Steve Gans (httpswwwfacebookcomstevegans10) | 1 comments Hi! My name is Steve Gans, I write suspense thrillers. My first novel, "Israfel Rising" was published in 2020 and is about a serial killer in Chicagoland who's recreating murders from Edgar Allan Poe stories. My second book, "Israfel Fallen", was published in 2021 and concludes the story begun in the first book. My forthcoming novel, "The Eight Legs Of The Devil", will be published in early 2022. All three feature my main character, Detective Emmaline Sullivan, a potty-mouthed Welsh redhead who sees every case through to the end. My books are meant for adult readers only and contain strong language, inappropriate cop humor, sex, and violence.

Hi Aristotle. All good luck with your writing. I self-published two novels 20 years ago, modest stories and rudimentary writing, and now am awaiting publication of my third novel having happily received acceptance by a publisher.

God bless.

Mahayana Dugast Greetings dear new friend readers and authors, and a happy New Year to you all!

I love reading but mostly use audios nowadays to minimize screen time and numb legs from too much sitting down!

I have been an author of self-help books work mostly, and I just launched my first novel, part of a trilogy. All my books are here.
https://www.amazon.com/Mahayana-Isabe...

I have been working with consciousness tools and teachings for 30+ years and I love to contribute to people's wellbeing and personal development / self-realization.

I am delighted to be here and I am new to Goodreads since Nov.

I also need to build my Bookbub profile if anyone wants to connect with me there.

Have a great day / evening, and thank you very much.

I am looking forward to interact with you,
warmly, Mahayana

Lester Fisher | 215 comments I am a little embarrassed to keep plugging my memoir, but this is one blog that I missed. I didn't really write it to sell, but now I realize that I need to sell some books to offset the publication cost (not even including the hundreds of man hours). I wanted to be sure that my family had a record of my exploits, since I had a very varied and interesting life. Hence the title Happenstance.

Cleveland | 60 comments Hi Joanne
It so happens I have a collection of surreal short stories I need to publish. One story entitled 'Silver Wolf' deals with a Russian wolf last seen 100 years ago and now the Red Army have shot two escaped prisoners in a graveyard. It's enough to lift the door of a horror zone...
Let me know if you might like a read.

I also wrote a memoir so I can relate. Only wrote it to help other chronic pain sufferers like myself. And have made nothing in terms of royalties considering that I've spent thousands of dollars and countless hours, etc. Memoir is a tough genre to sell & promote. Especially if you are not famous like me and have virtually no Social Media presence also like me. Plus, my book has a Christian message which then makes it super hard to sell. If you'd like to connect here and support each other that would be great. Also, if interested my memoir is entitled, "Behind the Tapestry." Thanks and God Bless. Be safe. Peace.

Alex | 2 comments Hello everyone, I've been here a few years but I never did get very active before. That's going to change though since just a short while ago, I've self-published my first book on Kindle. I've had to make some changes to my initial posting since I wasn't sure what to get out at the time but I've got changes and edits to the descriptions under way. Case in point, Goodreads hasn't identified that I'm the author yet, but I can confirm that I am indeed the one who wrote it.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

My attempt at a sales pitch here: Imagine a fantastical world that is unlike ours and yet every bit like it. Imagine a young man with the desire to become a playwright but discovers that his written word is so much more. His written word being so great that it causes incredible disruptions in the world around him. Does his gift bring about his dreams or change the world around him?

Robin Tompkins | 336 comments Hi, my name is Robin and I am from the UK. I am not new to Goodreads (though I haven't been on here all that long) but I am new to this group. I am an indie author, working mainly in the fantasy genre, though I have been known to dabble in Sci-Fi and Horror. I have three and a half books out on Amazon (I co-authored the last one with my sister Maddie). I also design T-Shirts and accessories. Reading wise, I started out in my younger days pretty much reading only Fantasy and Sci-Fi. I moved away from that in my middle years, reading spy fiction, crime fiction the classics, historical fiction and other stuff. Now as an old geezer, I have returned to my roots in speculative and fantastic fiction. I am also a Whovian and an X-Phile. So, hi! :-)

Hi, Robin, my name is Gina! You can find my intro to Vince on page 390 message # 19471. I'm 61 so you and I have a few things in common -- I've published 3 books, have 1 half done and another in my head. Not really into X Files but love Doctor Who, that is until Chibnal messed everything up! I don't care at all for the newest cast or story lines. My favourite movies are silent and I love the Cocteau version of Beauty and the Beast (French with English subtitles!). I like jazz, especially Miles Davis, and adore Sarah Brightman!

Feel free to follow me or send a message if you're so inclined. Take care.

Best wishes. =)

Tom Lyons (tomlyons-author) | 12 comments Hi to all,
My name is Tom Lyons and I'm a published author and a voracious reader. Been reading approx. 75 - 100 books a year for over 50 years. My 4th novel has just been published. It's titled Grumpy Old Man.

Grumpy Old Man is a hysterical satire on present day life in the East Bay Area of San Francisco. (Think Carl Hiaasen writing about California, not Florida) This fast paced thriller is centered around an odd ball murder mystery that takes place during the Pandemic. Chock full of entertaining and weird plot twists it will keep you glued until the very last page. #gamblingaddict #bikinibarista #californiahomeless #sushimurders

It is available on Amazon at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PFDL64L

I look forward to being an active participant here on Goodreads! Thanks again!
Tom

Timothy Andrew Mitchell | 29 comments Hey, all. New guy here. I guess this is where I'm supposed to be. One never knows for sure. Anyway. First-time author with a story to tell, so here's the rub. Next week, to coincide with my fortfiftyish birthday, I’ll be running a free Kindle/eBook promotion on Amazon for the first book in my Amalrok series. While reviews of all kinds are greatly appreciated, please don’t feel obligated in any way. Just enjoy the book. Stay tuned to the Fantasy folder for details. Thanks!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089XJ4QZ7

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09M944XJ3

A rather ambitious prequel to mankind on Earth, this epic series takes place on Mars long, long ago. Led by a stern priest, a motley company of adventurers take up a quest to save the world in the last days of the doomed planet. Fans of classic sword-and-sorcery fantasy will find the setting familiar, while the rich characters and engaging storylines will keep even the casual reader hooked and turning pages. Or so I’ve been told. By friends. So, I guess we’ll see. Anyway. Enjoy.

Tim
