Hi Carlyle, welcome. Good luck with A Beast so Beautiful.
Hi ,I am new on Goodreads. It's great to be here.
I am Dr Zayne. I used to be a vet surgeon; now retired.
I am a life and relationship coach, writer and course instructor.
I have always loved reading and now write nonfiction -drawing from my coaching interest and experience, as well as fiction-because I simply like stories.
My first book, Let Go: Love Another Day, is available for preorder on Amazon .
Hello, My name is Ryan Hendrick, and I am very new to GoodReads. That being said I am happy to join the community!
I'm an independently published author through Amazon KDP, currently working on my first book series "WildSpace!" (Many people ask about the exclamation point, which was included in the title in hopes for brand recognition and setting my books apart.)
I've been a lover of literature since I was a child and while I don't find as much time to read these days, I'm always trying to branch out in my interests.
As far as my writing goes, I'm confident that I won't stay in one particular genre, but for now I am comfortably settled into my Space Opera/Western. If anyone in this group has a question or are interested please take a look at my current book WildSpace! Call to the Edge on either Amazon or my GoodReads author tab.
I am currently accepting questions as well in the Ask the Author feature, I look forward to connecting with like minded book enthusiasts!
I'll ask it again--has anyone actually seen book sales as a result of posting here? Paul F. Murray

There's a cosmic fight happening right now, and you're missing it,
Three days left for the big reckoning. The clock is ticking. What are you waiting for?!

Hi Ryan, welcome. Good luck with your series.
I am currently reading: The Promise (The Blackbirds Book 1) by Nora Wolfenbarger and it's really good!! I am supposed to be updating my works spreadsheets, but, I keep picking the kindle back up to carry on reading - hee hee!!

That just goes to prove my point--There are too many authors, not enough readers. People post things to this platform thinking that they'll get some good publicity for their books, and then--nothing happens, and nobody remembers them, if anybody even bothers to read their posts. Goodreads needs a way to draw some serious attention to novels that are worthy of attention. Right now, I'm not seeing anything like that except for book giveaways that cost authors hundreds of dollars.
Hello everyone, I'm Kristine. I've always been a keen reader. Writer... not so much, at least not for the first 20 or so years of my life. I've worked as a journalist, TV presenter and also project manager for European Union funded art and environmental projects. I did start my own creative writing at some point. My first novel, Journals of the Undead, was published on Amazon on November 2020. It's a fantasy novel but I also write in other genres.I'm always looking for new books to read and meet fellow book lovers.
I'm originally from Latvia but currently I am based in Norfolk, UK.

Hi everyone!I'm Elle. Im a pharmacy technician from the UK.
Writing wise I'm a newbie. I'm currently in the editing stages of my first novel. (A contemporary romance / rom-com.)
Thanks go to the 2020 lockdown for giving me to push! Prior to that, I hadn't written a word since my college days. I'm here to hopefully pick up tips and knowledge. I'm also a part of the writing and bookstagram communities on IG.
Reading wise well, my first ever job was in a library so... 😅 you can probably guess. I love books!
My next Western romance novel, "A War Not Over" about the building of the transcontinental railroad will be coming out soon. Conflicts among the construction workers, conflicts with Native Americans. The U.S. marshal who tries to get some control over it, and the young lady who helps him. Paul F. Murray

Hi Elle, welcome. Good luck with your contemporary romance. Does it have a name yet?
Hi I'm Bruce. My first novel is about to go on sale on Amazon in a couple of days. It is a mystery thriller etc etc - I'm not trying to sell it here,
I like writing more than I like reading, I also like talking about writing more than reading and I don't mind edit swaps or whatever they're called.
Anyway I'm new and I'm hoping to find some one who has the same interests,
Thanks
Bruce

That's about the truth of it. I see these notices from authors thinking that everybody is going to just go out and buy, buy, buy their novels. That doesn't happen, however. Too many books, not enough readers.

My debut novel:

Welcome to the Finding Happiness in Harmony series’ first journey celebrating the bonds of friendship, love, and life. This feel-good story of first love and best friends will have you believing you too can find it all.
Warning: This novel contains a happy ending.
Twenty-five-year-old Chloe Larson has never had a relationship or been really kissed by someone. After a rough childhood spent hiding a secret and being ridiculed, Chloe believes she’s better off with only friends around her. That way she can’t get hurt or misused.
She spends weekends living life to the fullest with her best friends and roommates Gaby and Jess and weekdays proving her worth as a newly promoted reporter. The thing is, she doesn’t have time for anything romantic. But secretly she longs for that special connection with someone.
Chris Sherman is bored of the selfish women who flock to him. Recently out of a relationship, he isn’t looking for love. But everything changes when he meets Chloe Larson. She has a way about her that excites and intrigues him, leaving him desperate to get to know her.
Will they both find the courage to let each other in and experience the joys and pains of love, life, and happiness to find it all?
Congratulations Chantal, you have an impressive resume of accomplishments. Keep riding the wave. Now, find suitable trade publications and submit articles. Market, market, market. Are you an independent consultant? LLC? I rode that wave in a different industry some time ago. Go Girl!
