Barbara Eberhard | 3 comments I'm Barbara Eberhard, and I write and read voraciously. I've self-published 10 books in a little less than 10 years. I'm in a book club that reads 7 books a year, plus I read probably another half dozen or so - in between writing. Writing is my passion project. I've thought about trying to find a publisher. But I've heard lots of stories about the challenges with that. Curious what luck others have had?

Derek Gordanier | 2 comments Hello, I'm Derek Gordanier and my first novel, Undermarch, was released last month.
I am currently offering copies through the GoodReads Giveaway program for anyone interested, and I welcome any reviews/input of the book.
Undermarch is an Epic Fantasy genre novel; a short description of the book follows below:
The Arasynian Empire and the kingdom of the Aerie Coast share a strained peace on the northern continent of Alasia, each protecting colonial claims to a wealthy frontier. The Empire holds sway on the mainland, but with Aerie's expansionist Pirate King harrying Imperial ships on the open seas, the stalemate appears headed for confrontation.
Against this backdrop of looming war, a scribe has absconded with an ancient text pointing to the resting place of an artifact of immense power: a tablet inscribed with the true names of Creation that legend claims can bend nature to man's will.
A sect within the order that protects the tradition of the Words of Creation seeks the tablet. The quest to attain it will delve to the roots of the world, where power intersects prophecy, and with epic consequences for an orphaned boy and his sister.

Debora Dyess | 3 comments Hi! I"m Deb. I"m an avid reader, writer, composer, and illustrator. I'm also my daughter and daughter-in-law's favorite babysitter and a children's minister at my local church, so I stay pretty busy!
While I read almost anything, I do tend to prefer thrillers or Christian literature. If I can find those two genres combined, I'm a happy girl. I like occasional 'fluff' but want to be challenged more often than not. I'm enthralled by vivid descriptions and realistic dialogue. (I cannot stand 'plastic' narration!)
I write to what I love - kids' books and Christian material. I've written material for church BVS and Sunday School) but also am completing a couple of Christian thrillers (there's that combo again).
For just over a year, I compiled n eMagazine called 'Tween Girls and God, which addressed the needs of girls in the 9-12 age range. It was a group effort, with writers from Canada and the US, South Africa, Ireland and a few other places once in a while. Our readership was from Japan to India and from Canada to Brazil. It was a ton of work, but a fulfilling and wonderful experience.
I write/illustrate many of my own books but also work for a completely cool company out of Miami, FL, a non-profit organization that benefits autistic kids transitioning into adulthood. The author's name is Marc Rivera.
I'm terrible, TERRIBLE at marketing, but love every other aspect of this writer's life.

Blue Raven (theblueraven) | 70 comments Hi everyone. My name is Raven Kamali. I have been away from here for nearly two years as I was busy completing 3 books. I would like to say a few words about each book.

My historical fiction titled "The Dark Side of Glory" published Dec 2 2020 is set in ancient Judea and Rome and shows important historical events between 7BC-AD9 through the eyes of a young Jewish woman by the name of Abigail. If you are interested in reading this book, please click on the first link below.

My second book "I am Chaos" published Aug. 31 2021 was inspired by Doctor Faustus and tells the story of a nobleman who makes a deal with his evil twin. If you are interested in reading it, please click on the second link below.

My third book "Midnight Tales" released Nov. 17 2021 is a collection of 10 short stories in the genres of supernatural and fantasy including an epic fairytale poem. If you are interested in reading it, please click on the third link below.

The three books have received excellent reviews by professional reviewers and some customer reviews. I am sure you can appreciate how difficult it is to get people leaving a review. So if anyone is interested in reading any of my books, please don't forget to leave a review. Reviews are a tremendous help for promoting and selling books. Thank you all.

Colin Baldwin Hi Renee - Colin here from further south in Tassie. I'm no way an expert on how to self-market books, but I did a 6-book Goodreads giveaway recently for my debut novel - it was only open to US and Canadian members and you need to post signed copies - but it generated some interest outside Australia - and hoping to get some reviews filtering through soon. And of course, keep up building your profile - it looks good. Cheers CB

Paul F. | 55 comments My next novel, "A War Not Over", a Western romance fiction tale set in the post-Civil War era during construction of the transcontinental railroad, will be coming out in early 2022. A U.S, marshal trying to keep the peace between former Union and Confederate soldiers now working to build the transcon railroad finds a willing partner in a beautiful young lady who is attracted to him. Problem is, she is a pacifist at heart and unwilling to use a gun. How to keep the peace when vastly outnumbered, and without using bullets? How do you meet a challenge like that? Young Jenny Clevenger and Marshal Blake Hawklen have to discover some new and different methods for handling boiled-over veterans from opposite sides, with Indian troubles lurking in the nearby background.

