I recently published two of three books of my memoir under the pen name Lester Fisher. They are "Happenstance" and "Against the Tide". They take me from the logging camps of Oregon to the lumber town of Longview WA. then on to the Franciscan seminary, and then to the Univ. of Washington and into the Peace Corps in East Africa I brought an Africa family from Kenya while I pursued my career in agricultural research. You can read more at www.LesterFisher.com. The books are available in print and e-book on most major book outlets.

My name is Ernie Adams. I am new to Goodreads and trying to learn my way around this site. I am a new author. Just published my first novel in July 2021 on Amazon as an eBook and paperback. Hopefully, it will soon be available in hardback. My book is a spy thriller titled President's Eyes Only. More info about my book is listed in the thriller folder.
Allissa Oldenberg. Just published my first novel En Passant. I’ve created a fictional author, Helen Painter, who is remarkably familiar to me! I have other novels, unpublished as yet. I love to write but still have to do the day job. www.allissaoldenberg.co.uk if you’re interested. I could really use some good networks and reviews. Currently don’t read much as writing, editing and promoting but I loved The Girl Who Saved The King of Sweden and The Hundred Year Old Man …. Jonas Jonasson is historically and politically well-researched and very witty.
Hello.
I am Maria Pryor Herndon. I have just published my third Christian Romance novella (Loving Preston). Welcome!!

My name is Trudy Walter Carlson and my book NO COUNTRY NO HOME was published on November 16, 2021. I'm interested in other author's ideas and suggestions. My books is about: A Memoir about two sister's and their family accounts that will open your eyes to many stories lost that were unorthodox to the traditional accounts of WWII as a German. After the upheaval of the Russian army fronts advancing them off of their flourishing farm, they found themselves cattled into captivity by their own government. The escape from their condition left them on the move from one home to the next as they survived invading armies. This memoir is full of deep moments to leave you with an inspiration to grow, love others around you and have faith no matter the circumstances of the origin of your blood.
It's the story of a family of immigrants and the difficulties they experienced leaving in a country that didn't understand their cultural differences. It's the story of how the traditions and German upbringing affected the next generation and continues throughout the next generations. It's both nature and nurture without bells and whistles. (less)
Hi! I'm Carolina "Nina" Cruz!I'm an artist and author - I wrote The Unwanted Prophet, a dark fantasy about a death god and his criminal prophet! When I'm not writing, I'm drawing my characters, usually. This is my first book I've ever published and I'm very excited to be a part of this community.
Hello,My name is L. Wendell Vaughan. I recently published a novel called Rabbits and Moons. I am looking for people to review this book. For those of you who like to travel, this book takes place in Central America at an orphanage in the middle of a rainforest. It is based on an actual experience; however, it is fiction. There are kids, characters, romance, murder, and intrigue. Kirkus and onlinebookclub.org gave it a thumbs up. If you have kindle unlimited, you can read it for free. Those of you who are up for reviewing the book on goodreaders or amazon, but do not use kindle unlimited, I can send you a copy or epub. Thank you. PS: for those of you who would like me to read and review your book, let me know. Thank you, Laura

Hi all. I am Hebert McQuinn. I have been aspiring to be a writer for as long as I can remember and finally, last month I finished and self published my first book on Amazon KDP. It is a new experience for me and I see the cover of the book in my mind no matter where I am or what I may be doing. It is an overwhelming feeling of a new beginning for me and I thought that I might as well join a group of people who would hopefully guide me and be my companions on this journey.
I have read some posts here and you seem like a really vibrant community. I feel like I am home already. The title of my book is " Just imagine" and I never, for the life of me, dreamed I would have another first love in my lifetime until I saw the book published. Its my second first love and I am hoping that it will be the love of many other people as well.
Hi all, I just joined this group and it looks great. I am italian, a writer and a photographer. Since last year I had a publisher, but I have decided to quit with him because he kept all the money from my books and wanted me to pay for marketing campaigns. So now I’m on my own, ready to find an international audience after translating in english my latest novel. That’s it for now, merry Christmas everybody

