D.M. Porters (dmporters) | 5 comments Hello Everyone,
I am (finally) a writer of historical romance. For 35 years, I was trapped in the body of an accountant but yearned to get out. Happily retired now, I am enjoying the freedom to write and grow as an author.
I look forward to interacting with other authors and readers.
Cheers,

Trish Arrowsmith (trisharrowsmith) | 46 comments Hi. I'm Trish.
I've been an avid reader all my life and have enjoyed writing since my early teen years. My debut novel is scheduled to be released on May 1. Nursery's Rhyme with additional novels scheduled for release every six months through May 2023.
I got a little hung up on not publishing but now that I've committed, the manuscripts that have been sitting on my shelf will finally get their chance in the spotlight.
I would love to connect with fellow authors and readers of psychological suspense/thrillers.

Hello V.J!

As you are an actual archeologist, I have a story that I would dearly love you to read! My second book, called For the Ages is science-fiction but has two archeologists as leading characters. Please check out my book trailer here on goodreads.com under my author's profile. In exchange, I would love to read your book and provide a review. I just created a group on this website to do just that for all authors, which is described below.

If you have an e-book, then let's exchange and get ourselves on the board.

-------------------------------------------------
I have begun a new group on goodreads.com called Authors' Review Exchange. The idea is for new or experienced authors to find other authors in their genre(s), read each other's works, and leave a review here -- at a minimum - and on Amazon or other high profile sites. Of course this will work best in e-book format to ease the exchange.

The drive behind it is that I am a new author who needs reviews and I figure others are in the same boat. In a recent interview a representative of goodreads.com outlined that this site -- like Netflix -- is driven by reviews which are collated and compared in
order to suggest new books to avid readers. This includes those of their chosen genre(s) as well as introducing new suggestions. The site is also geared toward the next tier, i.e. leaving out the JK Rowlings and Stephen Kings since everyone knows who they are.

I invite other authors who feel this is a worthy idea and encourage them to let others know.

Hello Anthony,

My name is Michael J. Scharen and I'm a new author of science-fiction. I've just started a new group on goodreads.com called . The idea is to get authors of similar genres or interests together to review each other's books here on this website. I feel we can bootstrap each other's work and really leverage this website for what it does best -- collate reviews and suggest books to readers based on them. Who knows? Someone reading the reviews might place more value on them as coming from other writers.

You can see my author's profile here under Michael James Scharen. I have my books listed there along with trailers and other fun stuff.

Take Care,

Michael J. Scharen

Great to hear! The more folks we have with this idea in mind, the greater the number of possibilities for a proper match and exchange.

I hope more will join, so we can get that critical mass of authors needed to wind this up.

Hello, I am a new writer. My first book was just published and is currently selling on Amazon. My story is a nonfiction tale of breast cancer from a patients point of view. It is titled What Dumbass Doctors Tell You A Patient's Perspective. Yes, many doctors have told me many crazy things, but after a second opinion, my own research, and advocating for myself my story became a published book. It is a must read for physicians, cancer patients, and even caretakers. All reviews are welcomed. The e-book version is currently on sale until April 5. https://www.amazon.com/What-Dumbass-D...
