Hi everyone! I'm David Charles Brower and just published on March 5th my first short story book, Dance of the Love Caterpillars: An Inspirational Romantic Tale of the Adventure of Loving and Trusting Life. It's a romantic love story allegory with 30 original illustrations - a daring format for an adult book! It's the genesis of my having lost the love of my life, after 27 years of marriage, and wanting to remind myself to trust again in life, to believe in the magic of serendipity, to dare to adventure places within and around, and believe in my transformational abilities for the future of my life...to heal while also find LOVE again, including starting within myself. And in the end, savor life as much as possible, sensorially especially. I'm glad to be here on Goodreads, and welcome your wisdom and guidance on how to best get involved and, of course, connect with the readers that would love love this empowering story. Thanks again and may you love and trust life....again and again, come what may in your life. Ciao from Paris, David
Hello all. What a slog this book marketing thing is. In sheer desperation, I’ve just sent a ‘signed for’ copy of Cockadoodledoo to Jeremy Clarkson. Well, he has a farm so I figured he’d enjoy book. The book by the way is an autobiography of my life in farming, oh yes, and a year spent escorting in order to buy a new bull and clear the sheep induced overdraft. The two occupations overlapped, badly, with messy results.
Hi. I'm Ray Dan Parker, author of a mystery series spanning from rural North Florida in the 50s and 60s to Atlanta today (same primary character). I'm currently working on my fourth in the series.Except when I have a new release, I prefer to post reviews of other authors I've read and enjoyed. My tastes run to about any kind of fiction, except fantasy and children's, and non-fiction, as long as it's not technical, religious or political.
I look forward to seeing books from other authors out there.
Hello everyone, I'm Sarah :)I don't have the talent for writing but I love reading so much! I am a very slow reader and I love getting lost in the stories that I read. When I'm not buried in my book, you can find me in the garden, playing sports, strumming a guitar, chilling with a cup of coffee, or just hanging out with friends and family.
I hope we become book-loving friends <3

Caught in the pot
By Hogan Short
Published: March 2021
ASIN : B08Z3CB28Z
Language : English
Print length : 281 pages
Caught in the Pot is about a young man falling desperately in love, just as he begins to develop an addiction to opioids, and what lies and truths are worth living and loving through.
Kane is a wandering twenty-something, tattooing his way from town to town, looking for a place he can call home -- but what is home? Kane arrives in Sachem, a quaint fishing town on the Atlantic Ocean, where he meets and falls for the charming Tilly. When Kane finds work on a high paying lobster boat, Tilly becomes worried -- the dangerous and demanding work has led to tragedies of all kinds.
Caught in the Pot is a beautifully tragic novel by author Hogan Short. If you like sweet contemporary romances -- and the power and failure of the human condition -- then you'll love this contained story of love, forgiveness, and the ways in which we hope and struggle to find our own way...and each other.

Hi, I'm Jari Hinshelwood, dropping in from Sweden.A television writer to begin with, I braved the dark waters of proper authordom after discovering that my great-grandfather wrote for storypapers. Turned out my grandfather was a published author as well.
Thus, clinging to faith in the gene pool, I banked hard and crossed the event horizon. A bunch of books later, it's still dark and I have no idea where I am. But I am glad to be here and to share.

Hi Everyone My name is Máire and I am new to goodreads.
I am a full time Health Promotion Officer with the Health Service in Ireland. I have just recently launched my debut novel Freewheeling to Love. It was a little pet project that turned into a novel. I am still in the phase of I can't believe I actually wrote a book.
It is available free on Kindle unlimited on any of the Amazon sites. I love the outdoors and living in Co. Kerry, Ireland I basically live in an outdoor paradise. My novel was inspired by my training for the annual Ring of Kerry charity cycle and my love of all things romance. I am one of those people sob their way through a romantic movie.

I'm usually open to any genre, but I find that fantasy novels are the ones that stick out to me the most. I guess there's really something about getting lost in another world besides ours.
Hiya! I'm Jon, and I'm an avid reader and a new first time author.I've been on Goodreads a while now as I find it an invaluable source for finding new and interesting books to read. :)
As of last week, the boot (or should that be 'book'?) is now on the other foot, as my debut novel 'HUNTERS' came out and I'm trying to find a way to encourage people to read it... Which is harder than it seems!
For myself, I love to read SciFi, Fantasy, Comedy, Urban Fantasy and Cyberpunk, and I'm big on supporting the work of Indie Authors especially. There are some real hidden gems out there if you just take the time to look!

Hey y'all,I'm Sara. I recently self-published a book, "The Billionaire's Gift," officially becoming a published author. Most of the stories I write are romance, with some type of twist. I like to add a little spice to my stories, so there are some sexy scenes and some action.
As a black woman, I sometimes felt like I didn't see enough black characters so I decided to write some. My dream is to continue to write and publish books. I hope to get to know you all, and maybe you can help along my journey. I look forward to meeting people and chatting (when I have the time outside of my day job).

