Hi everyone! I am an author of Psychological Thrillers and suspense. I have four books out now. I'm also an avid reader. My daughter and I just started a book club podcast called Unravel The Binding - our 1st episode aired today. We're hoping to get people to read along with us and discuss. Nice to meet everyone.

Hi everyone, I like to read books and sometimes write articles. Once even wrote for a real paper magazine! :)I'm exploring development opportunities for a young writer. I wonder how one becomes a writer, what one starts with :)

I was going to tag your book as a 'want to read' but the links didn't take me to the page for the book, and I couldn't find it when I searched.

Hi, I'm Margie Peterson, an avid reader. I am a writer on the Medium platform (@margie pearl). I'm still working 8 hours a week doing social science interviews on the phone. I'm working on revising 2 novels and enjoy meeting up with my writer/reader group. I'm amazed at how wonderful Zoom is for sharing WIP. I am having a blast working with an illustrator on a children's picture book. It is slow-going but invigorating. I'll share my book titles once they're in the pipeline.
BTW, I subscribe to BookBub and read free books there; and even buy non-fiction because of them. I wanted to share my reading habits and how I choose new books as an aid to authors. The whole marketing thing is a complete jumble to me and I'm not convinced an email list will benefit me. I read my friends' stuff because I respect their style and enjoy the subject matter.
Hi All! My name is Lisa Potocar, and I'm the author of "Sweet Glory" and "Train to Glory" (Books 1 & 2 of "Glory: A Civil War Series") with a third book in the series (Gold, Guts and Glory) very close to being published. I just love reading and writing about this period in American history and, since there is seemingly interminable information on this subject, I doubt I'll get bored with it any time soon--LOL!!! Thanks for hosting this forum, Brian--it's great to discover new authors and their books and reading enthusiasts with common interests!!!

Hi All,I'm A.D. I have just published my first book: A Cloud Can Weigh A Million Pounds - it's a lighthearted crime-thriller that I would describe thusly:
"When danger befalls Scottish superstar Paddy McAlpin, it’s down to him to find out who the assailants are and what motive they have. Armed with nothing but his charisma and beguiling wit, can Paddy beat the criminals and solve the mystery of his own murder before it’s committed?"
The sequel is already written and I'm so looking forward to writing the third!
I look forward to hearing from you all.

Hi everyone, I am Alexandra and I am a published author new to the Good Reads community. I love writing for all ages and have had a children's book published called Yancy Yellowhammer and recently self published a book of poetry called 'Personal Spirit' (which is on a special offer at £4.50 until I change it back to £6 for a special lockdown offer).
They are both available from Amazon but only Yancy Yellowhammer is available online at WHSmith, Waterstones, Barnes and Noble and Austin Macauley Publishers.
I have started doing a blog over the last few weeks on here and there are links to my social media pages too in my bio.

An Introduction: I'm an old but (recently) new author. I write what I call comfortable fiction but my books don't seem to have a strong appeal to today's readers. I have received very good comments from those who have read my books and I have a need to write, so my style is what it is and will continue. I have been told by parents and teachers that teens, tweens and young adults will enjoy what I write, too. Rather than taking up the space here please go to my web site to see who I am, what I write and to get to know me a little via my blog - all of which can be found at www.lashutebooks.comL. A. I am getting the impression that there are more self-published authors out there than there are readers to read their novels. (I feel that I exaggerate only slightly.) Anybody disagree? Has anyone out there sold a lot of their books as a result of this portal?
I am an independently-published author of the Llangynog Murders series. I'm just exploring Goodreads as it is new to me. Thank you to the people who have reviewed my novels! I will be releasing the third book in the series, "Gate of Ivory, Gate of Horn," on Tuesday.
Hi everyone,I am Emmanuel Jeremiah, a first time author. I love writing and my recent book is titled, "Soothing Meditation On God's Promises." When am not writing I teach mathematics (home school). I am glad to be here.
Paul wrote: "I am getting the impression that there are more self-published authors out there than there are readers to read their novels. (I feel that I exaggerate only slightly.) Anybody disagree? Has anyone ..."There does seem to be more authors than readers on the group - possibly not, though it sure seems like it at times - but there are definitely more readers than authors out in the world in general. The trouble is finding them, or having them find you, or whichever way around you want to put it. I know a few people who have managed to do that. Unfortunately, I know a lot more who haven't, including myself. But all we can do is keep writing, keep trying to find those readers, and remind ourselves that writing is most definitely not a good way to get rich quickly.

Victoria wrote: "Paul wrote: "I am getting the impression that there are more self-published authors out there than there are readers to read their novels. (I feel that I exaggerate only slightly.) It would enable authors and readers to meet and connect more efficiently than this "scatter-gun" approach of putting out a broad-based book announcement and hoping that relevant readers notice.
Hello everyone, I'm Heather. Originally from the UK, I have been living in rural Japan for 21 years. I translate and write for a living, and love to read! I'm particularly interested in Japanese literature and philosophy.
Hi everyone! I’m a 30 year old mother to two boys living in Australia! I’m an avid reader and reviewer. Have been apart of the Goodreads community for quite a few years, however I’ve been MIA for a while as life sometimes takes the wheel.
