Hi there and thank you for your follow.
Hi everyone. It's great to be a part of the Goodreads inner circle! I'm an award-winning former newspaper journalist (I wrote for the biggest-selling daily in Australia for over 20 years) and during that time I knocked out a fairly successful true crime series (the Dirty Dozen series) and a crime novel (The Robbers, which was shortlisted in the Best First Fiction category in the prestigious Ned Kelly Awards). More recently (last week, June 30 to be exact) I had my first YA novel - an action/adventure story with a healthy dose of sci-fi - published. The synopsis: A teenage brother and sister, and members of a secret military unit, face life-changing choices and find new purpose after an alien spacecraft crashes off the coast of Queensland, Australia.
Written for young adults, and adults young at heart, Zenith hopes to entertain and maybe even empower during these challenging times we're all experiencing...and beyond. Inspired by many sources - movies, Greek myths and graphic novels - it's a real rollercoaster ride of a read!
If you think it sounds like a ride for you, you might like to check out my new author page at:

In the meantime, stay safe and keep reading.
Hello all GoodReaders! I am Cameron Scott Patterson and I'm as new as it gets. My debut novel - THE NEED TO KNOW, a suspense thriller built around an adoption search gone wrong, is out on Amazon and on GoodReads! And I like reading thrillers / smart spy books. Glad to be here.
Hello! I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. I enjoy literary and historical fiction, women's fiction, history in general and books on spirituality. After spending the majority of my career in marketing, I decided, during the pandemic, it was time to move in a new direction and follow my bliss. I'm excited to be writing full-time and have finished the draft of my first book (currently working with an editor). I still have much to learn but I have to say, this was the best decision I ever made.
Hello all! I write dark paranormal and fantasy romance, and I read pretty much every subgenre of romance as long as it's steamy. Enemies-to-lovers is my favorite trope, and coffee is my biggest addiction. I look forward to being part of this group!
Hello all. I have been working on a couple of books and restarting a web page for my Goodreads book: http://www.AmericanWop.com.
Hi Vincent:I am happy to be a part of your group! I am Dyanna Morrison, author of debut book/stage play, Justice, and also, the soon to be self-published second book/stage play in the trilogy, Redemption. The Justice trilogy focuses on the ongoing challenges and triumphs of Judge Grace Porter as she presides over first and second amendment protection/abuse cases, as witnessed by our founding fathers, through a one way window in the courtroom.
Here are the links to my amazon page and website:

I've generated some encouraging feedback from educators who are planning to incorporate my writing into their classroom curriculum!
I am also starting to work on a series of illustrated Children's books that are really not only for children, but for anyone who has ever loved a pet, stay tuned!
Looking forward to connecting!

Hi. My name is Peter. My Goodreads profile states that I am one hundred and six years old and I am identical in looks and mannerisms to that famous film star Elmer Fudd. But you don't have to believe that if you are of a serious, discriminating nature.I am a writer of dark, humorous short stories of dyspeptic fiction (I chose that description wisely). I have three collections of short stories in e-book format currently self-published on the Kobo Bookstore, with a fourth book due out in October of this year.
I have also published a short mini-novel - I, Chimp (life from the other side of the bars) – which is an autobiographical account written by a zoo chimpanzee who has artistic aspirations but little material to paint with and no appreciation from the keepers. (And I have just realised that that chimp could be me.)
https://www.kobo.com/en/search?query=...
None of my short stories have won any awards, and none of my books are in great demand by a greatly demanding reading public - or have film producers clamouring to turn the stories into cinematographic masterpieces. I, like a lot of other ‘aspiring’ writers, am merely writing stories that are very unlikely to be read by any number of readers in any great quantities. This is due to supply and demand.
The supply of stories greatly exceeds the demand of readers.
Because of this fact, I have come to the conclusion that the only way for us unread story-tellers to achieve a modicum of readership is to have leading novelists moved aside. So, for example, aspiring short story writers, like myself, could arrange to have Tom Hanks seriously attacked by a grey squirrel.
(Please note: I am only joking about the above suggestion – should Tom Hanks have a terrible accident with a grey squirrel any time in the near future, it has nothing to do with me: I was at home at the time, reading Uncommon Type, when the transaction of fifty-two thousand hazel nuts was placed into Bannertail the grey squirrel’s nut store.)
Thank-you for patiently reading my prattle.
Peter Coomber
I'm incredibly slow coming in here to do this, but I just wanted to take a moment to welcome all those new members who joined over the past few weeks.
Hello Fellow Book Lovers and Writers--I design my fiction novels to carry a cause. Story of a Stolen Girl raises awareness of the trafficking of our children and young women. Read about how Darby's privileged life is turned upside down after an innocent adventure. College is a place to explore, learn about the world and the people who make things happen. But as Darby learns, not all of this is good.
Free on Kindle Unlimited, $2.99 eBook, $12.99 paperback. I would love to hear your thoughts. Learn more at http://patspencer.net.

Paul wrote: "My next Western romance novel, "A War Not Over" about the building of the transcontinental railroad will be coming out soon. Conflicts among the construction workers, conflicts with Native American..."Read this boring book if you have nothing better to do in life, LOL. Full of typos, laughable characters and cheesy plotline. The ending gets even better - there is no ending at all. The author leaves a cliffhanger in which he pastes a link to his upcoming sequel lol.
Paul wrote: "My next Western romance novel, "A War Not Over" about the building of the transcontinental railroad will be coming out soon. Conflicts among the construction workers, conflicts with Native American..."Book deserves to be thrown on the ground and stamped by your own feet like trash

Hello Everyone,I have self-published 3 eBooks on Amazon. The first one was a Self-Help book and the other one was a Mystery Drama. My latest book is a collection of 8 short stories that fall under the Supernatural Thriller genre. The Amazon link to the eBook has been copied below:
https://www.amazon.com/When-Start-See...
'When You Start Seeing It'
Every story in the book tries to highlight the same point:
"When a suspicious or unnatural event occurs, something which does not have a practical explanation, then there are 2 ways of looking at it. Either believe it to be something supernatural, or look at it as a figment of one’s imagination. An imagination conceived out of a scared mind.
Something that seems supernatural, may actually be something that has a practical explanation.
Something that seems normal, may actually be something that is supernatural, something which is way beyond our practical thinking."

Hi writers and readers, I am Ziri Dafranchi an avid reader and prolific writer. I like to refer myself as an inspirational author because I write mainly from inspiration and to inspire. I'm James Ockwell (totally my real name) and I wrote my first post-apocalypse science fiction book called Unknowns. An okay(ish) book you can get on Amazon. I would recommend reading it if you have nothing better to read (and not particularly sensitive to violent/shocking content): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089WHLR7G.Some people love it, some people don't. Check my Goodreads reviews. It's free in a day from this post. As someone who wants to continue writing in this genre, I'd love feedback, so get it when it's free or on Amazon Kindle Unlimited (otherwise don't). I'm planning on doing more SciFi and perhaps romance and general fiction.