Gary Diamond (goodreadscomgarydiamond) | 21 comments Harbinger Island
My novel, Harbinger Island, the first in a detective series, is available now on Amazon and has had some really good reviews. The second book in the series, 'All Roads Lead,' will be out on Amazon, before Christmas and my new Western book, 'A Fool's Quest To Moon Water', will hopefully be available by Spring/Summer 2022.

This one of the reviews for Harbinger Island.
From a protagonist who indulges himself in investigating cases right after his wife got murdered to an island where the death rate is gradually increasing every day, this book has to offer you a lot. This saga of thrill and suspense is absolutely unputdownable.
The story revolves around Detective Inspector James Copperfield who, five years after losing his wife, is invited to Harbinger Island for a dinner party by a billionaire named Richard Harbinger. The island is aloof from the rest of the world as the island has no access to any communication. James along with his daughter, Stevie and his detective sergeant, Baxter McGovern decide to go along with the evidences and follow-up the increasing death rate on the island. However, James ends up discovering and impassable connection between the deaths on the island and his wife's murder.
The plot and the story line is absolutely amazing. The twists and the turn in the story synched well with the plot. Before starting any murder, mystery or crime thriller will it really hope to not find impractical twists and gladly you will not find anything impractical in this book. The background setting, characters, twist and the climax, everything just synched well and made sense.
The language is lucid, making it a comfortable read for the beginners. recommended to everyone especially to the people who love reading murder mysteries and crime thrillers

Lauren Massuda Hi, my name's Lauren Massuda. I'm the author of the upcoming YA fantasy book, Sky Chase. The book's coming out on December 1st and I'm both excited and nervous about it. This is my first book that's being traditionally published. I've self-published before, but I didn't have the best experience with that, so I hope Sky Chase works better for me.

Angel Giacomo | 4 comments My name is Angel Giacomo. I am a retired police officer. I have done many things in my career, bomb dog handler, fatality traffic investigator, field officer. But I don't write books about law enforcement, I write about veterans. I have a passion for writing about those who serve us and keep us free. I research everything I write and have veterans read the result.

One of my best compliments came from my beta reader for the book The Jackson MacKenzie Chronicles Brothers In Arms. Sergeant Fuller, 1st Battalion, 7th Regiment, 1st Calvary Division stated, "I have stopped for a day or so. Started bringing back memories!! Ugh! enjoy it just was reading it all at once! Thanks for sharing it with me! Anyone who really wants to know how it truly was can get a real down-to-earth picture from your book...I have finished the first book and I loved it from a Vietnam veteran's perspective! I was 11B40 a infantry grunt and it really gets me as far as being realistic! The verbiage and the descriptions of how it actually was in Nam was amazing for someone that was not actually there. Indicates a lot of time and research."

I am caught up in my character of Jackson MacKenzie and the stories of him and his friends.

Gina LoBiondo (ginalob) | 93 comments Hi, Vincent! I started writing 48 years ago when I was all of 13 and have kept up as much as possible over the years. In 2008 I started my own brand -- Nephthys Publications (after the Egyptian Goddess of Protection) -- and published my 1st book in 2011. It's a children's picture book called Pegasus -- A Dragon's Tale and has won 11 prestigious book awards. My 2nd book (also a children's picture book) was published in 2014. That one is based on my childhood teddy bear and is called Button Nose the Sad Little Bear. It has won 6 awards.

My 3rd and newest book is called Cinderella -- A Love Story and is my own retelling of the classic faerie tale. It's basically the familiar story but has a few twists which make it more that just the faerie tale we all grew up with. This book is juvenile fiction/middle grade and is a chapter book for older readers. So far it has won 5 awards.

I also have a sequel to Pegasus in the works, which is about 1/2 finished and another book still in my head that I thought of recently. That one will be about my 1st pup and some of his adventures before my granma found him and took him home. Both of those will be picture books as well.

All 3 books have gotten excellent reviews and I'm always looking for more. If anyone is interested, just get in touch here. TIA!