Hi John
ParthenaI am an independent writer and my first novel is available at the moment for just $0.99 until Thursday, if you fancy giving it a go.
My Novel Parthena is now on promotion, with Amazon Kindle.
Normally $6.63, Promotional price $0.99
This promotion is only until
12am on the 24th March 2021 PDT.
Parthena, is a western novel that links
Victorian London and the Jack the Ripper murders with the wild west of Wyoming.
It is an adventure, a mystery and a love story.
Parthena, has had good reviews on
Amazon and also a very nice review on Goodreads.
If you give it a go, I hope you enjoy it.
This is a brief synopsis
Gen. James Cambridge flees his London home at the times of the Jack the Ripper murders, after his wife is found murdered and his house burnt to the ground. He is suspected of murdering Parthena Cambridge.
James’ brother Michael is suspected, not of Parthena’s murder, but of the possibility that he is actually the Ripper.
After Parthena is murdered, James disappears to Wyoming, in America’s wild west.
Some years later, the General, now the owner of a ranch called ‘Parthena’, is living a life of mystery. He is now married to a Cheyenne girl who is virtually the same age as his own daughter. His wife Tantra has a son called Jamie, a half Cheyenne, half white youngster.
And then there is the notorious Ben Denver, working as foreman of the ranch. Denver is an ex-hired gun, fast on the draw and a man with a difficult past that is slowly coming back to haunt him.
Things change even more, when Victoria Cambridge, the General’s estranged daughter, turns up with her fiancé, Robert Mason, to see her father punished for what she believes is the murder of her mother. Richard Gleeson, owner of the town’s saloon, is a man intent on owning Parthena for himself and like Michael Cambridge, determined to wreak vengeance on James.
Is it a coincidence that when Michael Cambridge leaves London to track his brother down in Wyoming, the Ripper murders stop? How did Parthena Cambridge really die?
Hi! I'm Hanna. In the near future I will start writing my own book. I enjoy reading and daydreaming about new stories.
Hello,My name is Michael J. Scharen and I have several books on offer. All are science fiction, but it is much more than aliens or laser battles. There is plenty of action but also a take on human colonization of Mars and other places, politics, intrigue, real science as well as FTL travel -- it is an interesting mix of both 'conventional' space travel and the Sci-fi variety.
I am giving away 100 eBook copies of my first book -- Sol is Not Lost to those who make a request at authorscharen@physicist.net
Let me know what eBook format you prefer .epub or .mobi(Kindle), where to email it (Kindle address?), then I will send it right out!

Agree, tough to get people to want to read your book. I guess we just keep trying and have a little fun while we are at it.
Hi, my name is Leesa Ellen. I’m new to Goodreads and new to the author world. My first title, Shadow’s Angel, is an Australian adventure story about destiny, atonement, and an unbreakable bond. Description
Killed in an at-fault car crash, 18-year-old Lucinda returns as an angel to lead her grieving dog, Shadow, away from an inevitable life of loneliness and toward the only person she trusts to take care of him - her best friend Astrid.
Unfortunately, finding Astrid is no simple task, but rather a three thousand kilometre journey across Australia filled with gloomy city streets, dusty outback roads, wannabe-film-star divas, drunken farmers with guns, rev-head sheep wranglers, a psychic-medium little girl and a handsome truck driver with a secret burden of guilt.
It's going to be one hell of an adventure
I started Shadow’s Angel over ten years ago after my grandmother’s passing left me questioning, what would happen to my animals if something were to happen to me?
The story grew from an idea, and over the years has transformed (with the help of some amazing editors and manuscript Assessors including my favourite, Miles Franklin award winner, Tom Flood) into a novel that I know I can be proud of.
Apart from writing, I am also a photographer and truck driver. I have two dogs of my own, one of which features on the front cover of Shadows Angel, and two rescue cats.
I would love to make some connections here on Goodreads, and of course would love to wish everyone who, like me is a first time self published author, massive luck with your book.Shadow's Angel

Hi folks,I'm Bertalan, the author of Believe, Live, RUn, which is about my unlike journey from a village to becaome a biomedical engineer.
In a nutshell, I was raised up in a small village in Hungary. On my way sometimes spiced with desperate situations, finally I graduated in 2018 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) as an engineer. My disease and commitment inspired me to interconnect my engineer job with my personal contact and also the healthcare: by going on with my studies, I obtained master degree at the joint biomedical engineer programme of the BME and Semmelweis University.
I've written a book about my story, inlcuding cancer, sport, health and engineering aspects.
Please, check it out on my page, if you are interested in these topics.
Give me a feedback, drop me a message about you opinion!:)
Best wishes,
Bertalan

Though I'm from Nigeria, but I write in foreign style. I've never really liked my local style, to the point of not watching their movies or any other shows...Is that weird?
I'm an open book, and I would love to get to know more people, and hopefully learn more. I never joke with "knowing more than I already know!"

I've published five books to date: two young adult rom-coms titled I Dare You to Love Me and I Dare You to Stay With Me; a new adult paranormal romance/thriller called In the Dark; a new adult epic fantasy with a sprinkle of romance titled Asta and the Barbarians, and a new adult science fiction/fantasy with (you guessed it!) just the right amount of romance called The Andromeda's Ghost.
I'm published through small presses but I've also self-published. I see the benefits of both. I've learned so much from my publishers. I've met some great people and some not so great people, and have grown a lot since I published my first book. Now that I've discovered how to produce a good self-pub book, though, I think I'm leaning more toward that avenue just because I have more creative power.
