic surgeon claims her arthritis is due to old age, she believes it was caused by overzealous gyrations on the Zumba floor.
All of the above, or maybe most of the above, but definitely some of the above.

Hi all, I'm a Goodreads author of 3 novels, 1 short story collection, and 5 books of essays (website: ishamcook.com). I was born and raised in the US but have been living in China since the mid-90s, and most of my books (but not all of them) are about China and the East. I write literary fiction with Ballard, Beckett, Borges, Dick, Kafka, Hesse, Melville, Mishima, and Sade as key influences. I'm thus drawn to readers interested in unique, high-quality literary classics (present-day and former), especially the edgy, offbeat, and experimental, with keen interest as well in genre-defying science and speculative fiction and dystopian satire (fans of Arkady Strugatsky's Roadside Picnic will identify). Willing to trade honest reviews with other authors of mutual interest.
Everyone calls me Don. I write teen and young adult books. Humorous, coming of age, love, action, friend-to-lover. Hit me up on Amazon. Don Vodka. Support Ukraine!
Hi,I’m Regina. I’m originally from Louisiana. I write Ya/New Adult romance, historic fiction, and coming of age stories. My topics usually center around bullying, perseverance, discrimination, and abuse, depending on the story.

I don't share all your influences, but certainly admire many of the writers you mentioned and like edgy literary fiction with science fiction/mystery/thriller leanings. I would be happy to trade reviews with you if you want to. Not sure how this is done, though, as new to this site. Do we need to download our novel anywhere for reviews?
Hello everyone. I'm new to goodreads and am still finding my way around. The community aspect looks great.
I've been reading since I was five years old. My mom was an avid reader. She took me to the library frequently and I loved every trip. One of my favorite memories of my mother is of her reading at the end of the day... her feet curled up on the couch. Some visuals never fade.
I am also an author so I've created an author page on goodreads. My debut novel: Reasons, Three Lives One Soul is close to my heart. Although it's fiction, the story is inspired by my life experience.
Okay... that's it for now. I hope to create some wonderful friendships here, and maybe even find a fan or two!
Cheers,
Sherry denBoer

Neha wrote: "Hello, I'm Neha soni usually goes by pen name Eha S. My keen interest in reading have inspired and led me to write my first book 'Clouds' it's a mystery thriller, you can easily find it on Amazon k..."Hello Neha,
Like you, I recently introduced myself to this group. I thought I'd say hi as a welcome to you. I like your thoughts about what you'd hope to have on a deserted island! Have you created an author page here on goodreads? I ask because maybe we could become goodreads friends. No pressure.
Warmly,
Sherry
The Girl in DuluthHi, everyone! I’m Sigrid Brown, and I’m a writer as well as a reader. My debut novel The Girl in Duluth, a literary mystery in the vein of Alice Sebold’s The Lovely Bones and Paula Hawkins’s The Girl on the Train, is set in northern Minnesota. It was published in February 2022. I am so pleased that Publishers Weekly just selected it to review, calling it an “affecting debut …. Brown easily creates engagement with [her main character] June, and poetic prose is a plus …. Fans of thoughtful crime fiction will hope for more from Brown.”
You can read more about the book, as well as get a book-club discussion guide, on my website at https://sigridbrown005.wixsite.com/we.... I also blog there about books and the Minnesota arts and music scene.
Hello, my name is Brianne Wallace. I hope everyone is having a great day. I am new here to Goodreads, and I am still figuring how things work and where everything is at. Hi, everyone! I'm Brieanna and I love reading and writing young adult books. My debut YA novel, I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU, will be published this fall:Since her dad’s death, Rae has been grieving to a soundtrack of the ’80s rock songs he loved, resigned to her life of solitary sorrow. But Mac, a boy with a charming smile who thinks any problem can be solved with a show tune, pulls her into the world of high school theatre and slowly worms his way into her heart, giving her friendship and hope for romance—and the potential for more heartbreak.
I'm excited to meet you all and join in the fun here!
I'm slow getting in here again, but wanted to welcome all those who joined recently. So... Welcome to the group if you joined in the past week. Or even if you joined before that and I didn't say it to you at the time.
I recently posted my novel "The Man Who Accepted Everything" on Kindle Vella, which has been a year and a half in the making. My other long novel "The Court Watchers" represents my transition from lawyer to author. I spent many years in the courtroom, presenting the best sides of my clients. Everybody has a best side. Hopefully, mine will be as an author. Clark A. Hiddleston
