Hi Donna. Thank you for your message. It’s an interesting point about buyer profile. I aimed for a totally new market as this new book is not really about Karate, however the karate enthusiasts are buying it and talking about it, but as well this time, people from musical backgrounds are also very keen. I’m very pleased with the response and because it’s such a very personal documentary, family and friends are also getting copies.
I really would like organisations involved in child abuse to take an interest, as ultimately this is what the book is about.

Kind thanks Jared. It’s not a regular kind of read I’m afraid, but quite a shocking view of my life as a victim of a pedophile, and my fight to emerge from that childhood into the real World.
Best regards to you.

Sandeep Jayaram (sandeepjayaram) | 65 comments To everybody here with much respect.

A Ladder Of Panties by Sandeep Jayaram A Ladder Of Panties, currently rated 4.5 stars, reached #2 on the Kindle store, in the recent past. Three days ago, it was invited by Amazon.in to join its Prime Reading programme. In short, A Ladder Of Panties has made it to the top 1000 books, out of a possible 12 million on the website. Besides the above, it has also received 4 Kindle Book Deals.

Here's the trailer. Unlike others, this one has been shot with actors, dialogue, sets and an original sound track. Would love to hear your take.

S. MacAndrew | 4 comments Hullo,

So I am the classic 'writer who doesn't finish anything. Except I got pneumonia and couldn't leave the house so I stayed in bed and wrote furiously until I got to the end. Much to my own surprise I might add.
The result was a Werewolf Romance that I am now hoping to get some reviews for. Enormous fun to write :)

Once I had done that I got down to work on my day job, and as a side project I wrote a Resource Book for Teachers of English to very young children. I had to self publish it because the publishers without exception said'Oh we don't do that.' to which I could only wail 'I know, that's why I had to write it for my teachers in the first place!' Grrrrr

Hi! My name is Emily, I'm16 and I'm new to writing. I've been reading nonstop for years and one day I just decided that I wanted to write my own. I'm very new to this though so I'm still learning. I'm not full-on publishing a book right now but I have posted my story to the creative writing section of this website, called A Match Made in Heaven about angels in an enemies to lovers story. I'm going to add a fantasy element to it too but It's going to take a few chapters to get to it.

She has been totally isolated from those who love her and in permanent fear of imperfection – which won’t be tolerated by Thomas. Martha’s only release is her diary to which she confides her deepest secrets, her conflicting feelings, her resentment of Thomas’s high standards, and her sadness that her family is broken. Getting your books noticed is always difficult, regardless of the way you choose to try and put them in front of readers. Getting those who notice them to actually review them has always been even harder still. Add to that the fact that some people aren't reading as much as is normal for them right now - either because they aren't in a position to buy the books, because they aren't in a good place mentally/emotionally to read as much as they did pre-pandemic, for some other reason, or for a combination of those things - and suddenly getting that many reviews seems like a fantastic achievement. At least, I think so. And, to be honest, all you can really do is keep trying to get your books in front of readers, and be glad those who have taken the time to read and review them have clearly enjoyed them.

C.A. Salisbury | 3 comments Hi everyone. I'd like to introduce my latest (and 1st) novel, Mostly Dead. It is a supernatural thriller based in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The story focuses on Alan Curtis, a haunted man returning home after years away. His return is marred by the discovery of a mutilated body, which turns out to be only the first in a nightmare that grips the town. The story has chills, mystery, and even a little romance. I invite you all to check it out.

Roy Awbery (roy_awbery) | 2 comments Hi, is it normal to receive requests for a free copy of your book to carry out a review (when you haven't asked someone to do it)? I have received such a request from someone but their Goodreads profile is private so I cannot see who they are or what they do. They say they cannot download a copy from Amazon, cannot receive gift versions and won't buy a copy. Is this irregular or am I just being overly cautious?
This is all new to me since publishing my debut book, The Scariest Dinosaur, on Amazon, so any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

Hello, thank you for posting here. I belong to this group as well. I recently wrote and self-published a memoir. It tells the compelling true story of all that I went through in order to "make peace" with a chronic painful condition and the loss of my religious vocation. I was in the Catholic Convent trying to make it to Final Vows as a Franciscan Religious Sister but had to leave in 2007 because of my poor health. Might this be a genre you are interested in? And if so, would you be interested in reading my memoir and then blogging about it? If so, please e-mail back at: behindthetapestrymemoir@gmail.com. Thanks so much and God Bless!