Hey everyone! my name is Rebecca and I write under R.M. Methven (my maiden name).I'm very new here, I'm also new to using GoodReads for anything other than tracking my book progress.
I am an Indie Author, I've got a horror/thriller novella called 'Hunting Death', two coloring books (I know, quite a difference from horror!) one is Fun Facts about Malamutes and the other is Fun Facts about Sea Creatures. I also have two short fiction stories on Amazon as well.
I'm currently working on the sequel to my novella Hunting Death and I also have about 50k words on a fantasy novel that I plan on finishing whenever I can find the time.
I'm looking forward to reading books from you all and chatting about writing! :)
I have written 3 books, two of which are published. They are my memoir: Happenstance and Against the Tide, which are described at www.LesterFisher.com"My life" is a simple thing to say. But it encompasses the logging camps and mill towns of the Pacific Northwest; the Franciscan Seminaries of the West Coast; The Universities of Washington and California at Davis; A Peace Corps tour in Kenya; Agriculture research at Weyerhaeuser Co. Universities of California and Hawaii, as well as the US Dept. of Agriculture. There is a lot of adventure in those pages, and the reader might learn a thing or two on the read. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hSQo...

Hello, My name is Burke Bryant. I am an author. I was born in Everett, Washington. My creative career began as an actor working alongside talent including John Cleese, Emily Mortimer, Alford Molina, Christopher Walken, and William H. Macy. After losing Jennifer to suicide in 2019, I wrote my first book The Killing Kind, a prequel to Jennifer’s award-winning series the Strangers Series. I continue to honor Jennifer’s legacy by keeping her series alive while also working on his own projects, including a recent installment in M.D. Jones’ Black Mariah Shared Universe at Black Spot Books and a number of forthcoming novels and screenplays. I'm represented by Gandolfo Helin & Fountain Literary Management.
When I'm not writing, I run Humanitarian Aid and Rescue Project (HARP), a humanitarian organization that delivers critical aid into areas experiencing war, ethnic cleansing, conflict, and disaster.
I reside in Mexico and Columbia most of the time now.

Thanks for having me here.

Hello, I am from the frozen north and has published my first novel back in just 28th if this year, with a 2nd one along the way. I have 3 wonderful kids and an amazing wife which makes me a busy person. I also work for the school district in my city and I also run a creative writing club for the kids in the middle school I work at. This makes it a little hard to also be a writer, but I keep up the good fight. My dream is to make it my job, but it has been a battle that is taking a toll. Mostly with my local barns and nobles, my book is on the b&n website but they are not friendly at all. Anyways enjoy your day and have a magical day.
C.C. , I know the feeling! Not to bash B&N, because a lot of my book sales have been from their website, but getting a self-published or print on order (POD) book on their shelves is darn near impossible. It is their policy _ and I just had to accept it, and move on. My full encounter with the publishing world is recounted in my blog at my book website, www.hittingtheroadwithoutamap.comIf you enjoyed having you work published, just breathe that in!
Hi Marlena Evangeline at mevangeline.com My young adult fantasy novel Liam McPhee and The Thief of Laughter is now finally on Amazon. Hey all! Happy Holidays and hope everyone and their families are doing well.Just a quick intro -- it's me, Paul Davidson -- I have my debut fiction novel The Small Stuff coming out next April, and I also wrote the books Consumer Joe and The Lost Blogs (non fiction books over the last decade).
The new book is like 500 Days of Summer meets The Adjustment Bureau -- about how it takes a village of people and their small decisions to cause soulmates to meet up. It's fun!
Anyway, just saying hi. Best PD

Hello everyone... My name is William "Duke" Smither (formerly blogged under penname 'Backstreet Djeli' for several years). I'm new to Goodreads. Just joined this week. Published my debut historical fiction novel three years ago, the first in a trilogy; a second novel is in final stages of production and hoped to be released soon. I'm looking forward to reading and discussing some of your books, although I've never joined a club like this before. Perhaps, the closest to it may have been years ago when I was part of a short-story writing class at Writer's Digest; it was definitely helpful in completing part of my 'bucket list' of things to do in retirement. Here's my current book:

Hello! I'm A. G. Fleury, a new author who's just published his first book in September 2021. It's a dystopian/sci-fi/crime thriller entitled Kill Per View. I used to be a part-time musician over the years but stopped shortly after settling down. After a while, that artistic need to create was nagging at me so I decided to pursue writing on the side. Kill Per View is actually my second written story. The first story(sci-fi novel) is still only a first draft. Since then, I've written a 5000 word short story with a Christmas theme and I'm currently writing a third novel. Writing for me provides a temporary escape from reality as much as reading does. It's the great mental adventure.
