Billy Joel Pedroso (billyjgp) | 2 comments My name is Billy. I'm still quite new on Goodreads. I joined this site for the same reason that many of you joined it: I love books. I also love writing about the books that I have read. It's another thing that makes reading books enjoyable to me.

Hello Christine,
the best way is to contact me through my webpage contact form - I can send you my e-mail then (not to post it here) and you can send me a copy for reading (as a PDF or any ebook format). Or if you have free days or reduced price days on Amazon, I can download it from there directly. I'm glad to help!

Monica Myers | 3 comments Hi. I'm Monica. I'm an academic turned romance author. I recently published my debut novel and I'm already working on my second. Avid reader too. When I'm not writing, you can pretty much guarantee I'm reading. I live in Yorkshire with my partner dog and cats. Having a cat take possession of your laptop is a vital part of the writing process!

Marsha DeFilippo | 1 comments I’m Marsha DeFilippo and I’ve just published my first book, Arizona Dreams, book 1 of a 3 book series. This had been 10 years (off and on) in the process but after retiring in June 2020, I decided to finally finish the manuscript that had been gathering digital dust. Book 2 was written during the November 2020 NaNoWriMo challenge and I’m currently working on book 3.

message 18920: by Brian (new)

Brian (nomadneb) | 4 comments Hello,

My name is Brian. I'm from California and with my son have spent the year writing a children's book that he, as a 10-year-old, felt other kids would enjoy. It was a great learning experience for me, too, as I had to be teacher, clean-up artist, and editor... which meant it was an education in writing.

Anyhow, it's called "(Watch Out For) Thirteen O'Clock" and there will be a giveaway starting Sep 14. If you have a kid or love children's humor and adventure, this might be right up your alley!

Also, of course, I am a reader in my spare time! (But my son is much, much more!)

Sharon Therese Jansen (sharonjansen) | 11 comments Hi Rosh, your neighbour over here from Sri Lanka, do you read psychological thrillers?

message 18923: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Leigh | 13 comments Dear Sharon Therese, Though the book is more of a Gothic/psycholoigcal thriller than a plain psychological thriller, you might enjoy "The Thirteenth Tale," by Diane Setterfield. While it's not a new book, it's one that I feel should have a pretty long shelf life. Ta! for now. Vicki from U.S.

Ruthie (ruthieram_reads) | 25 comments Hello New Commenters!

I have this information on a previous page so now reposting for your information.

I'm an avid book reader and reviewer and I run a bookstagram @ram_reads with 2,000 followers

I love helping to support indie published(small publishing house) and self-published authors.

You can hire me to read, review (on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc), create creative feature Instagram/TikTok posts, and conduct an Author Interview with you on Instagram. I have various packages to choose from and my pricing is very reasonable.

I've already worked with several self-published authors and you can reach out to them to see what they thought of my work.

Jenny White author of Break The Chains A story of love against all the odds by Jenny White

Brian McMahon author of C.H.O.N.A.S THE INVADER by Brian McMahon

L.L. Lewin author of Neptune's Window First Glance by L.L. Lewin

Jo Gache author of Zalkea Origins by Jo Gache

Katie Masterman author of The Doll House by Katie Masterman

and AJ Navab author of Daybreak by A.J. Navab

Send me a message here on Goodreads, an email at ram_reads@yahoo.com, or check out my Instagram page @ram_reads to see what the posts would look like and send me a direct message there.

I'll read your synopsis first to see if it sounds like something I would enjoy reading, I read almost anything.

Paying for a review/creative social media posts doesn't guarantee a higher star review. The payment is for my time and for the reach of my platform.

I look forward to hearing from y'all!

I must say the book is very urban with dialect to match. It's a very good read you will enjoy to the end. It's interesting how you write a book. Then, you have not a sentence to start another one. Hi Norelle, how are you? Are you looking for reviewers for your book? If so, I'd love to read and review it in exchange for a physical copy, as I don't really have a good way to read ebooks. My review would be published on Goodreads and my book blog. I can also be reached by email at: justabookishblog@gmail.com

David Phillips | 4 comments Hi everyone,
I've literally only just published my first book. It is a collection of short stories and flash fiction called Derecho Rising.
It is so cool to see my book actually looking like a real book!
I'd love to get some review of it now it is out there.
My next aim is to concentrate on a longer form story that I have been kicking around and planning for a while.

Valerie Perry | 1 comments Hello! Good to see The Alchemist listed in this group. Two others that pair nicely with it are The Holy Man by Susan Trott and Illusions by Richard Bach.

I've written and self-published 11-going-on-12 books and was recently inspired by a new writer to do some more reaching out to writers who need motivation. I started a group, Write the Book You Want, here on Goodreads and just posted "you can write your first line!" on writethebookyouwant.com.

I'm a writing coach and I hold writing circles; I write fiction, prose-poetry, short stories, and books about writing; one of them is Write the Book You Want: Be Your Own Coach. Need any help with your writing?

Looking forward to chatting with people!

message 18943: by Sue (last edited Sep 14, 2021 01:25PM) (new)

Sue McKerns | 24 comments Hi, All. I am Sue McKerns, a reader, and here's my intro. I got hooked on the original Lost in Space tv series as a kid. By hooked I mean I would play hooky from after-school bible class to get in my Lost In Space. I, age 8, would also sit at the top of the stairway to the second floor and peek around the corner and down into the living room when an episode of UFO was on. Later, I would spend my lunch money on paperback Science Fiction & Fantasy books. So that's my origin story and I've had an SFF obsession ever since (40+ years now). My family never understood :( but that never slowed my interest.
I went on to get a practical job in a law firm (not a lawyer) and that's been me for the last 30 years, with SFF on the side. Kinda boring. But then I discovered beta reading. I can't write a thing, but I've found that I can help writers along the way, and I'm always impatient to get started on the next project. After all this time I've finally found a way to contribute to the SFF I love.

message 18945: by [deleted user] (new)

I've written a couple of books on A Course of Love, and ACOL is a continuation of A Course in Miracles; the books are Being Who You Are: Pondering A Course of Love; and A Course of Love: an Overview. All of this was previously unpublished material, though I have had a blog entitled 'Miracles Each Day" for 12 years, a mostly daily blog.
I am now writing a prayer book and would welcome advice and comments from anyone who has published one or more prayer books. I would also welcome hearing comments about my published books.

Jacqueline | 7 comments Hello everyone! My name is Jacqueline P. Walker; I am new to the group and trying to navigate Goodreads! I have always enjoyed reading (fiction or non-fiction) but am usually drawn in by some inspirational aspect. I recently published a fictional memoir, A Season of Disruption. Looking forward to interacting with readers and authors.

R Smith | 1 comments Greetings,

My name is R Edwin Smith. I am a new author that has just self-published his first novel, The Permyriads (literally meaning the one-in-ten-thousand). The story is what you might expect if Isaac Asimov and George Orwell had co-authored a science-fiction dystopian novel. It is a frighteningly realistic near-future Earth where predatory capitalism and robotic automation reach their logical apex by consolidating all power and control into the hands of the richest of the rich.

John Servant | 19 comments My name is John Servant. I have written three Christian fiction books. My first book, The Arrow That Flies By Day, is a story about overcoming all the obstacles in your path to achieve your dreams, become a true hero and find redemption. My second book, The Narrow Gate, is a story about unbridled ambition and political corruption of a powerful US senator and the power of friendship and how it can help in finding the way back from the abyss and finding redemption. My third book, Always Before Me, is a story about what to do if your failures are always before you and how to snatch victory and your dreams from unjust tragedy.
